It's Your Day IPC 71

Hello and Welcome to a

NEW Inky Paws Challenge.

This time around we have a lovely selection of colors
for you to get your paws Inky with!

My inspiration came from the “Love Blooms “Stamp Set.

It's Your Day a card by Diane Morales | Lovely Blooms Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

This set is perfect for this color challenge.
The flowers are fun and playful, and a great size to color.
I chose to go in a more clean and simple style.
Using leaves as a background, and the challenge colors on the flowers.
I love dimension, and a few dots of foam tape under the flowers is a must!

I added on a sentiment that come from the “Birthday Essentials” Stamp Set.

White Nuvo drops accent the center of the flowers.

Now it is your turn.
Use the challenge picture above to show us how you get your paws Inky.

Thanks for stopping by.

Meow and fur-ever IPC 70

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge!
Currently featuring a sketch challenge.

I decided to use elements in the sketch as the elements for my card,
and turn the sketch sidways!
Since we are currently under a state of construction
here at my house, anything wood related is kind of on my mind.

Meow and fur-ever a card by Diane Morales | Newton's Sweetheart Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I went into my stash of paper and found
this super cute wood replica paper with the hearts on it to use as my card base.
I am quite fond of the Newton’s Sweetheart Stamp Set
I choose to use that as the feature point of my card.
Using two of the sentiments from the Newton Sweetheart Stamp Set,
as the top and bottom elements stamping them directly on my patterned paper.
Rummaging around YouTube one evening,
I found this video on how to use your stencils for embossing.
I gave that a try using the Tumbling Heart Stencil.
This became the background behind the kitties.
The result was good for the first time, but I need to work with it more later.

I colored in my kitties with my paper choice in mind and popped them up using foam tape.
I assembled everything into a card base and added on some wood dots as side elements.

Now it is your turn!

Just MY Jam IPC 70

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge
Check out the sketch we have for you!

I've been wanting to do something cute with the Love Bite Stamp Set.
ALSO, who doesn’t need a quick and easy card.
The sketch gives me gives me the perfect opportunity.

Just MY Jam a card by Diane Morales | Love Bites Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I started by die cutting out three squares.
For the for the top of the three squares,
I stamped out the jam jars and colored them in with Distressed Ink.
I also stamped and die cut out my toast and color that in.

Once everything was dry, I attached my squares to the top of my card base.
Then attached my jam jars on top of that with foam tape.
I took a risk and stamp my sentiment in next which,
I probably should have done first!
I then attached the top of my card to my colored cardstock base.
I added the toast to the front with some foam tape.
For last minute inspiration, I stamp the heart on and added in color.

A simple card for a great sketch!

Time to get your PAWS INKY!
Show us what you can do with this sketch!

Use the link in the sketch picture above.
As always, links to the goodies are below.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have an amazing week.

We've Moved !

Hey Everyone!

A quick little post for the current LawnFawnatics Challenge.

Since I'm going to be moving soon. It was natural for me to combine these two sets.
Given half the chance, I would find a spaceship pack my stuff up and transport it like this!

We've moved ! a card by Diane Morales | Lawn Fawn Stamp Sets

For this challenge I created for cards using the
“Beam Me Up Stamp Set” and the “Happy Village” Stamp set.
One of the awesome things about Lawn Fawn Stamps is that they take
the time to do to do the logistics on their stamp sets.
Everything fits inside of everything else so mixing and matching things is so much easier!

This also makes for some very cute cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

Off to bed to rest this knee!
Hope you have a lovely week

Celebrate! IPC 69

We are halfway through the current Inky Paws Challenge.

It is all about the BIRTHDAY!

When I need inspiration I usually like to walk around a craft store.
I was just taking a casual stroll through Jo-Ann’s and I came across these treat bags.

That when the idea for my inspiration fell into place.

Holding Happiness Stamp Set was perfect for these bags!
This stamp Set is super fun and invites lots of color.
I chose my three favorite colors of the bags and matched a stamp set to each one.
Next, I stamped all my images out and picked coordinating ink colors to match the bags.

For the tag portion of the bag I grabbed the
Tags Two Times Die Set, and I cut out three tags.
Using the Uplifting Wishes Stamp Set, I stamped my sentiment
on the tags and colored it in with coordinating colors.
The tags were attached to the bag with some colored Twine from my stash.
Also, some dimension from Nuvo drops and I was set.

All this inspired by a walk thru the craft store!

Now it is your turn, use the link in the inspiration photo
above to show us you get your Paws Inky!
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Wednesday Challenge !

Happy 9th Birthday Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

I've been playing along for 3 years.
I LOVE the Wednesday challenge because it has pushed me as a card designer.
In the beginning, my cards, not so good.
But now!

Deep down in my core I have a clean and simple style.
This card channels this.
Using the Even More Spring Flowers Stamp set and Die and COLOR!
I LOVE COLOR! These flowers were water colored in using Distress Ink.
Lots of shading to make them pop!
The curved edge is courtesy of the A2 Card Curved Edge Die .
On top of the flowers, I have English Mustard Nuvo Drops for dimension.

Over the years this crafty life has taught me a few things that have helped me to grow.
The first, art IS subjective. This is a mighty fancy word for art it is how you see it.
My style may not be your style. And that's okay!  You do you!
Second, trust your inner self.  She (or he) is an artist that is bursting to come out!
Third, HAVE FUN!  Just let things flow. All projects are not going to end up in success.
The ones that don’t, learn from the mistake and move on.
The best things that I've created is because I just let my mind wander
and let my inner self do the work.
Share your projects with people. Send a card to someone you haven't seen in awhile.
If you see a post that’s appeals to you, like it!  Send a comment to the maker.

The amount of talent out there is incredible!
I am always humbled to be a part of this little card making community.
So, for the many years of inspiration I say THANK YOU
to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Because of you I have turned procraftinating into an Olympic Sport!
And a huge Happy Birthday and many more!

Tons of hugs

DIANE

Cheers to You IPC 69

Welcome to a NEW
Inky Paw’s Challenge.

Our new challenge is all about creating something fun for BIRTHDAY

Cheers to You a card by Diane Morales | Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

The idea for this for this card came a while ago when
the Love Bites Stamp Set arrived at my door.
It just seems natural to put the Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set together with it.
But, I was not sure how.
It wasn't until recently one night, the concept came while I was falling asleep.
“I thought WOW! that would be a good idea for a card,
I hope I remember this in the morning”.
The best part of this card is that it all came from pieces of scrap.
Yes! that scrape pile we all have of elements that we did not use on other cards
that we do not want to throw away because THEY might be useful later.
Scrap pile today is your day!

Starting with the green background that came from the Land Border Die Set
This was left over from the egg project I just did for the last challenge.
The “cheers” is from the Cocktail Die Set left over
from Christmas project that turned into a disaster.
The “olives” and “Martini” came from a project I did a while ago.
I always stamp extras just in case I mess up.
Even the blue circle was leftover scrap I had sitting in my die cut scrap box.
Luckily for me, I remembered how I envisioned the card when I went to sleep.
I just added all the elements on as I remember them.
I have not done a graphic die-cut card in a while and it felt good!
I surprised myself!

Now it is YOUR TURN.
Dig deep into the scrap pile, grab some elements,
and show us how you get your PAWS INKY.
As always, links to the stamps are below.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by.
