Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release - Day 1

MERRY DAYS AHEAD!

Who is ready for fun new release!

To start things off we have

Evergreen Frame Die Set

Merry Christmas Die Set

 Christmas Basics Paper Pad

Using these fun new products I created these items.

I LOVE the Evergreen Frame Die Set!!

The background on this die cuts out completely

and makes it easy to pop into different pieces.

This makes this die very versatile and so much fun to use.

I die cut out three pieces of cardstock.

Teal for the sky

Green for the trees

and white cardstock for the frame.

After layering all the pieces onto an extra piece of white card stock,

and gluing everything together, I created this card front.

I die cut one extra piece of the white card stock to create a frame that goes around the outside.

This was quick and easy to do by just trimming out the trees.

I used the Holiday Cheer Die Set to create a sentiment for the bottom of the card.

I used the same red card stock as I did for the card base to cut out the background.

Then I used white glimmer cardstock to cut out the words.

To finish this card, I added bits of snow with white paint and glued on Sparkly gems.

For the next card, I started again with red card stock.

I used the Plaid Stencil Set to create the background.

First, I inked on a layer using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink

When that layer was dry, I used Festive Berries Embossing Powder to ink on the final layer.

When everything was dry, I used the Frames and Flags Die Set

to create my card base and cut out my card front.

Remember those trees I cut out from the previous project to use to create the frame?

I repurposed those trees for the front of this card.

All I did was add foam tape to the back of the trees and attach them to the front of the card.

Adding Glossy Accents to all the creases in the trees.

then coveing the Glossy Accents with Rock Candy Distress Gliter

My sentiment for this card is created by using the Christmas Word Trio

so easy to make!

When you create with these word dies you get 2 sentiments.

Glossy black cardstock with white letters is my choice for my Sentiment.

After piercing my 2 new sentiments together I added this to my card foam tape.

These new dies could not be any more fun to use!

I know you will enjoy mixing and matching different card stocks and creating different sentiments.

All these new products will be available. Friday, October 18

Newton's Nook Designs Fall & Halloween - Day 4

Hello Everybody!

It is day FOUR of our New Release!

This this stamp set is going to LEAF you feeling crafty.

Leaf Splendor Stamp Set

Using this stamp set i created this card

To start this card, I used the following colors of distress oxide.

I chose one color for each of the leaves that I wanted to use in the Leaf Splendor Stamp Set.

I randomly stamped the leaves on to a piece of white card stock.

Since this is oxide ink the leaves had to dry completely before moving on.

I also stamped extra leaves with the same colors as I used for the background.

For these leaves, I used a water brush and just pulled out the color from the center of the leaf.

I also set these leaves aside to dry completely.

I created a card base by using sage card stock and the

largest scalloped edge dies from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

The background of leaves is now dry, I decided to use the

largest stitched rectangle in the Basic Frames Die Set to cut my leaf background.

This rectangle die fits perfectly in the center of the Frames and Flags Die.

After gluing my card front and card base together, I die cut out

all my water-colored leaves using the coordinating dies.

The sentiments on this stamp set come with coordinating

dies that cut around the sentiment perfectly!

I used straw colored cardstock and a die from the Circle Frames Die Set

to create a place for this cool looking sentiment.

To add my sentiment circle to the card I added just a

strip of foam tape to the center in the back of the circle

This way I could layer my leaves behind the sentiment.

I added leaves behind the circle until I liked what I saw.

To finish this card, I added a couple of gems.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Leaf Splendor Stamp Set

This and all the other fun new stamps and papers items are available Friday, September 13th

Cats and Coffee

Hello Everyone!

I hope the day is treating you well.

I have a fun card to share with you here on the blog!

For this card I used

Caffeinated cats

 Time for Coffee (sentiment)

Bright Basics Paper Pad

Frames and Flags Die Set

Basic Frames Die Set

Banner Duo Die Set

Cats and coffee my two of my favorite things!

I started this card with the Bright Basics Paper Pad

I selected the blue card stock with white hearts.

Since this stamp is going to take up most of the card front,

I just wanted a hint of something cute in the background.

I cut out the card stock with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Basic Frames Die Set.

I also used white card stock to cut out the largest scalloped

rectangle die from The Frames and Flags Die Set.

