Anything Goes - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

ANYTHING GOES

Featuring stamps and dies by

HERO ARTS

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My Crafty Item of choice for this challenge is:

Strawberry Line Art by Hero Arts

So excited to share all the fun elements on this card with you.

I started this card by creating a circle with a pencil and a Helix Circle Ruler.

I stamped the strawberries along the pencil line to stay within the curve of the circle.

Once everything was stamped and colored, I fussy cut out the strawberries.

Then, I pieced together the card to make sure the color

of the cardstock and the strawberries were OK together.

Using regular white card stock and my circle dies I created a card base.

I also die cut out a circle for my sentiment and a circle

out of the printed card stock to create the front of the card.

I glued down my printed paper to the card base and started to add all the elements.

First a sentiment was stamped on, and then the circle sentiment was added to the front of the card.

Next, come the strawberries added to the front of the card with foam tape.

For a final touch I stamped on some hearts to send extra love.

Also added on some details on the flowers with white gel pen and Nuvo Drops.

This completes my take on ANYTHING GOES

Inky Paw's Challenge 167 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge colors!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Orchids Stamp Set

A7 Frames and Banner Die

Sea Boarders Die Set

Frameworks Die Set

Heartfelt Roses Stamp Set (sentiment)

Here is my take on the challenge.

Loving this NEW A7 Die Set, the large size makes for some great cards.

I used three of the challenge colors and die cut strips of card stock 2 ¼ inch wide.

Using the Sea Boarders Die Set, I die cut the pieces to fit together like a puzzle.

This is glued down to card base made with the A7 Frames and Banner Die.

Next, I turned my attention to the orchids.

I stamped and die cut out 2 pieces and added some color the center and the stems.

The last component is the frame die cut from the Frameworks Die Set.

This is cut three times out of white card stock, glued together, and covered in Moon Dust Stickles.

The card base was now dry, so I was able to stamp the sentiment on the card.

To make the sentiment stand out I used white embossing powder.

Then, I layered on my open frame.

The orchids are next. I used foam tape to pop up the front flower.

Some giant pearls finished this card.

That completes my take on this challenge.

Slimline Card - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Slimline Card

Featuring stamps and dies by

Whimsy Stamps

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My Crafty Item of choice for this challenge is:

Sweet Tiles Desserts Clear Stamp Set

So excited to share all the fun elements on this card with you.

I had a ton of fun creating this card and I used no dies on the card!

A simple cut, stamp and assemble card.

I started out by cutting out a 1 ¾ x 6-inch panel out of white card stock.

How I determined this is my measuring the stamps, which are 1 ½ high and wide.

Four desserts are going to be in the panel, so it should work.

On this panel I stamped the placement that I wanted for my desserts.

Next, on a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped and colored my desserts of choice.

I also covered my desserts with glossy accents and set them aside to dry.

To create the base of my card 7x7 piece of black cardstock.

Folded in half the 3 ½ size of the card front should be enough for my panel and sentiment.

To make sure the size was right, I added my white panel to the front of the card.

I stamp the word “dessert” first on the front and embossed with white embossing powder.

Elements from the “So Much Love” stamp set were stamped and embossed next.

To finish my card, I fussy cut out the goodies I created.

I attached them to their pre-stamped spots with foam tape.

I added some flair using my favorite white gems and I was done!

This completes my take on Slimline Card

Inky Paw's Challenge 167 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge colors!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Heartfelt Roses Stamp Set

Heart Frames Die

Frames and Flags Die Set

Petite Heart Stencil

To start the front for this card I used the large scallop from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Once the shape was die cut out, I used the Petite Hearts Stencil and

the embossing mat that works for my die cut machine

and I pressed the Petite Hearts Stencil into white card stock.

It is IMPORTANT to check to recommendations for the die cut machine that you own

on how to do this technique, so you do not damage the stencil or your machine.

Also, it helps to use 80lbs or higher card stock to get a good impression.

Next, I stamped and colored the heart from the Heartfelt Roses Stamp Set

This heart is die cut out using the Heart Frames Die.

To assemble the card, I started by first die cut out banners using the challenge colors.

These colored banners are glued to the back of the heart in ascending order.

At this moment I remembered that I forgot to stamp on the sentiment.

Holding my breath, I very carefully stamped on the green banner.

To finish this card up, I create a card base and attached my embossed panel to this base.

I popped up my heart and banners with foam tape and attached that to the card.

To finish everything off, I added on gold hearts for a bit of bling.

Emboss It - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Emboss It

Featuring stamps and dies by

Simon Says Stamp

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My Crafty Items of choice for this challenge is:

Tumbling Hearts Stencil

Heart Slider Die

Love You Die

So excited to share all the fun elements on this card with you.

I have two kinds of embossing on my card.

Using the Tumbling Hearts Stencil and the embossing mat that works for my die cut machine,

I pressed the Tumbling Hearts stencil into white card stock.

It is IMPORTANT to check to recommendations for your particular

die cut machine on how to do this technique, so you do not damage the stencil or your machine.

Also, it helps to use 80lbs or higher card stock to get a good impression.

Next the hearts.

I started by smearing Versamark on the colored cardstock that I wanted to use.

Next, I covered the Versamark with matching embossing powder.

Once this was heat set, I die cut with the Heart Slider Die.

I only used the off cut for this card.

Assembling the card was quick easy.

For that final touch I die cut and added on the fabulous “love you” die.

This completes my take on Emboss It
