I just started to mix and match paper until I came up with a combo that I liked.

I knew that I could only use one stamp set to make this card come together.

I love this stamp set. Lots of Stamps to mix and match with.
The perfect Stamp Set to complete the country feel of my card.

Bon Jour IPC 55

Hey everyone!
Are you ready for a
 Inky Paws Challenge !
This time it is all about the sketch.

I have to admit when I first saw this sketch, it sent my mind spinning.
Not one to back down from a challenge.
I took some time to think and came up with this.

Bon Jour a card by Diane morales| Newton dreams of Paris Stamp Set by Newton Nook Designs

Layering is not one of my strengths.
I always struggle on where to put what.
I wanted to "stretch my creative muscles"
So, I started with the stamping first.
The stamps are from "Newton Dreams of  Paris" Stamp Set.
The colors that I used for the stamped images
determined the colors that I was going to be using for the rest of the card.
I know I wanted to use some printed paper.
(stretching that creative muscle )
Then I just reverse engineered the card.
Starting with the shaped background and working up to the stamped images
I just played with everything until I got it right.
I LOVE the end result, but... it did me awhile to put it all together.
Now it is YOUR TURN.
YOU have two weeks to Get those Paws Inky.
That is September 22nd.
The Link is on the Challenge picture,
and as always links to the stamps are below.
Have a amazing week and
Thanks for dropping by.

Looking Sharp IPC # 54

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge.

In case you did not know it is all about the POLKA DOTS!

I had a little fun with card.
I may have gone a little overboard on this one.

Looking Sharp Card bt Diane Morales | Cultivated Cacti Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

HUGE fan of the "Cultivated Cacti Stamp Set.
Lots of awesome stamp choices for mixing and matching.
I wanted to do something different so I die-cut a cut away on the card.
If you don't have dies, you can use one of those pre-cut cards
you can get at your local craft store.
Yes, I stamped the sentiment on the inside (again, I wanted something different)
Here is the shocking part.
The dots.
I had finished the card, then realized I had forgot the dots!
Frantic that I had forgot the main component,
I had to come up with a quick solution.
To the stash I went and grabbed this.

Dot problem solved, and I LOVE the end result!
You still have time to create your own
polka dot creation.
Make some YOU time and get your paws INKY.
Don't forget to link up, we would love to see what you create.

As you can see, I have Polka dots everywhere.
A Polka Dot explosion if you will.
The "Toucan Party Stamp Set" is So fun to work with,
and such good inspiration for this challenge.

With all the was going on the front of this card, I chose
to put the sentiment on the inside of the card.

We would  LOVE to see what you would create.

Never Too Old to Play IPC53

Just a reminder that YOU still have time to play along with our current
Inky Paws Challenge.

In case your were not aware, we have a Color Challenge.

Here is MY insperation from the challenge colors.

Never Too Old To Play Card by Diane Morales| Newton Unwinds Stamp Set by Newton Nook Designs

For this card I went with a favorite of mine, a shaped card.
I chose the"Newton Unwinds" Stamp Set and the
NEW Pawprint Purrfect stencil, for the front of my card.
I Love the playful nature of the "Newton Unwinds"
and I wanted my card to reflect this.
Using just a few of the paw prints on the stencil,
I inked the space around the sentiment and the kitty
with some of the challenge colors.

You still have time to play along.
The link closes on Friday August 25th.
You could be the winner of a $20 dollar credit to Newtons Nook Designs.
Thanks for droping by.

Newton's Space Odyssey IPC53

It's all about the color for the NEW
Inky Paw's Challenge  # 53

Not going to lie, this card has A LOT going on. But... this was the first design
I though of when I saw the "Cosmic Newton " Stamp Set
and the colors for this current challenge.