These two dies fit perfectly together and make the cutest card front !

I created a card base using matching cardstock and then layered my two die cut layers on top.

I then stamped out Caffeinated Cats.

I chose my favorite bold Marker colors and colored in the image.

I just love these large stamps; it is so therapeutic to color everything in.

Once my coloring was done, I fussy cut out the image leaving a slight border.

Then I placed foam tape on the back of my cut-out image and attached it to the front of my card.

I created a banner from the Banner Duo Die Set using some white card stock.

My sentiment comes from the Time For Coffee Stamp Set.

I finished this card by adding a bit of sparkle pen over the top of the image.

I hope you get to try this card for yourself!

 Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day!

Stay crafty my friends!

Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Release - Day 2

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

For our SECOND day of our August Release

Chrysanthemum

For this card I started with a card base made from my favorite die the Frames and Flage Die Set.

I used a 2 ½ strip of the plaid cardstock from the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad

that is glued to a piece of vanilla cardstock that matched my card base.

I die cut this piece out using the rounded stitched rectangle in the Frames and Flad Die Set.

This created a fun and colorful card front for my flower.

After attaching my card front to the base, I turned my attention to the Chrysanthemum Stamp set.

I had to Goggle to see how a Chrysanthemum should look.

There were so many varieties, but I decided on a multi-colored look for my Chrysanthemum.

I stamped, colored and die cut out my flower.

When I was done, I attached the flower to the front of my card with foam tape.

Using mint green cardstock, and one of the banners from the

same Frames And Flags Die Set, I created a place for my sentiment.

A few matching enamel dots finished off this card.

Would you like to win the “Chrysanthemum” Stamp Set?

Inky Paw's Challenge 171 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Check out this fun Sketch!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

(NEW) Tulips

(NEW) Oval Frames Die

(NEW) Springtime 6X6 Paper Pad

Frames and Flags Die Set

Love and Meows 6x6 Paper Pad

This sketch certainly inspires you to layer things up.

I am loving the Springtime 6X6 Paper Pad and used it in this challenge as well.

I also used my all-time favorite die set, Frames and Flags Die Set.

I stared this card with the Tulips Stamp Set.

I stamped and colored the tulip and die cut them out.

Now it was all about deciding the placement of the paper.

One of the sheets in the Springtime 6X6 Paper Pad has tulips on it.

So, this was an obvious choice.

The reverse paper was a lovely green stripe.

The oval frames die was used as well as the Curved Edge Rectangle.

I also die cut out the large Scalloped Rectangle out of white cardstock.

I created a standard card base and to that I added the

red polka dotted paper from Love and Meows 6x6 Paper Pad.

I love the contrast of all the papers together

Next came the striped paper and the tulip paper.

A banner with a sentiment came next.

Finally, the tulips die cut that I popped up with foam tape.

A couple enamel dots to add some flair and this card

 is done.

And that completes my take on this challenge

Now it is your turn!

Inky Paw's Challenge 159 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!
We are at the halfway point of this current challenge

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Designs product.

Batty Newton

Candy Corn Stencil

Frameworks Die Set

Circle Frames Die Set

Frames and Flags Die Set

In keeping with the Halloween theme, I created this card.

For the background I used the Candy Corn Stencil.

I kept the colors traditional using Distress Oxide Ink to make sure the candy corn stands out.

Once the ink was dry, I used the Scalloped Edge Die from the Frameworks Die Set

to cut out my stenciled image and create the center element.

Simple is the name of the game for this card.

I opted for matching yellow card stock to create my card front.

White card stock was used for the element on the rear of the sketch.

My featured stamp is Batty Newton.

I colored in my image using earthy colors.

I do like the way the colors looks against all the yellow.

To create the prize medallion that has my sentiment I started with

the 1 3/8th circle from the Circle Frames Die Set with white card stock.

Next, I found  a circle die from my stash that is slightly larger and used it with black card stock.

To finish the medallion, I used one of the flags from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

This had to be slightly trimmed down on the sides to get the proportions right.

Once the sentiment was stamped on, I glued everything together and added this to the card.

To finish my card, I placed my card front on a card created with white card stock

This completes my take on our sketch challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the challenge theme and show us your take.
