I also used a few items from my stash.

With Halloween right around the corner, why not create one more Halloween card.

This one features the Frightful Gift Clear Stamp by Stampendous.

I love a shaped card, so I decided to use my

Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Dies and

Simon Says Stamp Black Black8 cardstock for the base of this card.

I used the Creepy Confections 6x6 paper by My Favorite Things and

the Circle Frames Die by Newton’s Nook Designs to create background color.

When stamping out my images I realized I needed

a bit longer arms on my monsters then the stamp set provided,

so, I extended out the arms a bit with a black Sharpie.

I colored my images in using Spectrum Noir Classique Markers

Finally, I stamped my sentiment and added everything to the front of the card base.

That completes my take on ANYTHING GOES

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paws Challenge - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

It is time for a sketch challenge!

Using the challenge sketch, I came up with this card.

Halloween is right around the corner.

Perfect time to use my Newton’s Costume Party Stamp Set.

No Halloween Colors for this card.

Bold Pastels from my collection of Spectrum Noir Classique Markers

makes this card stand out.

I decided to use black on this card as much as I could to make the colors pop.

The base of this card is made from the Large Scalloped Rectangle

from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

The stripes on my card were created by cutting ½ inch strips of paper

and coloring them in with the same marker colors that I used in my Trick or Treaters.

The sentiment circle is part of the

Circle Frames Die.

When I started this card, I was not sure where it was going,

but I do LOVE how this card turned out.

I hope this card inspire you to use your favorite Newton’s Nook Stamps

along with the sketch and GET CRAFTY!

Layer It Up - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Here at the
This week it is time to LAYER IT UP!

Featuring Products by PAPER ROSE.

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash,

we would LOVE to see them used.

Here are the product I used for this challenge.

I also used a few items from my stash.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I was drawn to this paper pack by the amazing colors that it contains.

The paper pack also contains some pretty flowers,

butterflies and bits that you can fussy cut.

I love striped paper and I thought that would be the perfect base

for my card.  I die cut this paper out using the Large Scalloped Rectangle

that come in the Frames and Flags Die Set by Newton’s Nook Designs.

Next, I chose the large wispy wreath, some flowers, and butterflies

 and fussy cut everything out.

I placed all my items on my card base and kept adding

and taking away until I liked what I saw.

Once I finalized the design, I started to adhere

all my items to the front of my card with foam tape.

Lots of layers on this card!

For a final touch, I used the lilac paper in the paper pack and attached

it to a pre made white card as a background for my card base.

I also added a bit of sparkle using Studio Katia Majestic Confetti Sequins.

I am in love with the way this card came out!

I forgot how much fun fussy cutting could be!

That completes my take on LAYER IT UP!

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paws Challenge - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Check out these challenge colors!

Using the Ghost Stencil and the challenge colors I came up with this slimline card.

I started my card by picking Distress Ink that best matched the challenge colors.

Using the Ghost Stencil, I just stared inking in the ghosts from light to dark.

I kept blending in color till I got an even amount of the challenge

color and a slight blend between each color.

It did take me a few tries to get the color mix I was looking for,

be patient when blending, you will get there.

Next, I turned my attention to the base of the card.

I used the Large scalloped slimline frame from

the Slimline Frame and Portholes Die Set.

I wanted the ghosts to stand out, so I decides to use black for most of the card.

Using the Land Boarders Die Set I created a front plate for my sentiment.

My sentiment is part of the Halloween Trio Die Set as well as the bats

that I added on to create some depth on the card.

I hope this card inspire you to use your favorite Newton’s Nook Stamps

along with the sketch and GET CRAFTY!

Make a Card and Envelope - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Here at the
This week it is time to MAKE A CARD AND AN ENVELOPE

Featuring Product by our very own SIMON SAYS STAMP

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash,

we would LOVE to see them used.

Here are the products I used for this challenge.

The Simon Stays Stamp October Card Kit Featured stamp

Happy Fall Y’all

Here is MY card and Envelope

So, went to my “go to” favorite crafty items to create this card.

The Memory Box Rectangle Basic Set Dies

and

Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles.

These dies created the base for my card along with

Simon Says Stamp Banana Yellow Card Stock

and

Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate Card Stock

I added some hidden detail using the leave stamp from

Happy Fall Y’all Stamp on to the Dark Chocolate card stock.

It did not show up well on camera, but it did add some cute in person detail.

Next, I stamped and colored my chosen images from the

Happy Fall Y’all stamp

Dies are not available for this set, so I had to fussy cut.

Please excuse my wonky edges.

I used the Simon Stamp Nested Oval Wafer Dies

For the background of my fussy cut images.

Now to the envelope.

a piece of the Simon Says Stamp Banana Yellow Card Stock.

I stamp my pre-assembled envelope with stamps from the

Happy Fall Y’all Stamp and Ground Expresso Distress Ink.

I also used Versamark Ink to match the shadow leaf on my envelope

And that completes my take on CARD AND ENVELOPE.

I almost forgot the good news!
