Here at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Featuring PAPER ROSE PRODUCTS

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

I love stencils!

With a stencil and a little bit of ink you can create a fantastic card.

For my card I used the 6x6 Damask Stencil by Paper Rose Products

My ink of choice is Blueprint Sketch and Pumice Stone Distress Oxide.

I started in the center with the Blueprint Sketch color and the

worked my way to the to edge with the Pumice Stone color.

I adore the dramatic effect of the two colors together.

Always on the quest to try something new, I created my flowers

by inking up some white cardstock with Blueprint Sketch.

When the ink dried, I used white embossing power and one of the flower

stamps from the Beautiful Flowers Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp.

After cutting out the flower, I added a little ink to the edges

of the flower and buffed the flower with a soft cloth.

This really made the white on the flowers stand out against the stenciled background.

For a finishing touch I added on a Thinking of You Sentiment Strips, some gold Nuvo Crystal drops, and some blue sequins from the mother of pearl sequin pack.

That completed my take on ANTYTHING GOES

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 145 - Friendship Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

This time it is all about the friendship.

Here is MY take on the challenge.

I stared my card by creating a background using The Petite Flowers Stencil.

I selected four Distress Oxide colors and just inked up the stencil.

Once I was sure the Oxide ink was dry, I ran my background thru the die cutting machine.

I used the large scalloped rectangle die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Nothing gives me the warm and fuzzy friendship feeling

more that the Smitten Kittens Stamp Set.

I chose the two cozy kittens to be my feature stamp.

Needing a place to put my sentiment I selected one of

the heats from the Hearts Frames Die.

The mini hearts from the Smitten Kitten Stamp Set

colored in to match the background completes my card.

that is MY take on the challenge sketch.

Now it is your turn.

Spring/Easter Mood Board - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week we are being inspired by a Spring Mood Board

Here at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Featuring products by Lawn Fawn

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

There is so much inspiration in this mood board it was hard to pick just one thing.

That is when I decided that tags for easter would be a good idea.

This way I can choose several items and colors from the mood board.

I decided on using bunnies and chicks and a couple of die set to make my tags.

The Say What Spring Critters Stamps and Dies are my set of choice.

I also used the Scalloped Circle Stackable Dies by Lawn Fawn

and the Stitched Rectangles by Simon Says Stamp.

I also in the process of using up all my scrap paper, so I grabbed a half sheet of

Audrey Blue Card Stock I had from another project

and bit of leftover Green Apple Card Stock from Simon Says Stamp.

A L-shaped scrap of Original Perfectly Plaid Card Stock by Lawn Fawn

I found in my stash compleats my paper choices.

Honestly, I did not have a plan. I just stared creating and let the tag making process happen.

In the end I came up with 5 cute tags to share with you.

What fun it was to make these tags. One stamp set and scrap paper went a long way!

I finished off my tags with Ocean Sparkle cord by Lawn Fawn.

That completed my take on our Spring Mood Board

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 144 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Using the above sketch, I came up with fun card.

OK! I been really into stencils lately.

Using ALL my scrap paper up has been a goal of mine for a while.

Stencil are a quick way off getting down the pile real fast!

Such was the case with the background for this card,

The Bold Blooms Stencil and some leftover orange card stock,

add some Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide Ink and a card was born!

I had just enough of my stenciled image to die cut a

square that fit perfect inside the Frames Squared Die Set.

This stenciled image and leftover yellow card stock makes the base of my card.

When I think of Flowers I also think of Butterflies, so the

Monarch Stamp Set was a natural choice to be my featured element of the card.

I colored the butterfly to make sure that it pops against the bright orange background.

My final touch for this card is to create two banners using the Small Banner

from the Frames and Flags Die Set. MY GO TO die set for all things banner related.

I adore this banner and it is the perfect size for my sentiment.

And that is MY take on the challenge sketch.

Now it is your turn.

Show us your take on this fun challenge.

Use Two or More Patterned Paper - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week we are USING 2 OR MORE PATTERNED PAPERS

Here at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Featuring products by DOODLEBUG DESIGNS

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

Using the 6x6 buffalo check-wood grain paper by Doodlebug

and my favorite rectangle die, I selected my colors

and die cut out 4 large rectangles.

I just got the NEW Simon Says Stamp Chunky A2 Scalloped Rectangles.

I felt this die would make a great base for this card.

Turns out I was right! the large scallops are perfect

for the style I was going for.

Next, I used the coordinating colors from

the 6x6 Swiss Dot Rainbow Petite Prints.

I die cut this selection of paper from a slightly smaller rectangle.

I had to do some math on this card and measure from edge to edge to

make sure that all the squares lined up and nothing looked wonky.

Lastly, die cut a circle from some REALLY OLD

Doodlebug paper that I had in my stash.

I am not sure what collection that this paper comes from,

but the polka dots match my background, so I went for it.

To finish off the card, I add on a cupcake

Doodle-pop and a cute banner sentiment from the

Hey Cupcake Chit Chat Die Cut Shapes.

That completes my take on 2 OR MORE PATTERNED PAPERS
