Sumer Time Fun IPC 98

One more week for the current Inky Paws Challenge!
Here is the challenge picture.

With summer just around the corner I reached for
one of my favorite Newton’s Nook Stamp Sets

Summer Time Fun a card by Diane Morales | Narly Mermaids Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

This card starts with the background.
I made” waves” using the

I kept it simple with light and dark blue paper.
I love the way this die cuts!  Puzzle piecing the waves together
made it easy to make the perfect background for this card!
For the element in the front, I went with a
simple square die cut, that I die cut a diamond shape into the middle.

On top of that is my mermaid and her friends.
These are colored in using soft sea colors.
I add some sparkle with purple Stickles.
Also, some confetti gems in the background.
The finishing touch is a sentiment banner I created

I attached this to my card using shimmery twine.
I hope this inspires you to create something crafty using the challenge sketch.
There is a link in the challenge picture above
so you can show us what you created.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

These Lttle Piggies IPC 98

Welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge.
Check out this AMAZING sketch we have for you!

I can’t wait to see how everyone interprets this sketch!
As for me, staring at the sketch, while sipping a cup of coffee, I came up with this idea!

My card features the OINK STAMP SET.
This stamp set has such a playful nature and I wanted
to make sure that it came through in my card.
For my background element, I chose to use bold geometric paper.
This makes the background stand out a bit from all that is
going on in the front element of the card.

The front element is basic square dies that I die cut out and embossed
with the ARGYLE STENCIL SET and a rubber embossing mat using my Cuttlebug.
As you can see, I colored my piggy’s in the classic pink color, with
a bright green bow to bring your attention to the front element.
For a finishing touch, I added grass from the MOO STAMP SET
and my sentiment!

As I said above, I CAN’T WAIT to see how everyone interprets this sketch!
So…don’t be shy, just dive in and share your creations with us using
the link in the challenge picture above.

I hope you have a wonderful week.
Thanks for stopping by.

What the Cluck ! IPC 97

Welcome to the second half of our current
Inky Paws Challenge!
Here are the challenge colors.

This card came about one late night in the studio.
I had a bunch of hodgepodge creations that I had
lying round my desk using the challenge colors.
I was trying to come up with an idea,
when the idea was in front of my face,
JUST USE WHAT I ALREADY HAVE!
Those bits became this card.

What the Cluck! a card by Diane Morales| Cluck Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

The background circles were fun.
The started out as just the challenge colors and the
Hardwood Stencil inked onto cardstock.

I ended up using the circles from the
This gave me the perfect mix of challenge colors for the background.

Bright yellow chickens… WHY NOT!
Blue and green feathers… SURE!
These cuties came from the Cluck Stamp Set.
The sentiments come from that stamp set as well.
The blue banner is cut from everyone FAVORITE die set.
I LOVE the results on this card!
It is bright and vibrant like the challenge colors.
I hope this inspires you to just GO FOR IT.
You might surprise yourself like I did.

Thanks for stopping by

Glad We Are Friends IPC 97

It’s color challenge time here at the Inky Paws Challenge!
Check out these AMAZING COLORS
we have for you to work with!

These colors made me think of one stamp set.

Check out how I used my colors!

Glad We Are Friends a card by Diane Morales | Newton's Birdhouse Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Using the Sunscape Stencil I created my sunny yellow
and white background for Newton and his Friends.
The blue became the bold color for my birdhouse.

The green was chosen to be Newton’s parrot friends
I placed all this cuteness on a shaped card.
Now it is your turn!
How will you break down the colors!
Make sure you use the challenge picture to link up your creations!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have a great week.

Hugs
