Newton's Nook Designs December Release - Day 3

Hello Everybody!

It is the final Day of our New Release!

For this day we have TWO amazing new stamp sets!

Newton’s & Puppy’s Cookie Jar Stamp Sets

+ Coordinating Die Sets

Both stamps are beyond cute!

For Newton’s Cookie Jar I decided on a shape card.

The card base was die cut out using the scalloped Hexagon Frames Die and red card stock.

For the card front I used the red hearts paper from the Lovely Hearts Paper Pad.

I assembled my card together and used the smaller

scalloped hexagon from Hexagon Frames Die for the background behind my image.

I stamped, colored and die cut my image from Newton’s Cookie Jar

The sentiments that are included with Newton’s Cookie Jar

to fit perfectly on the front of the cookie jar.

Once everything was ready, I added my image to the front of my card with foam tape.

I also added plenty of cookies because who does not like cookies!

For Puppy’s Cookie Jar

I started with a tag that was created with craft cardstock

and the tiny beige hearts from Lovely Hearts Paper Pad.

I use the Bookmark Die Set to cut out these two pieces of card stock.

Next, I stamped colored and die cut out my images from Puppy’s Cookie Jar

I assembled my bookmark and then added the small, scalloped heart from Heart Frames Die Set

Then I added my images on to the front of my tag using foam tape.

A few extra cookies at the bottom and a bit of ribbon at the top completed this fun tag.

Hope you enjoyed my take on these fun new products!

Newton's Nook Designs Fall & Halloween - Day 2

Hello Everybody!

It is day TWO of our NEW Release!

Super excited to share this fun versatile stamp.

Spooky Stories Stamp Set

Using this stamp set I created this bookmark.

My stencil of choice is the  Argyle Stencil Set

I do not use my stencils enough, and this would be a wonderful way to get practice in.

I chose teal blue cardstock for my base color.

I used Stormy Sky Distressed Ink and Salvage Patina Oxide.

It was about this time that I was starting to feel the effects of the flu.

Because of this, unfortunately I have no pictures of this process.

I do know that I love the way this background came out.

To cut out my shape I chose the Bookmark Die Set.

I placed the bookmark aside and I started working on my stamps.

I stamped out the bats from Spooky Stories Stamp Set.

In my mind I thought how it would be different to have a blue moon so, I did just that!

I used alcohol markers to color in my moon and then I added on a layer of

glitter pen let that dry, and then a layer of Stardust stickles.

Of course, all of this must dry before you can die cut your image out.

But let us check out that die cut, I love the way it cuts into all the nooks and crannies.

This gives the stamp set so much dimension.

I added my bats on to the front of my bookmark with foam tape.

Next using the banner that comes in the Bookmark Die Set

I created a banner that comes up from the bottom of the tag.

I also added a couple extra bats and three gems to make things interesting!

That concludes my take on the Spooky Stories Stamp Set

I hope you enjoyed my take on the fun and unique stamp set.

This and all the other fun latest items are available Friday, September 13th

Franken-Newton Bookmark

Happy September!

This year flew by so fast!

It is time for my favorite time of year.

Halloweenthanksmas!

To start things off I have a cute bookmark/tag

For this project I used

Franken-Newton Stamp Set

Spiderweb Oval

Frames and Flags Die Set

BookmarkDie Set

To start off this project I die cut my bookmark out of basic white card stock

using the Bookmark Die Set.

To make sure that the tag was nice and sturdy, I used 120 LB card stock.

I love it when I get an idea on how to repurpose a stamp set.

The spider webs on the Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set are such a classic shape.

Using an old school technique grabbed A roll of blue tape.

I masked off a section of spider web that I wanted to use with the blue tape.

Stamp everything with your chosen ink and then remove the blue tape.

You can then stamp the image that you chose onto your project.

I repeated this technique three more times to create spider webs on the top and bottom of my tag.

Next, I stamped out the images that I wanted to use from Franken-Newton Stamp Set

Coloring in my images using my favorite colors of Copic markers

I also stamped out three of the hearts and colored those in as well.

