Bold Flowers IPC 122

Hello and Welcome.
It is a beautiful spring day here at my house.
The flowers are staring to bloom!
The weather is warm with a good breeze.
A great day to start this new challenge!
My favorite of all challenges A COLOR CHALLENGE!
Check out these FUN colors.

These colors demand attention
Check out this card!
Bold Flowers a card and tag by Diane Morales using the Floral Fringe Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

When I saw the color selection I immediately though of the
I started by using the mint green as my choice for the foliage. Once I colored in all the foliage, I decided to keep the daisy’s white and to use the coral color for all the other flowers. I used an exceptionally light gray marker to accent the white and make it look not so plain.

My “inner crafty voice” came up with the bold choice of black centers for all the flowers and accents.  Must listen to this voice more often, I just love the way the black brings you eye into the card and accents the bold colors.
I used black cardstock and the Frames Squared Die Set for the base of my card and finish off my card with White and Black Nuvo Drops to add dimension.

I also have this bonus tag.

Using the FANCY EDGES TAG DIE SET and one of the leftover coloring mistakes.
The die ended up slipping when I ran it thru my machine, but no worries I just cut the bottom straight.

I added my sentiment on using my favorite banner from the
FRAMES AND FLAGS DIE SET and black cardstock.
A finishing touch of black and white twine completes the tag!

Now that my project is done, what will you create???
We would LOVE to see using the link in the challenge picture above.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stay well and stay crafty

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge.
Here is the current challenge.

I hope that everybody is doing well and spending a lot of time crafting.
I finally got a break from work I am enjoying some “me” time by drinking coffee and creating cards.
I decided to something different this time by creating a shaped card for the challenge.

Here is my contribution to the hop.

Sending Uplifting Smiles Blog Hop by Diane Morales using Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

I am an essential worker; I work for Kroger. I cannot tell you how many people have left me a DM or sent a card to check on me during this time. Words cannot express how thankful I am for all those encouraging messages and cards.
Those simple acts of kindness kept me going during uncertain times.
MY card features a re-cycled holiday Stamp Set Snow Globe Scenes. Peeping out behind the buildings is the Land Boarders Die Set (a personal favorite of mine) and a couple of fluffy clouds from the Sky Scene Builder Die Set.

I colored in my buildings in the color of a rainbow, a reminder that better days are ahead!
My Sentiment come from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set. A reminder that YOU make the world a nicer place! WE as card makers can do our part to make the world a nicer place! Go to your crafty space, make some cards! They do not have to be elaborate or challenge worthy, just something that comes from the heart. Place your card in the brightest colored envelope that you can find and mail that card off!
I guarantee that you are going to brighten up someone’s day.

Thanks SO much for stopping by.

Deepest Wishes IPC 121

How is everybody doing in the current state of crazy?
Take some time and play along with the current Inky Paws Challenge.

I have not had a lot of time lately to be upstairs in my crafty area.
I work for a grocery chain, and most of my time is being spent at work.
I came up with this simple but fun card sure to brighten up anyone’s birthday.

Deepest Wishes a card ny Diane Morales using the Scuba Newton Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Design

The start of my card is the color smash background.
This is simply Tumbled Glass Distress Ink that is smashed onto white cardstock.

On top of that I stamped on my sentiment from the Scuba Newton Stamp Set.
The I added Newton and the underwater elements
that I colored in using bright tropical colors.
I add on some sparkle using Moon Dust Stickles Glitter Gel to finish this project.
Make some time and play along using the link in the challenge picture above.

I hope you and your family are doing well.
Be safe everybody.

Sending love from a distance.

Hoppy Easter Everyone! IPC 120

We are at the halfway point for the current Inky Paws Challenge.
Here is the current challenge!

Here is my take on the challenge.

Hop into Spring a card by Diane Morales using the Hop Into Spring Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

It all starts with the background.
I used the Plaid Stencil Set and the unusual choice of black and white.
On top of that I used the scalloped edge of the
Frameworks Die Set and white cardstock.
Now for the color!
I die cut an egg shape out of carstock from my Silhouette Cameo.
Using the Mountains Stencil and Pickled Raspberry Distress Ink
I decorated my egg.

Not wanting to go with traditional “green grass”,
I using the Land Boarders Die Set and blue cardstock.
This was also a great place to add on my sentiment.
With Easter around the corner I just HAD to use the Hop into Spring Stamp Set
Bright spring colors for the egg was a must!
I hope my project brings a little joy to your day.
Times are hard right now; keep you chin up we will get thru this.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

 Hugs
Diane
