white, Sea Glass card stock and Nested Circles Die by Simon Says Stamp.

I used watering can embossing powder by Ranger Ink and stamps

from the Beautiful Butterfly Stamp Set to create my sentiment.

This light pink design is from “Positively Peppy" by My Favorite Things

I adhered that to a card base made of Cotton Candy Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp

A final touch of Sequins by Simon Says Stamp and

some pink gems that I had in my stash by Studio Katia

That completes my take on ANYTHING GOES

Inky Paw's Challenge - Color Challenge

                  Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is a refresher.

MY take on the challenge is a simple one that uses up some of

the scrap paper we all have in abundance in our craft spaces.

I recently moved around a few things in my crafty space.

I use the ELFA system in my office and got a few extra slide-out baskets

to put my scrap paper and bits closer to my desk.

Best idea ever! Do not know why I did not do this sooner.

I went right to my scrap paper drawer, pulled out the challenge colors

and got to work creating a background for this card.

I cut a 1 ½ x 5 ½ strip of paper out of each one of the colors.

I took those strips and glued them to a piece of plain white cardstock.

I taped the Tumbling Hearts Stencil over the top of the strips of paper

and a applied a good amount of clear Versamark ink over the top.

I heat set the Versamark with clear embossing powder,

and sat back to admire all the cute hearts.

The Large Scalloped rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set is

what I die cut my stripped background from.

My featured stamp is Roses by Newtons Nook Designs.

I made the bold choice of keeping the rose white

with just a bit of gray highlights and green leaves.

I used a sentiment that is part of the Roses Stamp Set.

I stamped the sentiment onto a banner that was created with the Banner Trio Dies.

For a final touch, I added some shimmer to the rose with a Spectrum Noir shimmer pen.

Now it is your turn!

Make Your Own Backround - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Here at the
This week it time to Make Your Own Background
Featuring Products by Brutus Monroe

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

I chose to use the Hoiden Stencil by Brutus Monroe for my card.

I inked up my stencil with a combo of Faded Jeans.

and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink onto#120-pound white cardstock.

I just love the large open space that this stencil has with a unique round design.

After the ink dried, grabbed a mini mister with a little bit of water

 and Confetti White Perfect Pearls.

A quick spritz on top gave the front of this card some pretty sheen.

I attached my card to a card base made from Soft Navy Cardstock.

Next, I die cut out the Sending Smiles die out of

Lipstick Red and White cardstock by Simon Says Stamp

The sentiment comes from the Just Miss You Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp.

A finishing touch of Christmas Red Stickles on the heart completes this card.

That completes my take on Make Your Own Background.

I almost forgot the good news!

The Candy Heart Stamp Set is perfect for the challenge colors.

With the challenge colors being a natural for the candy hearts,

Layer It Up - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Here at the
This week it time to LAYER IT UP

Featuring Products by KITCHEN SINK STAMPS

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

I decided to layer up stamps and stencils.

I started with the base of #120 white Simon Says Stamp Cardstock.

There is going to be a lot of ink on this paper, so this base had to be sturdy.

Layer One

Paver Blocks Stencil by Simon Says Stamp and Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

Layer Two

The LOVE stamp from the Love Greetings Mix by Simon Says Stamp

and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink.

Layer Three

A heart element from the same stamp set with Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Ink.

To complete my card, I stamped my sentiment onto #120 white Card Stock.

Using Versamark Ink and Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder I heat set my sentiment.

When my sentiment had cooled, I went into my die stash and

grabbed my favorite Sizzix heart die.

I propped my heart onto some foam and added it to the front of my card.

Some sparkle with super cute Pink Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh completed my card.

That completes my take on LAYER IT UP

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge - Inky Paws Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is a refresher.

Here is my take on the challenge!

When I first saw this theme, I thought of fun in the snow.

NEWTON’S TOBOGGAN is the perfect stamp set for this.

I stared with a background of created with the

FRAMES SQUARED DIE SET and some Doll Pink Cardstock.

On top of the base, I added pink snowflake cardstock that I has in my stash.

To create the “snow” I used the LAND BORDERS DIE SET.

I intentionaly kept the bottom of the card flat.

I just liked the look of the square bottom and the round top.

I stamped my image from the NEWTON’S TOBOGGAN STAMP SET

I chose soft wintery pastel color to color in my image.

For final touches, I used the same doll pink cardstock and a flag

from the FRAMES AND FLAGS DIE SET.

I also stamped a couple of snow flakes and added those to the front of the card.

That completes my take on the second half of the challenge.