Assembling the rest of this project was easy.

I was going to use the flag in the Bookmark Die Set, but decided it

was too large and covered up too much of the spider webs on the bottom.

I chose the slightly smaller flag from Frames and Flags Die Set instead.

This fit my sentiment perfectly and did not assume too much room at the bottom.

I stamped them on my sentiment on the flag and used white embossing powder to finish.

This is attached to the project at the bottom with foam tape.

Next, I attached the Franken-Newton images with foam tape.

Finally, I added my 3 hearts to the top of the bookmark with foam tape.

This was such a fun and quick project, and I am so happy I got to share it with you.

Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day

 Stay crafty my friends!

A Llama Birthday

 Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Diane Morales here sharing a Llama good Birthday card for Designer’s Nook.

So many birthdays this time of year for our family.

Today I am sharing a fun birthday card I created for a very special

Birthday using a few of my favorite Newtons Nook Product.

For this card I used

Lovable Llamas

Birthday Mice (hat only)

Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad

A7 Frames and Banner

Bookmark Die (banner only)

To start this card, I used the frame in the A7 Frames and Banner

To die cut 3 frames out of white cardstock.

Once cut, I glue the three frames together and place them aside with weight on to dry.

Thie idea for this card was to inset the printed cardstock into each window.

The pops of color coming from the windows and everything else to be neutral.

The hardest part of the card is choosing the paper that I wanted to use.

the Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad became the paper pad of choice.

But which color??

Thumbing through the pad I came across a slice of the confetti paper that you see in the middle.

I love the colors and that gave me the spark for the layout of the card.

I used the frame in the A7 Frames and Banner to die cut out the paper I chose.

I also created a card base that was slightly larger than the white frame what I created.

The first thing was to glue the frame that I created to the card base.

Next, I added the confetti pieces to the middle part of the frame.

The blue ballon on the left.

The yellow presents on the right.

These pieces are inset, so I glued the back and wiggled them in.

Stamping, coloring, and die cutting images from Lovable Llamas came next.

I used the colors from the cardstock to color the image.

I used black, gray, and white to color the Llama and the extras.

I attached all these pieces to the front of the card with foam tape.

The Llama needed a bit extra.

I started thumbing through my Newton’s stamps and decided on the party hat

From Birthday Mice that fits so well on the Llamas Head.

For a final touch I used the banner from the Bookmark Die.

I die cut the banner first.

Stamped my sentiment

Then I ran the banner back through the die to shorten the banner to fit on the card.

I also added tiny gems in the confetti panel for a touch of sparkle.

That is my card!

 Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day

Stay crafty my friends!

Inky Paw's Challenge 200 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Succulent Garden

A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad

Frameworks Die Set

Bookmark Die Set (banner)

Fancy Edges Tag Die (bonus Project)

This idea came from a trip to home depot.

When you go into the succulent area, they always have those “colored” cactus.

I always thought that this would be a great idea for a card.

With Succulent Garden I can make this card happen.

For the card front I used green polka dotted paper from A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad.

A quick run through my die cutting machine with

the Frameworks Die Set and I have a card front for my succulent card.

I stamped A BUNCH of succulents.

A whole 5x6 sheet of them (that I forgot to take a picture of)

I used the same style and changed the color to match the challenge color.

Once everything was colored in and die cut out, I stared to mock things up on the front of my card.

But first, I need a sentiment.

I used the banner from the Bookmark Die Set

I stamped on my sentiment of choice and placed this on the card front first.

Next, I stater to layer everything around the banner

making sure to add some height with foam tape.

To finish this card, I created a simple card base to fit behind my card front.

I also added some green enamel dots to the front.

I was not quite done with this project just yet.

I had so many stamped succulents left to use.

I pulled out my tag stash drawer and rummage around for

a couple that matched the challenge colors.

I stamped sentiments on to the tags first.

Then layered the remaining succulents on the tags.

A few more enamel dots to the front and my second project were complete.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.
