Fun with Fall - August Feature

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Coming to you today with fun fall inspiration using the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad!

Using the falling leaves sheet from the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad.

I cut the piece in half to make it 3 inches wide.

I used the smaller stitched oval from The Oval Frames Die Set

and white cardstock, I created a feature area for my stamped image.

Next, I stamped colored and die cut the mice and leaves from the Autumn Mice Stamp Set.

I used the leaves on the printed paper as inspiration for the colors that I chose.

To assemble my card, I created a custom card base with the final measurements of 3 ¼ x 6 ¼.

First, I adhered my printed paper to the front of my card base, and my oval paper.

Using a leftover strip of cardstock from the card base I stamped on my sentiment,

and heat embossed with Ranger Yellow Embossing Powder.

Snipping both edges of the strip of paper I created a custom banner.

This banner was placed at the bottom of my oval with foam tape.

Then I added the mice and leaves above the banner.

I finished this card by adding on  my favorite white gems.

Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy take on a fall mini-slimline card.

Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Release - Day 4

 Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

For our FOURTH day of August Release

Newton’s Harvest Time!

Using this stamp set I created this card to share with you.

I started this card by creating a card base using the Scalloped Circle in the Circle Frames Die Set.

For the card front I used the stitched circle from the same die set with white cardstock.

I stamped and colored Newton’s Harvest Time using fall colors.

To make this card stand out I chose to color my wheelbarrow blue.

I do love the contrast against all the Fall colors.

After stamping on my sentiment, I glued all the layers of the card to the card base.

This card is done, and I just love the fall flare this card is giving.

Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Release - Day 3

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

For our THIRD day of our August Release

Autumn Apples!

Using this stamp set I created this card to share with you.

I started this card by creating a card base

using the large, stitched heart in the Heart Frames Die Set.

I created my card base using this die, I also die cut a piece of

green plaid cardstock from the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad to be my card front.

White cardstock and the scalloped heart from the same die set

created a place for me to stamp my sentiment.

I stamped, colored, and die-cut my caramel and chocolate apples.

After assembling my card base, I added my apples to my card with foam tape

A couple of matching enamel dots finished my card.

What a super fun stamp set! Totally excited to see what everyone creates with this.

Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Release - Day 2

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

For our SECOND day of our August Release

Chrysanthemum

For this card I started with a card base made from my favorite die the Frames and Flage Die Set.

I used a 2 ½ strip of the plaid cardstock from the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad

that is glued to a piece of vanilla cardstock that matched my card base.

I die cut this piece out using the rounded stitched rectangle in the Frames and Flad Die Set.

This created a fun and colorful card front for my flower.

After attaching my card front to the base, I turned my attention to the Chrysanthemum Stamp set.

I had to Goggle to see how a Chrysanthemum should look.

There were so many varieties, but I decided on a multi-colored look for my Chrysanthemum.

I stamped, colored and die cut out my flower.

When I was done, I attached the flower to the front of my card with foam tape.

Using mint green cardstock, and one of the banners from the

same Frames And Flags Die Set, I created a place for my sentiment.

A few matching enamel dots finished off this card.

Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Release - Day 1

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

For the FIRST day of our August Release

We have THREE amazing products for you to get your paw’s inky with!

Here are the first two NEW items!

 FALL LEAVES HOT FOIL PLATE

AND

AUTUMN GREETINGS HOT FOIL PLATE

Using this stamp set I created this card to share with you.

I stared with 2-inch strips of my favorite fall colors of cardstock glued to a piece of white card stock.

Since this is going to get hot foiled, you need to use a heat tolerant glue like

Tombow Mono Glue stick, or else your panels can become

unstuck and make your foiling look odd and uneven.

Next, I fired up my foiling machine and foiled on my leaves using gold foil

and the Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate.

For this next step, because I cannot cut a straight line, I chose

to use a basic 4 x 5 ¼ rectangle die to cut out my card front.

I created my card base the same size and attached my card front to the base.

To create my sentiment, I used the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil plate and

the same gold foil that I used for the leaves on the card.

My Sentiment is foiled on to dark chocolate cardstock and die cut out using the

Banner Duo Die Set.

The third NEW item is perfect for Fall

FALL HARVEST STAMP SET

Using this stamp set I created this card to share with you.

This card happened by accident.

I was messing around with the Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate.

I was using different foil colors and foiling them onto different card stock colors.

I decided to try Pewter foil with chocolate cardstock.

When I lifted the foil sheet up and saw the gorgeous shine, I knew that it

would make the perfect backdrop for the Fall Harvest Stamp Set

The first thing I did was to create a card base using the Frames and Flags Die Set

using the Pewter foiling that I just created.

To break up the background a bit I used the

smaller scalloped oval from the Oval Frames Die Set.

This will be a neutral backdrop for my stamped images.

Next, I stamped and colored the Fall Harvest Stamp Set.

I wanted to make sure the image stood out, so I used bold fall colors.

I also used a checkboard for the middle of my sunflowers, to add a pop of white.

Once all my stamped images were die-cut, I created a banner, using

one of the sentiments from the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plate.

I used desert storm card stock and black foil for this banner.

I die cut this banner with the Banner Duo Die Set.

Now that I have all my pieces, I assembled my card using foam tape to pop up my images.
