Inky Paw's Challenge 201 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Birdhouse Greetings

Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad

Oval Frames Die Set

Spring Blooms Oval (sentiment)

Super fun and easy card coming to you today for the Inky Paw’s Challenge.

I stared with a card base of 4 x 5 ½ blue cardstock

And a rectangle 3 ½ x 4 ½ made with the same blue cardstock.

To the bottom of the card base I added a ¾ inch strip of the

blue balloons from the Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad.

To the bottom of the rectangle, I added a 1-inch strip of birthday paper

and a 1/2 strip of confetti cardstock also from the Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad.

I adhered the rectangle to the front of the card and placed

a stamp block on top so that Everything would dry flat.

Next, I die cut my oval out of white cardstock and the Oval Frames Die Set.

This is attached to the front of the card.

I stamped, colored and die cut my images from Birdhouse Greetings.

I stated the placement on the front of my card with the birdhouse first.

Attaching it to my card with foam tape.

My sentiment from Spring Blooms Oval  came next.

Then, I added a few more birds and a bit of grass

I am not good at twine, so I created a bow and added that to the left side of the birdhouse.

I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 200 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Dainty Daisies

A7 Frames and Banner Die Set

Bright Sentiments Hot Foil Plates

Banner Duo Die Set

This is kind of a literal translation of the challenge picture.

To start this card, I used the A7 Frames and Banner Die Set.

I die cut a piece of bright green and a grass green card stock from the large scalloped edge die.

Next, using heavy weight white cardstock I created a 4x6 card base.

I glued the frame die to the front of the card, leaving some

white space around the edge, and then glued in the inserts.

I placed a stamp block on top to make sure that everything dried flat.

To create the flowers, I stamped and colored the daisies

from Dainty Daisies, using the rest of the challenge colors as a guide.

Once the daisies were die cut out, I added them to the front of the card with foam tape.

A bright bold card like this needed a special sentiment.

I used the Bright Sentiments Hot Foil Plates and gold foil.

I die cut this banner with Banner Duo Die Set

The banner is glued to the front of the card with foam tape.

To finish my card, I added dots from my gel -pens to add some dimension to my daisies.

I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 200 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Succulent Garden

A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad

Frameworks Die Set

Bookmark Die Set (banner)

Fancy Edges Tag Die (bonus Project)

This idea came from a trip to home depot.

When you go into the succulent area, they always have those “colored” cactus.

I always thought that this would be a great idea for a card.

With Succulent Garden I can make this card happen.

For the card front I used green polka dotted paper from A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad.

A quick run through my die cutting machine with

the Frameworks Die Set and I have a card front for my succulent card.

I stamped A BUNCH of succulents.

A whole 5x6 sheet of them (that I forgot to take a picture of)

I used the same style and changed the color to match the challenge color.

Once everything was colored in and die cut out, I stared to mock things up on the front of my card.

But first, I need a sentiment.

I used the banner from the Bookmark Die Set

I stamped on my sentiment of choice and placed this on the card front first.

Next, I stater to layer everything around the banner

making sure to add some height with foam tape.

To finish this card, I created a simple card base to fit behind my card front.

I also added some green enamel dots to the front.

I was not quite done with this project just yet.

I had so many stamped succulents left to use.

I pulled out my tag stash drawer and rummage around for

a couple that matched the challenge colors.

I stamped sentiments on to the tags first.

Then layered the remaining succulents on the tags.

A few more enamel dots to the front and my second project were complete.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.
