Inky Paw's Challenge 195 - Sketch Challenge

 Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

 Baa Stamp Set

NEW Spring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad

Land Boarders Die

Speech Bubble Dies

For the second half of this challenge, I decided on classic spring colors.

I chose the yellow and pink printed flower paper from the Spring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad.

For the long rectangles I used a 1 ¼ x 3 strips of paper.

For the squares I used 2 ¼ x 3 squares.

I laid the strips and the squares on to purple cardstock, to look like the challenge sketch.

I left a gap between the pieces to show the cardstock underneath.

After gluing everything down, I trimmed around the pieces.

and created a card front that is 3 ½ x 6 ½.

Next, I stamped, colored, and die cut my sheep from the Baa Stamp Set.

I also die cut out “grass” from the Land Boarders Die and green cardstock.

I placed my die cut pieces on the larger squares.

I added the sheep to the front with foam tape.

To create a place for my sentiment, I used the Speech Bubble Dies.

Once the sentiment was added to the front of my card, I finished this

project up by creating a custom card base.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 194 - Color Chalenge

 Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

 Lovable Llamas

Hills and Grass Stencil

Circle Frames Die Set

Land Boarders Die

To start this card, I decided that the card base would be created from

the scalloped circle in the Circle Frames DieSet.

I used lilac cardstock to match the challenge colors.

The inner circle is a nesting circle from my die stash that fit just perfect.

I cut two of the nesting circles out. For one of the circles,

I used the Land Boarders Die and secured it on the bottom quarter

of the circle with tape and ran this thru my die cutting machine.

I inked on Twisted Citron Distress Ink to turn the die cut green, and then using the

Hills and Grass Stencil I inked on some “grass” using a darker color of Distress Ink.

The other nesting circle I splatted with Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

I also stamped on a sentiment and placed this circle aside to dry.

I stamped, colored, and die cut my pieces from Lovable Llamas.

To start the assembly of my card, I added the splatted nesting circle to the card base.

Next, I lined up my grassy area at the bottom.

I added foam tape to the back of all the images and positioned my stamped images.

on to my card front one by one checking the placement.

For a final touch, I used some Stickles to add shimmer to the front of the card.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 190 - Love Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love Bots

Circle Frames Die Set

Land Boarders Die Set

Love Café (sentiment)

Pumpkin Latte (coffee cup)

 Hello everyone!

I stared my card for this challenge by creating a base made of the

Scalloped edge from the Circle Frames Die Set.

For this next part, I cheated a bit.

I went into my die stash and found a nesting circle die that just fit over the scalloped circle.

This die will be the base for my card front that I die cut out of blue card stock.

To create the grass in the background, I used the Land Boarders Die Set with green cardstock.

Once the grass was die cut out, I used the nesting circle die that I used

for my card front to make a nice even circle card front.

I glued my sky and grass together and competed my card front.

The next thing I did was to stamp, color, and die cut out the robots from Love Bots.

I add some shimmer with gel pens and placed the robots aside to dry.

I had to go looking thru my Newton stamps to find a coffee cup that would work for my idea.

I settled on the cup from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.

I also found the sentiment from Love Café.

A perfect match for my card.

The robots were added to my card with foam tape. Then the coffee cup.

I stamped my sentiment and created a simple banner around

the sentiment that I attached to my card front.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.
