Inky Paw's Challenge 166 - Heart Theme

HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge?

Here is my take on the challenge!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love Bots Stamp Set

A7 Frames and Banner Die

Petite Hearts Stencil

The idea for this card all stared with the robot cats in the Love Bot Stamp Set.

I stamped and colored a bunch of these cats.

This blue and red cat stood out among the bunch.

This desided color story for this card.

Using the Frame in the A7 die, I die cut out card stock in blue, red and white.

Since this die is a frame, I had to create a card base with white card stock first.

The frame is larger than most, a 12x12 sheet of paper is necessary

I started by attaching down the red frame, and the center white panel.

Before gluing in the blue panels, I used the Petite Hearts Stencil

and Salvage Patina Distress Ink to stencil on hearts.

Once all the frame panels are glued in, I went back to my selection of colorful cats,

chose a couple and attached all the cats to the front of the card.

To finish my card, I added a sentiment and Digi hearts to the front of the card.

Inky Paw's Challenge 165 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love Quarry Stamp Set

Circle Frames Die

Tumbling Hearts Stencil

Frames and Flags Die Set

Kraft cardstock is one of my favorites to use on cards.

Now that there is Distress Oxide Ink, it is so easy to add color on top of that cardstock.

Barn Door Distress Oxide is my color of choice.

The Tumbling Hearts Stencil is going to make this card so cute!

I inked up my background and placed it aside to dry and turned my attention to the rest of the card.

I die cut my center from the Circle Frames Dies.

For the white circle, I used the Tumbling Hearts Stencil and my embossing pad

for the die cut machine to emboss the hearts on the paper.

Next, I stamped and colored images from the Love Quarry Stamp Set.

With all my components ready to go, I stared to assemble the card.

First, I burnished off a bit of the embossed circle to add my sentiment.

This circle is layered onto the black circle and a banner created from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

To finish my card, I cut down my background of hearts and glued it to a card base.

I added my center circle and safety cones, and my card is done.

That completes my take on this challenge.

Now it is your turn!

Four Legged Friends - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Four Legged Friends

Featuring stamps and dies by

PENNY BLACK

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My Crafty Item of choice for this challenge is:

Heart Hedgies Clear Stamp Set

So excited to share all the fun elements on this card with you.

I started this card by stamping and coloring in the Hedgehog.

I make use of all my favorite bold colors to coloring the image.

I also stamped and colored the flower with the hearts.

Since the hedgehog is so brightly colored, I thought that a CAS card base would work best.

A simple old school layered card front created with

the Stitched Rectangles Dies by Simon Says Stamp .

A white card stock layer with the sentiment stamped on glued to a green apple layer of card stock.

This was glued on top of orange striped paper in the back to add some interest.

Once all the cardstock was layered up, I fussy cut the hedgehog and

added the image to the front with foam tape.

I also fussy cut the flowers and added those to the front.

To finish my card, I got out my gel pens and added extra color to the red heats on my card.

I adhered my card front to a card base and this card was ready to go!

This completes my take on Four Legged Friends

Featuring PENNY BLACK

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 165 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love Emergency

Main Street Christmas

Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad

Darling Hearts Die

For this card I knew that I wanted to use the Love Emergency Stamp Set.

The ambulance caught my eye and put an idea in my head.

but …. how to put it together.

In my head I envisioned the Main Street Christmas as the background.

This is where I started, by stamping and coloring in the stamp.

When I finished the background was just too much color…? Yea I said that.

Not the idea I had in my head.

I die cut out another rectangle and stamped on the image again.

That when it hit me, this background needs NO COLOR.

With that scandalous idea the card came together.

I used a zigzag patterned paper from Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad to create a card front.

(Love to reuse holiday stamps and paper for other parts of the year).

I piece of black cardstock to make the white background pop.

On top of that I added on the ambulance with foam tape and the trail of hearts.

I stamped out my sentiment and heat set with white embossing powder.

With a few snips of the scissors, I created a banner.

To finish my card, I die cut out red hearts from the Darling Hearts Die

and tucked those behind the background.

A bit of Stickles and glitter pen added some up-close accents to the card.

That completes my take on this challenge.

 Now it is your turn!
