Here is my take on this challenge.

For this card I used the following product

“U OLD” Cling Rubber Stamp

Let us get started on this card.

I just love Riley and Company and such fun and snarky rubber stamps!

I started this card by creating a card base of Surf Blue cardstock.

Using a stamp from the “Life is a Party” Stamp Set I stamp on a bit of texture to the card base.

Next, I searched thru my collection of printed card stock and came up with two

selection that I thought would go well with the sentiment.

Since I love circles, this became my die cut of choice for this card.

I also die cut out some matching background circles for the printed paper.

Super easy to assemble this card.

I die cut a circle out of white cardstock and stamped on my sentiment

I layered up all the circles that I die cut out and decided on placement for the front of the card.

Everything is then layered on the front of the card.

I did pop up a couple of the pieces with foam tape.

For a finishing touch I added on matching enamel dots.

This completes my take on Anything Goes

Featuring Riley and Company

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 176 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Using the challenge colors, I came up with this card.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Newton’s 4th of July

Frames and Flags Die Set

Circle Frames Die Set

Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad

Love and Meow’s 6x6 Paper Pad

To start this card, I rummaged thru my Newton Paper Packs and went looking for paper

that would match the challenge colors. For the background I found a light blue striped.

I also found a red polka dot paper that I will also be using on the card.

The light blue stripes I die cut out using the Frames and Flags Die Set.

This would start my card front.

The red polka dots paper I die cut out with the 3 ¼ circle from the Circle Frames Die.

Next, I stamped and colored my image from Newton’s 4th of July.

When coloring the rocket, I matched the colors to the striped paper and

used a much of the challenge colors that I could.

I went into my die stash and found a die circle that was slightly smaller that the polka dot paper one.

After I die cut this out using white cardstock, I stamped on some of the

fireworks from the stamp set and embossed them with Holographic embossing powder.

To assemble the card, I created a card base with dark blue card stock.

I glued my stripped paper on top of that. To make my card front.

I glued my die cut circles together and add newton on top with foam tape.

After I added this to the front of my card, I stamped on a sentiment

and added on a couple of the stars from the stamp set.

I hope this inspires you to try out this fun challenge.

Clean and Simple - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Clean and Simple

Featuring products by

Hero Arts

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

For this card I used the following product

POP ART FLOWERS

Let us get started on this card.

Since this is a CAS card (clean and simple) I decided on my colors first.

The classic black, white, and pop of color seemed like a fun idea.

I die cut out a rectangle out of white card stock.

Although there are some awesome flowers included in the stamp set, I decided to work with just one.

Using fog ink I stamped shadow flowers in the background.

Then I stamped and fussy cut out the same flower onto a separate piece of cardstock.

For this flower I added on some colors using my Spectrum Noir markers.

I also stamped on a sentiment on the front of the card.

To finish of this card, I created a card base using my favorite black cardstock.

I attached the rectangle card front on the base and added on the fussy cut flower with foam tape.

To make the flower pop I used a clear sparkle marker over the top

A few white gems around the flower complete my card.

This completes my take on CAS

Featuring HERO ARTS

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge 176 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Using the challenge colors, I came up with this card.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Purr-maid Newton

Waves Stencil

Sea Boarders Die

With these colors I wanted to inspire you to do something unexpected.

I went thru my Newton stamp draw and came across the Purr-maid Newton.

Something just clicked in my head “Blue Cat”.

Mermaids come in different colors… right!

I stamp out my purr-maid and colored one blue in the challenge colors

and the other purr-maid with red accents.

Super excite for how cute the purr-maids turned out, I turned my attention to how to finish this card.

I thought that I stenciled background was the best option and decided on the Waves stencil.

I wanted to keep the background easy and stenciled dark blue ink onto blue cardstock.

The colors did not stand out as boldly as I wanted them to.

Next, I tried and old technique, I stenciled on the blue cardstock

with Versamark ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

The clear embossing powder lifted color off the card stock and created a light blue wave.

This created the bold look I was looking for in the background.

As I was staging the card, I noticed that I did not have enough white on the card.

I used the Sea Boarders die to create a white wave area at the bottom of the card.

This also became a great place for my sentiment.

To finish my card, I added on some of the fish from the die set.

Also, I got out my bucket of Stickles and glittered all the Purr-maid parts and the fish.

I hope this inspires you to try out this fun challenge.

Add A Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Add a Sentiment

Featuring products by

Newton’s Nook Designs

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

For this card I used the following product

CYCLING FRIENDS STAMP SET

TREE LINED STENCIL

Let us get started on this card.

For this card I decided on a 4x6 size.

The cycling friend stamp set is on the larger size perfect for this size card.

Also, I wanted to make sure that I could use all the trees on the stencil.

Once my card front is cut to size, I lined up the Tree Lined Stencil and taped it down.

I was going for a cherry blossom look on the trees and that is why I used Picked Raspberry and

Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink when blended my trees on the front of the card.

While the trees are drying, I turned my attention to the stamp set.

I stamped out my images and colored them in.

I also stamped and colored in the presents for the basket.

To assemble my card, I first created a “road” using a strip of Smoke cardstock that

I brushed the edges with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide.

Once the “road” is glued to the front of the card, I stamped out my sentiment below.

Next, I added on my stamped image and basket of presents with foam tape.

To complete my card, I placed my card front on a card base made with Cotton Candy Card Stock.

This completes my take on Add a Sentiment
