Feel Better

Happy Saturday!

Got in some crafty time today and created a card for
The Lawn Fawnatics Challenge.

Cheerful Get Well.

I created the background for this card by messing around
with the Texture Paste below,
 a stencil and Distress Ink.

I inked my backround in First and then layered the Texture Paste over the ink with a stencil.
Warning! Texture Paste is a whole lot of fun, but takes a little bit of time to dry.
So have a snack handy.

End result is awesome and a great background for the "Bon Voyage Stamp Set"
A cute message in the clouds and we have a card.

Thanks for stopping by.
The stamps used and links are listed below.
Have a awsome weekend !

purrfect stripes

Hey everyone!

Today its all about the
 The Inky Paws Challenge
WE all have a lot of stamp sets.
We buy them for different reasons.
What do you do with little extras that come with main stamp?
You make stripes!

All those cute accessories stamps are the perfect choice for making stripes.
The sizes are always tiny to small, so they will not overpower your main image.
For this card I used the extras in the Newton's Antics Stamp Set.
I thought that black and white was boring, so I added color to the images.
I feel that I could have done something a little different
in the background, but I was a little pressed for time and just went for simple.
That's all I  have for now.
Links for the project are listed below.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the blog

Sail Away.

HAPPY MONDAY
(or not)

Today, I have a card today for the Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
If you have seen my work you know I LOVE a shaped card.
With Fathers Day coming up, this one was inspired by my husband who,
when retired, just wants to get on a boat and sail away.
Shaped cards are unique because you are limited in
the elements that you can add before its just to much.
This one is just layered circle dies with the elements added on top.
The waves are the interesting item here.
They are made with Ranger texture paste and Distress Stain
that was mixed together, and then swirled on the paper.
In hindsight, I should have hid the crease at the top of the card with a cloud,
but I was worried about the top getting smooshed in the envelope.

That's all for now.
Thanks for stopping by.
