Anything Goes - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

ANYTHING GOES

                                        Featuring stamps and dies by

IMPRESSION OBSESSION

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My stamp set of choice for this challenge is

Halloween Cling Stamp by Impression Obsession

and

Spooky Eyes by Simon Says Stamp

To start this card, used my Rectangle Basic Set by Memory Box and die cut out four small rectangles from the following card stock Audrey Blue, Orange Peel, Royal Purple, and Bright Yellow.

All these rectangles are glued down to basic piece of white cardstock forming my card front.

I lined this colorful card front up in my stamp platform and using a Barely Beige Ink Pad and the Spooky Eyes Stamp set, I made my card front creepy by stamping on the eyes.

I turned my attention to the sentiment and die cut an oval from white card stock that would best fit the Halloween Cling stamp. I stamped on my stamp of choice and colored in the image choosing colors that would match the background that I created.

Once this was done, I was ready to assemble my card attaching my finished sentiment to the front of the card with foam tape. Then I attached everything to a card base created with Black Black8 Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp. To finish this card, I added on a few sequins from the Midnight Sequin Mix by Little Things from Lucy’s Cards

This completes my take on ANYTHING GOES

Inky Paw's Challenge 160 - Cozy Plaid Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Check out my take on the challenge

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Paw-tumn Newton

Signs of Fall Stamp Set

Frames and Flags Die Set

Since I was in a crunch for time this challenge, I decided to use some paper from my paper stash for my card.

This cute plaid struck my eye, so I die cut it out using the Frames and Flags Die Set and make it my card front.

I also die cut out the curved edge rectangle out of white card stock as a place for my image to sit.

My stamp set of choice is the Paw-tumn Newton.

I stamped and colored my image using the colors that are in the plaid background.

For a pop of color, I kept the pumpkin color orange.

I created a card base using the Frames and Flags Die Set and stared to assemble my card.

Once my card front was glued down, I pop up my image with foam tape  and placed it on the front.

To finish my card, I used a sentiment and leaves from the Signs of Fall Stamp Set.

This completes my take on our theme challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the Cozy Paid Theme and show up your take.

Spooky/Halloween - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

SPOOKY/HALLOWEEN

                                        Featuring stamps and dies by

SIMON SAYS STAMP

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My stamp and dies sets of choice for this challenge are

Toil And Trouble Stamp Set And Die

Kaleidoscope Embossing Folder

To start this card, I stamped out the Toil And Trouble Stamp Set

I did not want to us traditional Halloween colors, so I did some color plucking

and came up with the colors you see on the card.

Once my images were colored in, I decided that the stamped images alone

were just going to be too plain for a white card base. This card needed something else.

I have been playing around with the Kaleidoscope Embossing Folder, using

scraps of paper that I have and loving the results.

Using off cuts of Banana Yellow, Green Apple, Sunshine, and Peacock Teal Card Stock.

I cut down each color into strips about 1 ¼ inch wide

and glued them down to basic white card stock.

The idea was to have to whole card front to be the Kaleidoscope Embossing Folder,

But this was WAY too much color, so I decided on a feature circle .

One of my go-to dies is the stitched circles in the Circle Frames Dies by Newton’s Nook Designs.

Carefully I die cut out my strips of paper and then ran the die cut through the embossing folder.

Once this was attached to my card base, I added on the Toil And Trouble elements

that I popped up with foam tape.

I finished my card with a die cut sentiment, and stars from the stamp set.

Also, some shimmery gems from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

This completes my take on SPOOKY/HALLOWEEN

Inky Paw's Challenge 159 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!
We are at the halfway point of this current challenge

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Designs product.

Batty Newton

Candy Corn Stencil

Frameworks Die Set

Circle Frames Die Set

Frames and Flags Die Set

In keeping with the Halloween theme, I created this card.

For the background I used the Candy Corn Stencil.

I kept the colors traditional using Distress Oxide Ink to make sure the candy corn stands out.

Once the ink was dry, I used the Scalloped Edge Die from the Frameworks Die Set

to cut out my stenciled image and create the center element.

Simple is the name of the game for this card.

I opted for matching yellow card stock to create my card front.

White card stock was used for the element on the rear of the sketch.

My featured stamp is Batty Newton.

I colored in my image using earthy colors.

I do like the way the colors looks against all the yellow.

To create the prize medallion that has my sentiment I started with

the 1 3/8th circle from the Circle Frames Die Set with white card stock.

Next, I found  a circle die from my stash that is slightly larger and used it with black card stock.

To finish the medallion, I used one of the flags from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

This had to be slightly trimmed down on the sides to get the proportions right.

Once the sentiment was stamped on, I glued everything together and added this to the card.

To finish my card, I placed my card front on a card created with white card stock

This completes my take on our sketch challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the challenge theme and show us your take.

Not A Card - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

NOT A CARD

    Featuring stamps and dies by

TIM HOLTZ

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

My stamp and dies sets of choice for this challenge are

Halloween Doodles (CMS437) by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous

Mini Stencil Set 23 (THMST023) by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous

Stacked Baroque Thinlits Dies (662693) by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix

Tattered Banners Decorative Strips (657179) by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix

To start this tag, I die cut one of the Baroque shapes out of white card stock.

Using Wilted Violet Distress Ink, I stared in the center of the tag and inked outward.

Prize Ribbon was next. I added this ink around the edges leaving a patch of purple in the center.

To darken up the edges of the tag I used a generous amount of Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

I put the tag aside to dry and turned my attention to the stamp set.

I just love the poison bottles in the Halloween Doodles Stamp Set.

Three of these fit on the front of this tag comfortably.

I stamped out my three tags and colored them in using bold colors.

I bit of Glossy Accents make the poison look dangerous.

Back to the tag.

Using the skull and crossbones from the Mini Stencil Set 23 and

Black Soot Distress Ink I stenciled on my image.

While the stenciled part was still wet, I used my water sprayer and flicked on a bit of water.

I let the water wick for a minute and then dabbed it off with a paper towel.

I put the tag aside again to dry and worked on the sentiment.

Tattered Banners Decorative Strips and Black Black8 Card Stock.

I simple die cut out the banner and folded it so that it fit nicely on the front of the tag.

I wrote on “drink me!” with a white gel pen.

Before I assemble the tag, I decided I wanted it to look a bit weathered.

Using a sanding block, I striped some of the edges of color exposing the white cardstock.

I also added a black edge around the whole tag using an alcohol marker.

To assemble this tag, I  decided on the placement of my poison bottles.

I propped two of the bottles with foam tape.

I also added the banner to the front.

This completes my take on NOT A CARD
