Inky Paw's Challenge 192 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Lovely Blooms (on sale now)

Heartfelt Essentials

A7 Frames and Banners Die Set

Springtime 6x6 Paper Pad

This card starts with the making of the jar from Lovely Blooms.

I stamped the jar first on regular white cardstock.

Then I stamped the jar again with Archival Ink onto clear craft plastic.

I ran both stamped items thru the die cut machine.

Next, I glue the two pieces together on three sides (not the top)

with Fabri-Tac to create a see-thru jar for my flowers.

Next, I stamped out all the flowers and stems that I thought that I would use for this card.

Once everything is colored and die cut, I started the assembly of my card.

The first thing I did was to chose my paper from the Springtime 6x6 Paper Pad.

I just love this colorful plaid for the outside of my A7 Frames frame.

For the inside panels of the frame, I just went with white cardstock.

I adhered both parts of the panel to the front of a card base.

I also assembled the flowers for the jar that I placed in the first frame of the panel.

Next, I stamped my sentiment form the Heartfelt Essentials Stamp Set onto my banner.

I balanced my banner next to the jar and glued that on with foam tape.

Using all the flowers that I created earlier, I stated to place them in a

Pattern across the bottom, and then started to attach them to the card.

For a final step, I added on some matching blue gems.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 192 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Sky High Celebrations

A7 Frame and Banners Die

Oval Frames Die Set

Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad

For my take on the challenge, I started this idea with two ideas, birthday, and color.

Given the shape of the challenge sketch, I knew that

using the A7 Frame and Banners Die was necessary.

I die cut the 3-window box shape out of white cardstock.

I die cut several layers to stack together to create a nice solid card front.

For the insets of the windows, I picked 3 colors of present paper from the

Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad.

I assembled all the pieces of my card front together and set it aside for the glue to dry.

For the next step I stamped out the image from Sky High Celebrations.

I colored in my image and die cut it out.

I also die cut out the smaller scalloped oval from Oval Frames Die Set,

and added a sentiment to it.

To start my card assembly, I created a custom card base for my front.

Before I attached the two together, I tied on a bit of matching twine to the bottom.

After attaching the card front to the base, I adhered my scalloped oval,

and then added my stamped image over that.

For finishing touched I added on stickles for a bit of bling.

Also, added three enamel dots.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 191 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Dainty Daisies

Basketweave Stencil

Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad

For this challenge I stared with a basic tag shape from my stash.

I used 110lb white cardstock for my tag.

Heavy weight cardstock is necessity for the embossing with a stencil.

For this next step I grabbed my Basketweave Stencil.

I lined up my stencil on my tag and taped the stencil down.

I ran my stencil and paper thru my die cutting machine.

with my embossing plate and Vola! A beautifully embossed tag.

Next, I rummaged thru my Newton’s paper and found a leftover square.

of gray paper with white hearts from Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad.

I added that to the front of the tag with glue.

My stamped image of choice is Dainty Daisies

Who does not love yellow daisies!

After I colored in the daisies and die cut them out, I added.

them to the front of the tag with foam tape.

The final step is to create a banner with red cardstock.

I stamped on a sentiment and embossed with white cardstock.

I also added on some white droplets to match the center of the daisy.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.
