Butterfly Beauty- Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange

In my office I have two bins, one is for recycle and the other is for permanent recycle. The permanent recycle bin what you guessed it, destine for the trash bin. The recycle bin however, is all those images and little cut outs that you cannot bear to throw away. The pieces that you know you are going to use one day. I went rummaging thru recycle bin when this challenge came up. I had been saving this cut out of the butterfly for who knows what, but inked up, I think this could work. Started this project by inking up a background (stamp from the stash) and painted in the flowers with stain. Then I inked up the butterfly and chose the sentiment from SSS- Hello Beautiful. I layered all the pieces together, and chose a gray colored card for the background that would pop the colors. That is my card for the Monday Challenge. Hope you enjoyed. Stay crafty and have an amazing day. Diane

Lets do the polka- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challange

For this challenge we were asked to showcase Lawn Fawn items. After a quick trip to the local stamp shop, I was ready. I do not usually use Lawn Fawn product ( this was my 1st purchase) because quite frankly have you seen the awesomeness that the Lawn Fawn-ers create!  Not to mention the cuteness of the stamps, my bank account would be drained!     So, I started simple, just a couple of the small stamp sets. I stamped the cute starfish and jellyfish. Painted them in with distress stain and a little Stickles for some bling. I planned to highlight my DOTS in the background. I stamped my DOTS and distress inked them in. After looking at the card I could see that the background was plain and added the Stickles to the dots. I came up with a quick sentiment and attached all my pieces together.
Challenge complete!
Hope you enjoyed the card.         Diane

TRY TO RESIST- Simon Says Stamp Monday challange

Hey everyone! Here is my card for  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Embossing powder is my nemeses so I thought about a card that was was simple and quick. Using the Birthday Wishes stamp set from my Simon Says Stamp March kit of the month. I embossed the flowers and leaves onto some white card stock with clear embossing powder. I then used my daubers and distress ink and just tapped color onto the flowers and leaves. I added color to the background, and using the dot stamp from my kit, I added in the dots to fill the gaps.  The bottom of the card was a pure mistake. I was going to have my sentiment at the bottom by the flowers, but ended up smearing my stamped image. After the mess I made, I chose to just cut the bottom at an angle and stamp my sentiment on card base. A few additions of foam tape,                                       and I had a finished card.
That is all for now.
Thanks for stopping by, and stay crafty.

SPRING THING - Inky Paws Challenge # 30

ITS A SPRING THING
TGIF!
Happy Friday to everyone.
Anyone who know me, knows how much I LOVE Newtons Nook Stamps. Any chance I get to re-imagine their stamps into a fun project is always a good time. For this project I used the Versatile Vase stamp set. I distress stained the flowers, added some white pen accents, and fussy cut them out. I cheated a little by cutting out the card, window, and window box from my Silhouette. Decided to make the window and box a blend of Scattered Straw and Squeezed Lemonade stain to stand out. I whipped up a quick sentiment, and after some assembly we have our finished card.
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by.
Stay crafty

WHAT!

Hey everyone! Still under renovation in the woman cave.
The image of this card popped into my head while panting the walls. I LOVE  those crazy cats. For this card, just the basics. I stamped the images and painted them in with distress stain. Water colored in grass and the sky behind with stain. Busted into the stamp stash for a sentiment to stamp on, and of course some enamel accents to make the eyes pop.
Sending this one to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

As Always
Stay Crafty

CRAFT ROOM OVERHAULING

So... this is my hot mess of a desk. If you are of a crafty nature, you know what I am talking about. The tell tale signs of project gone right (and wrong... very wrong). When I first got this room, I was just thrilled to have a space to call my own. I painted the room yellow to improve the dark dungeon look. Got rid of the nasty" not sure what's on this rug ".  Truth be told, I just made this room functional.  Over the three years we have been in this house. I have elevated my crafty game, and its about time my space reflects this. The time has come, let the demo begin and lets elevate this space.

                             More to come.......
