Thinking of you

Hi everyone !

Coming at you today with a card for the Inky Paws Challenge #43
Since I have been sidelined for that last 2 weeks being held hostage by my sinus, and cannot keep my head down for long, I'm going to keep this simple.
I used one of my favourite Stamp Sets VERSATILE VASES, with some of my favorite colors.
I LOVE me some Versamark, and made that the accent on the card.
A final touch of Distress Ink and Nuvo Drops...and I was done.
Short and sweet. Thanks for dropping by.
Till next time.

Miss You - CTD 435

Hey Everyone!
Anyone who has seen my projects know I LOVE color. When I opened the email for color Throwdown #435, an idea for a card popped right into my head.
For this card we started out with a stenciled background of Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and, Peacock Feathers.
With this much color in the background I went with a (gasp!) black and white and stamp and sentiment.
This color pallet was definitely my muse, I just love how the whole card came together.
The supplies I used are pictured below.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stamping on wood.

Hello to everyone and happy first day of spring!

Just got back form a road trip to Texas with my husband. Took more pictures than even I expected. It was SO beautiful along the way. Everything was so green and lush. I loved spending time with the family in Texas, just laughing and having a good time. Now I'm back and to get into the swing of things, I have a project that have been thinking about for awhile. I am always thinking about all the things that I can stamp on. My husband is a woodworker, so naturally wood is always at the top of my list. This piece of wood is a off-cut of Alder wood.
The most important thing is to sand the wood with fine sandpaper so that the texture is as smooth as possible. Stamping on the wood, Versafine is a must, followed be clear embossing powder ( this keeps the marker from running where its not suppose to be) I choose Distress Marker for this project. I have used other mediums, it seems that the Distress Markers colors are the most true and it is much easier to shade. Although, I suspect that Copics or other markers might work just as well.  I am so happy at the way this project turned out, because, other attempts did not go as well. I hope that you enjoyed this project and it encourages you to look around for other things to stamp on.

Bye for now
