Anything Goes - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

ANYTHING GOES

               Featuring stamps and dies by

ART IMPRESSIONS

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My stamp set of choice for this challenge is

Old Bat Clear Stamp Set by ART IMPRESSIONS

I could not decide which image on the stamp set to use, so why not use both!

Since the images in the stamp set are in the larger side I decided on a slimline card.

To start this card, I stamped and colored my images.

Once this was done, I fussy-cut out my images.

This gave me a good idea on how large my slimline die had to be.

Going thru my stash I came up with

The Slimline Frames and Potholes Die Set by Newton’s Nook Designs

(card front)

and

Large Slimline with sliders by Lawn Fawn

(card base)

For the card front I used #120 White Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp.

For the card base I used Lilac Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp

A scrap piece of Black Black8 Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp and

White embossing powder created my sentiment.

To created “moons”  I used Nesting Circle Wafer Dies by Simon Says Stamp

with a bit of Hickory Smoke Distress Ink around the edges to help them stand out.

With my card pieces ready to go I started to assemble my card.

I staged everything on the card front to decide what to pop up with foam tape.

Then I got all my pieces adhered to the front of the card.

Finishing touches on the card I added some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay Pen to the moons.

I adhered my card front to the Lilac card base I created

This completes my take on  ANYTHING GOES

Featuring ART IMPRESSIONS

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 158 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following product.

Count Newton Stamp Set

Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set

Circle Frames Die Set

I knew that I wanted to use the Count Newton Stamp Set for this challenge.

That makes the challenge colors… challenging!

However, the idea for this card first came to me when I first saw the Count Newton Stamp Set.

Now I must figure out how to put the two ideas together.

I started this card by die cutting out Count Newton Stamp Set

and colored in the image using the challenge colors.

The base of this card is Neenah Desert Storm card stock and the perfect color for the tan color.

A simple 2 inch strip of Burnt Orange Card Stock adds a pop of color in the background.

To create a place for Count Newton I used the 3 ½ inch stitched circle

from the Circle Frames Die Set

Now for the hard part.

I searched all my NND stamps to find the perfect coffee cup for Count Newton to hold.

There were a few good choices, I decided that the coffee cup from

the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set fit the best in Count Newton Paw.

After adding the coffee cup. I finished my card by add on my

sentiment and gluing everything together.

I added finishing touches by adding a bat and some custom made dots to match Count Newton.

This completes my take on our color challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the challenge theme and show us your take.

Envelope to Match - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

ENVELOPE TO MATCH

Featuring stamps and dies by

COLORADO CRAFT COMPANY

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My stamp set of choice for this challenge is

Kindness First by Colorado Craft Company

To start this card, I stamped and colored the images in the stamp set.

I did stamp and cut out two of the bunny’s one to use on the envelope later.

After fuzzy cutting out the images, I die cut a rectangle from

the Rectangle Basic Set by Memory Box for the card front.

I stared to stage the card by placing the cut out image on the front of the card.

This helped me decide the placement of the grass that was going in the background.

The grass in the background is part of the

On the Ground 6x6 Cling Stamp by Simon Says Stamp.

The colors I used for the grass are Bundled Sage and
Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink.

Once the grass was stamped in the card front, I attached my

stamped images to the front of the card with foam tape.

To finish my card, I stamped on the sentiment and created a card base with

Lavender Purple Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp

To create the envelope

Using a white envelope by Simon Says Stamp I first decided how much room for my

address by drawing a small square on the lower right of the envelope.

Using my lines as a guide, I glues down the second bunny that I created.

Next, I stamped the “love” and “for you” around the top of the bunny.

After erasing away the lines, I turned the envelope sideways.

Using Versamark Emboss Ink I stamped the “love” several time.

This is heat set with clear embossing powder.

This completes my take on  ENVELOPE TO MATCH

Featuring COLORADO CRAFT COMPANY

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 157 - Halloween Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following product.

Brooms and Boo’s Stamp Set

Serene Stripes Stencil

Frames and Flags Die Set

I want to be complicated on my cards but, I really don’t think that is my style.

I love a lot of white space. I LOVE color.

I am learning to embrace there things.

To start this card, I used the Curved Edge Rectangle from

the Frames and Flags Die Set die cut out in white card stock.

The color combo of choice for this card is

Cracked Pistachio and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide.

Using the Serene Stripes Stencil, I inked up only the lower left corner of my card front.

Next, I stamp and colored in my images from the Brooms and Boo’s Stamp Set.

I like to stage everything on my card front with blue tape so that

I can get the placement of my sentiment correct.

Once my sentiment was on my card, I finished card by adding the witch, bats,

and moon to the card front with foam tape.

To finish my card, I created a card base with the same Curved Edge Rectangle

die to produce a shaped card.

This completes my take on our theme challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the challenge theme and show us your take.

Lots of Layers - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week’s theme

at the

 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

LOTS OF LAYERS

Featuring stamps and dies by

PENNY BLACK

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My idea was to build my layers using stamps and foam tape.

My stamp set of choice for this challenge is Hot Diggity Dog Clear Stamp by Penny Black.

Dogs playing Mariachi…. I’m in!

For the first layer I created a background.

I picked one of the dog stamps and the On the Ground 6x6 Cling by Simon Says Stamp.

This would be my grounding image for my background.

I used simple one layer card stamping technique with masking paper.

Next step, stamping and coloring all the stamps I was going to use.

After I fussy cut out all the images, I laid everything out to see what I was working with.

Once I got the placement on the front of the card the way I liked it,

it was on to adhering everything down with fun foam and foam tape

I chose to round my corners on my card.

For my final touches, I created a card base with #120 White Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp

a layer of Black Black8 Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp came next.

My card front that is pop up using foam tape is the final layer.

and that completes my take on LOTS OF LAYERS

Featuring

PENNY BLACK
