Frenzy of Fun IPC 78

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to a new Inky Paw’s Challenge.
What a great challenge we have for the next 2 weeks!

I cannot believe that summer is almost over and how fast that it seemed to go by.
My take on this challenge uses the NEW summer releases from Newton’s Nook Designs
When I saw the Floaty Goat Stamp Set and the Shark Frenzy Stamp
this is the first thing that came to my mind.

Frenzy of Fun a card by Diane Morales | Shark Frenzy Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

The hard part was how to make it work.
As you know being Crafters, sometimes those fabulously crafty ideas in
our brain do not translate so well when you try to recreate the idea.
Originally, in my head, I had this card as a pop-up card.
But… my crafty overachieving mind could not figure out how to put together.
I went with a regular style card and choose to go with
various shades blue that ended up making the card work.
This card starts out with the sharks. I didn’t want you typical gray sharks.
Using swatches of all the blues available in the Distress ink colors,
I planned what colors will go on what sharks.

Once the Sharks were sorted out, I turned my attention to the goat.
I decided just to have just the basic grey goat with a colorful floaty,
I like the way it looked and popped on the card.
Next, came the waves with all the elements going on I decided
just to cut the waves out of the Sea Boarders Die Set
using just plain card stock. No distressing or coloring.
At this point, I did a mock-up of the card and realize that it really needed
strong backgrounds to make this whole card work with the idea in my head.
Behind the goat, I chose to go with the Clouds Sky Stencil that was
created using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder.

The background base of the card I went with royal blue cardstock,
I thought that it just showcased the rest of the blue colors quite nicely
and added that little something to make the card work.
Now it is your turn, you did not have to use as many components as I did.
Just use your favorite Newton's Nook designs stamp and
the challenge picture above and show us how you get your paws INKY!

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great rest of the week.

Diane
