Inky Paw's Challenge 190 - Love Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love and Chocolate

Heart Frames Die Set

NEW Love and Chocolate 6x6 Paper Pad

I have a super fun card for you today!

A wee bit of planning on the card, but the end results made it all worth it.

The idea came from the colors on the challenge picture.

For some reason I thought of chocolate covered strawberries.

Using the strawberry stamp in the Love and Chocolate Stamp set I stamped out 15 strawberries.

I decided that I would color a few of the strawberries pink and a few a lighter chocolate.

This will give the strawberries a bit more dimension on the front of the card.

Once everything is colored, I brushed my strawberries with Glossy Accents

thinned down with water and placed them aside to dry.

To make the card base I used the Heart Frames Die Set.

For my card front I used pink striped paper from Love and Chocolate 6x6 Paper Pad.

Bonus! It matched perfectly with my pink strawberries. (not planed)

I chose the scalloped heart die and white cardstock to break up all of the color.

The next step was to glue down the strawberries.

I stared at the base of the heart and by placing foam tape of the back of each strawberry,

slowly added each one on until I filled up the heart.

I ended up using 13 strawberries.

I created a banner for my sentiment out of white cardstock.

I centered the banner on the bottom of the heart adhering from the back.

This will not be seen because I still must adhere my card front

to the card base, and this will hide the banner tabs.

The finishing touched on this card are to glue the card front to the base.

Also, to color in the hearts on the banner with red gel pen.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 190 - Love Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love Bots

Circle Frames Die Set

Land Boarders Die Set

Love Café (sentiment)

Pumpkin Latte (coffee cup)

 Hello everyone!

I stared my card for this challenge by creating a base made of the

Scalloped edge from the Circle Frames Die Set.

For this next part, I cheated a bit.

I went into my die stash and found a nesting circle die that just fit over the scalloped circle.

This die will be the base for my card front that I die cut out of blue card stock.

To create the grass in the background, I used the Land Boarders Die Set with green cardstock.

Once the grass was die cut out, I used the nesting circle die that I used

for my card front to make a nice even circle card front.

I glued my sky and grass together and competed my card front.

The next thing I did was to stamp, color, and die cut out the robots from Love Bots.

I add some shimmer with gel pens and placed the robots aside to dry.

I had to go looking thru my Newton stamps to find a coffee cup that would work for my idea.

I settled on the cup from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.

I also found the sentiment from Love Café.

A perfect match for my card.

The robots were added to my card with foam tape. Then the coffee cup.

I stamped my sentiment and created a simple banner around

the sentiment that I attached to my card front.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Chalenge 189 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Newton’s Sweetheart

Heart Frames Die Set

A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad

 Hello everyone!

To start this card, I used the “meow/purr” paper from A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad.

This became my background that is trimmed down to 3 ¼ by 6 inches.

Using the colors on the background paper as a guide,

I decided to use the orange paw print paper for across element.

The green polka dot became a banner.

The blue with the white dots became a heart that was die cut using the

Heart Frames Die Set.

I also created the final banner using white cardstock.

This would be where I will stamp my sentiment.

To assemble the card, I created a card base that is 3 ¾ x 6 ¼.

I glued down my background paper and then set my elements in place one by one.

I stamped, colored, and die cut out my images from Newton’s Sweetheart.

I offset my images onto the blue heart and added an extra little blue heart to my sentiment banner.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 189 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

The FIRST challenge of 2023!!!

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Franken-Newton

Heart Frames Die Set

Love and Meows 6x6 Paper Pad

AND

A bit of paper from

Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad

To start this card, I stared with an A7 card base made with red cardstock.

I cut down a piece of the heart paper from the Love and Meows 6x6 Paper Pad.

This became my card front.

A 1 ¾ leftover piece of the blue striped cardstock from

Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad that I glued down on top of the hearts.

Next comes a one-inch strip of the multi color hearts paper, that I cut into a banner edge.

Finally, a ¾ inch of red striped paper that I also cut a banner edge and glued on with foam tape.

Now that I have all the elements, on to the heart.

I used the scalloped heart from Heart Frames Die Set.

I used white cardstock to help my image stand out among all the color in the background.

My stamp set of choice is Franken-Newton.

Yes! This is a Halloween set, but it is just TOO CUTE to use once a year.

I stamped, colored, and die cut my image from the stamp set and added that to the heart.

I also stamped on a sentiment and added a couple of extra hearts.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.