Newton's Space Odyssey by Diane Morales| Cosmic Newton Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Can I just tell you how excited I was when I saw this set!
Newton has been everywhere, so why not space!
I used the three colors in the challenge and blended them out
using a stencil to create the background for our Astro Cat .
Next, I colored Newton ( in Star Trek colors of course) being carful
NOT to use the colors in the backround.
I did not want my image of Newton to be washed out.
I added on Newton and that awesome sentiment with some foam tape.
Finally, just a little shine from a Sakura Stardust Pen
and I was done!
This card came together so easy, it was scary.
I hope this provides some inspiration for you.
You do not have to go as crazy as I did.
Just let the colors in the challenge be your guide.
The link for this challenge closes on  Friday August 25th
YOU could win A $20 credit to Newtons Nook.

That's all for now, and thanks for stopping by.

I came up with this card.
Have a Sweet Day a card by Diane Morales| Newton"s Nook Designs| Party Pops Stamp Set

In the begining of my craft  journey, like most, I started out in Scrapbooking.
And... like most people I have a huge stash (I do mean HUGE) of printed paper.
So why not use that stash to good use.
This is a three panel card with the center die cut out.
I want to show off these too cute popsicles from the "Party Pops" Stamp Set.
I took my time and just "procraftinated " with paper and color.
I love the end result and I hope that it give you insperation to join us at the Challenge.

Winstons Birthday IPC 52

Hey Everyone!
Coming at you to day with a post for the current
Inky Paws Challenge.
It's a sketch Challenge for you to get your Paws inky with.
Sketch challenges are always the hardest for me.
My brain always thinks of a million different ways to configure the sketch
but this time, I took a different approach.

Winstons Birthday by Diane Morales | Winson's Birthday Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I purchased the "Winston's  Birthday" stamp set awhile ago.
Quite honestly because I liked all the little stamps in the set.
I got to thinking,
"what if  I was to use those little stamps elements as the focus of the card"
That's when it hit me.
Embossing It!

I "versamarked" those cut little accessory stamps on to white paper,
and emboss over with clear embossing powder.
Added color over that, in my case Distress ink.
It is a leap of faith, when you do this style of inking
because this could turn into a crafty re-do real quick.
This case all was well !
I'm in love with the way it turn out, and
The Tiny stamps in this Stamp set inspired
some other cards that I will share later.

That's all for now!
I hope this inspires you to get out that
embossing pad and get your paws inky!

As always, links are below.
Thanks for dropping by.

Reach for the Stars sssw

Hello to everyone.

I have a quick post for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week it all about the STARS.
What better way to celebrate the stars then by using the cute new
stamp set by Newtons Nook Designs
"Cosmic Newton"
background STARS layering stencil from
Stampers Anonymous

I was messing around with product one day,
and created the background for this card first.
I inked the stencil in on the card base first.

I thought it looked boring, so I grabbed my jar of Ranger Texture Paste
and smeared a good coat on top of the stenciled image.
Just for extra sparkle I add some Rock Candy glitter on top of the Texture Paste.
Not only did the glitter stay but it dried in the Texture Paste
and created a cool Sparkly Texture.

I thought it looked cool, but I did not finish the card
till the "Cosmic Newton" Stamp Set came out.
Newton in the space ship and the shooting stars was
the perfect Image to finish this card.
Hope you enjoyed the card
Thanks for stopping by.

Seas the Day IPC #51

Hey Everyone!

Diane here with some inspiration for our current challenge over at

The Inky Paws Challenge

In case you did not know it is all about the

For this card I went a little crazy
This look complicated, but it just A LOT of layering.

Seas the Day Card by Diane Morales | Tranquil Tides Stamp Set By Newtons Nook Designs

As you can see below, I taped off part of my card with leftovers from a die-cut.
The background is simply Distress Ink and a sample of watercolor that is mixed together.
No exact way to do this. I used a Dabber to put down the base color.
When that was semi dry, I just splashed the color on top of that see what developed.

When that part was dry, I just started to layer all the Pieces
that I had inked and die cut from the Tranquil Tide Stamp Set.
If you can, get the die-cut with this set.
The dies really help to showcase all the cool detail of this Stamp Set.
Then I stamped in the sentiment and busted into the stash, and grabbed the Stickles
to add a finishing touch of bling to the card.
I had a Blast with this card. Deciding all the colors of this card was the hard part.
I hope that this encourages you to get your paws inky.
 Stamp sets are listed below.
Bye for now!
