Simon Wednesday Challenge

This week ANYTHING GOES

at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Featuring products by PENNY BLACK

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

This week I decided on a shaped card.

I am using the Honey Bee Hexagon Solid Stack Dies.

I die cut out a piece of Cotton Candy Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp.

My card features the Enliven Clear Stamp by Penny Black.

I am doing thing a little different by stamping directly on to Cotton Candy Card Stock.

Then I outlined some of my buds and the flowers in using my Spectrum Noir Classique Markers.

I also colored in the stems of the flowers gray.

This simple detail gave me the pop of color I was needing.

Next, I created a card base and a background layer using the same Hexagon Die set.

Finally, I created a banner using the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner Dies.

The smallest banner was perfect for the sentiment that came with the stamp set.

For the finishing touches on this card, I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen.

A quick swipe on the flowers to add some up-close bling.

A little bit of Diamond Stickles between the stems adds a finishing touch.

That completes my take on ANYTHING GOES

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge - Sketch Challenge

HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge?

Check out this challenge!

Using the above sketch, I came up with this card.

I knew that I wanted to use the Winston Takes Flight Stamp Set.

I knew that I wanted to use the Sky Boarder Die to create white clouds.

That is when I decided I would have a blue sky, just two different shades of blue.

This would create the center element in the sketch.

I die cut out the sizes I wanted for a card front and a smaller size for the insert behind the clouds.

Using the Clouds Stencil, I inked up “clouds” using Chipped Sapphire and Stormy Sky Distress Ink.

When my ink was dry, I layered up my two pieces and admired my cloudy sky.

Next, I added on my white fluffy cloud I created.

Finally, I attached Winston and the banner.

For my airplane colors I went with a more vintage vibe.

I felt that this style of color would stand out against all the blue and white.

That completes my take on the fun sketch

Sending Hugs - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

We are SENDING HUGS

Featuring products by IMPRESSION OBSESSION

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

I just love anything with a kitty on it!
For this super cute stamp, I had to create a background.
I decided on the “miss you” tile from the
Using the tile stamp I brick stamped a background using Versamark Onyx Black Ink.

Once I was confident that the ink was dry, I die-cut out a card base
using Rectangle Basic Set by Memory Box.
I selected some bold colors of Spectrum Noir Classique Markers
and colored in my kitty.
To add some interest in the back I used white gel pen
and added on some polka dots.

I die cut out my Kitty and a foam backer

using Basic Square Wafer Dies by Simon Says Stamp.

To finish out my card, I placed my kitty and foam backer to the front of my card.

I then adhered my card front to a folded card base created

with Black Black8 Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp

That completes my take on Sending Hugs.

Inky Paw's Challenge 146 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on these amazing challenge colors.

For some reason when I saw the challenge colors, I thought tropical.

I started this card by using some bold yellow card stock.

The Frames Squared Die Set is my die of choice for this card.

On top of this I stenciled on the Tropical Leaves Stencil

using Versamark and clear embossing powder.

This is an aspect of the card that you cannot really see in photos,

but it adds a nice up-close element and texture for the recipient of the card.

My stamp set of choice for this card is the Tropical Fringe.

Pineapples and tropical flowers that are perfect for the challenge colors.

Once my coloring was done, I stamped in my sentiment in the center

and added some details with a Gel Pen.

Finally, I die cut out my stamped piece and a piece of foam using

the Scalloped Edge Square from the Frames Squared Die Set.

I glued the two pieces together and attaching them to the front of my card.

That is my take on the challenge colors.

   Now it is your turn!

Clean and Simple - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

We are keeping it CLEAN AND SIMPLE

Featuring products by Hero Arts

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash?

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

For my card, this week I chose the Hero Arts Florals Lotus Stamp and Die Combo.

I just love the huge size of the Lotus Flower and BONUS….

this stamp set come with dies!

Since we are doing clean and simple, I decide on only one type of card stock,

one embellishment, and the stamp set I chose.

Using my markers, I colored my Lotus Flowers in my favorite bold earthy colors.

After I finished my flowers, I die-cut the flowers out and staged them

on my card base made from Neenah Desert Storm Card Stock.

Once I got my arrangement right, I stamped on my sentiment

and permanently adhered that lotus flowers to the front.

Finished this card with some sparkle from

the Simon Says Stamp Autumn Sequins Mix.

That completes my take on CLEAN AND SIMPLE
