Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release - Day 3

Hello Everybody!

It is day THREE of our New Release!

Christmas Coffees Stamp Set + Coordinating Die Set

Using this stamp set I created these tags!

These coffee cup stamp sets are the perfect size for tags!

I chose the two images I wanted to use from theChristmas Coffees Stamp Set

and colored in the chosen images using traditional Christmas colors.

I die cut out the stamped images and decided on how I wanted to use them.

To create the first tag, I use the Fancy Edges Tag Set and die cut out a piece of teal card stock.

I use the Quatrefoil Stencil and a rubber pressing plate to

emboss the stencil image on to the card stock.

I use the stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die as a place for my image.

This gets glued directly to the front of the tag with the image glued on top.

Using “JOY” from Christmas Word Trio and created the bottom banner.

I decided to go flashy and bold by using red metallic cardstock with a white letter.

I added a bit of Stickles to the Christmas tree and created a pompom

 attachment for a final addition.

For the second tag I used a piece of emerald forest card stock.

using one of the word sentiments from the Christmas Coffees Stamp Set  stamped all over the cardstock.

I used the stitched Oval from the Oval Frames Die Set to cut

out this card stock and create the base for the tag.

I used the scalloped die from the Oval Frames Die Set as the tag front.

The stamped image is added that to the front of the tag with foam tape.

I stamped on my sentiment just below the image.

For final additions I added a bit of stickles and a matching ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Christmas Coffees Stamp Set + Coordinating Die Set

Newto's Nook Designs Lucky Release

Hello Everybody!

It is a delightful day here at Newton’s Nook Designs.

We have three fun new crafty goodies that are sure to get your paw’s Inky!

Shamrocks Hot Foil Plate

Newton’s Lucky Clover Stamp Set

Lucky Dog Stamp Set

First up the Shamrocks Hot Foil Plate.

I had a blast using this hot foil plate with

various kinds of foil and cardstock combinations.

My first foiling was gold shamrocks onto green cardstock.

This was my first pass on the new Hot foil Plate, so the shamrocks were not perfect.

I LOVED the look of the imperfection and embraced it by

creating a tag using the Fancy Edges Tag Die.

After the tag was die cut out, I inked the edges with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink.

I used the small, stitched oval from Oval Frames Die Set for the itty-bitty

stamped images from Newton’s Lucky Clover Stamp Set.

The white cardstock breaks up all the green and shows off the images.

I finished this tag with a hand cut sentiment banner and gold ribbon.

Speaking of Newton’s Lucky Clover Stamp Set, I decided to be bold.

With my Hot Foil Machine warmed up.

I was able to foil white shamrocks on to GOLD cardstock.

This is the background of my next card

I stamped and colored the images from Newton’s Lucky Clover Stamp Set.

I created a banner using the Banner Duo Die Set.

Once I got the banner level at the bottom of my card, I added on Newton

and extra shamrocks for good luck.

The gold front on this card is just bold and blingy and I just love it so much.

For my final card, I brought things back to Spring.

The doggy in the Lucky Dog Stamp Set is just so cute!

I used paper from the Spring Blooms Cardstock that was

die cut out with rounded edge stitched die from Frames and Flags Die Set.

I glued this to a matching green card base.

The scalloped circle die cut from the Circle Frames Die Set

in white cardstock breaks everything up and I as a

great spot for the doggy from Lucky Dog Stamp Set.

I did a bold thing by stamping my sentiment directly on the printed paper.

A couple of white gems complete this card.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the fun latest items that we have on this release.

The best part is that everything is available NOW!!

Newton's Holiday Release - Scandi Christmas

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Today we are featuring

Using this stamp set I came up with the following card and tag.

This is such a fun stamp set.

So many ways to use all the elements in the stamp set.

For the card I used Versamark ink and the long strip.

I just stamped my image on white cardstock and heat set with holographic embossing powder.

For the deer I chose winter colors and stamped the image on coordinating card stock.

I just love this stamp set and ended up stamping several colors of the dear

To see what would look best with the final card.

Using the Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plates

I created a simple banner using prism foil.

Assembly was easy.

I placed my background on a matching card base.

I layered my deer on top with foam tape.

Added on my banner.

For a final touch, I add a few sparkling stars.

For the tag.

Stared with the star from the stamp set and gold ink.

I stamped the star on white cardstock in a random pattern.

One the ink was dry; I die cut out with the

Fancy Edges Die.

A leftover deer from the card project was added on with foam tape.

I stamped on the sentiment.

I finished with a few pink gems and gold ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed my take on this fun stamp set.

Inky Paw's Challenge 200 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Succulent Garden

A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad

Frameworks Die Set

Bookmark Die Set (banner)

Fancy Edges Tag Die (bonus Project)

This idea came from a trip to home depot.

When you go into the succulent area, they always have those “colored” cactus.

I always thought that this would be a great idea for a card.

With Succulent Garden I can make this card happen.

For the card front I used green polka dotted paper from A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad.

A quick run through my die cutting machine with

the Frameworks Die Set and I have a card front for my succulent card.

I stamped A BUNCH of succulents.

A whole 5x6 sheet of them (that I forgot to take a picture of)

I used the same style and changed the color to match the challenge color.

Once everything was colored in and die cut out, I stared to mock things up on the front of my card.

But first, I need a sentiment.

I used the banner from the Bookmark Die Set

I stamped on my sentiment of choice and placed this on the card front first.

Next, I stater to layer everything around the banner

making sure to add some height with foam tape.

To finish this card, I created a simple card base to fit behind my card front.

I also added some green enamel dots to the front.

I was not quite done with this project just yet.

I had so many stamped succulents left to use.

I pulled out my tag stash drawer and rummage around for

a couple that matched the challenge colors.

I stamped sentiments on to the tags first.

Then layered the remaining succulents on the tags.

A few more enamel dots to the front and my second project were complete.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Make sure you share your projects by using the link in

the challenge picture above.
