Inky Paw's Challenge 181 - Fall Theme

 HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge?

Check out this challenge!

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Newton Crate

Paw-tum Newton

Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad

Circle Frames Die

Using the Fall Theme, I created this card.

I am so excited for all the fun Fall themed stamps.

And I LOVE THE PRINTED PAPER!!

The Autumn paper pack is one of my new favorites!

I stared my card by creating a shaped card using the Circle Frames Die Set and pumpkin orange cardstock.

The natural choice for the front of the card was to use the pumpkin paper from the Autumn Paper Pack.

Next, I stamped and colored the images from the Newton’s Crate.

I did not want to lose any of the background from that gorgeous paper so, I used a velum circle to ground my image.

On top of the velum circle, I added on the image from Newton Crate popped up with foam tape.

I felt like Newton needed I few more pumpkins, so I thumbed

through my Newton sets and chose the pumpkins from Paw-tum Newton.

I stamped, colored and die cut the extra pumpkins out and added them to the front of the card.

This completes my take on this fun challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 160 - Cozy Plaid Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Check out my take on the challenge

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Paw-tumn Newton

Signs of Fall Stamp Set

Frames and Flags Die Set

Since I was in a crunch for time this challenge, I decided to use some paper from my paper stash for my card.

This cute plaid struck my eye, so I die cut it out using the Frames and Flags Die Set and make it my card front.

I also die cut out the curved edge rectangle out of white card stock as a place for my image to sit.

My stamp set of choice is the Paw-tumn Newton.

I stamped and colored my image using the colors that are in the plaid background.

For a pop of color, I kept the pumpkin color orange.

I created a card base using the Frames and Flags Die Set and stared to assemble my card.

Once my card front was glued down, I pop up my image with foam tape  and placed it on the front.

To finish my card, I used a sentiment and leaves from the Signs of Fall Stamp Set.

This completes my take on our theme challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the Cozy Paid Theme and show up your take.

Inky Paw's Challenge 156 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

In keeping with the Halloween theme, I have a fun shaped card

using some uncommon Halloween colors.

I am in love with the way that the background on the card turned out.

I used gray cardstock and the Flying Bats Stencil.

My ink of choice is Black Soot Distress Oxide.

Since you are using black ink, my suggestion would to be to

use a bit of Pixie Spray on the back side of the stencil.

This will keep the black in from bleeding and give you a crisp stenciled image.

Once the background is set aside to dry, I turned my attention to the

images from the Brooms and Boos Stamp Set.

I stamped out and die cut the bats.

I also stamped and die cut one of the witches.

I love the look of pink and black for Halloween.

I chose several different pink markers and started coloring.

Finally, I was ready to assemble the card.

Using the Rounded Edge Rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set

I created a card front using the batty background I created.

I also created a base for my images to set using black cardstock.

I layered on my witch and bats on the front of the card with foam tape.

It was at this point that I decided this card needed a little bit more.

Thumbing through my Newton Stamp Sets looking for pumpkins I went.

I ended using pumpkins from Paw-tumn Newton and Harvest Tails Stamp Sets.

I added in a splash of color by using traditional orange on a couple if the pumpkins.

To finish the card, I carefully stamp on a sentiment over my bats and created a

card base using a similar rounded edge die from my Sizzix stash.

This completes my take on our sketch challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the challenge theme and show us your take.

Inky Paws Challenge - Autumn Theme

HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge?

 I just LOVE autumn!

I been in crafty rut lately.

As makers we always look for inspiration everywhere.

Why not use the challenge picture and create a card based on it?

A card by Diane Morales created for the Inky Paws Challenge by Newton's Nook Designs

The background was created using the FRAMES AND FLAGS DIE SET

and papers from my stash.

On top of that, I have the 3¼ stitched circle from the

CIRCLE FRAMES DIE set to create my feature circle.

Grass under the truck was created by back cutting

a piece of the stitched circle and inky up the piece with Distress Ink.

The feature stamp is from FARMING FUN STAMP SET.

Fall colors are the best!

I used those colors and the leaves and pumpkin from the

Paw-tumn Newton Stamp to add that fall flare.

Checkout how the pumpkin fits perfectly in the truck bed.

Finally, I used a sentiment from the FALL ROUNDABOUT STAMP SET

and the BANNER TRIO DIES to create a place for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my (literal) take on our Autumn Theme.

May this card inspire you to use your favorite Newton’s Nook Stamps

along with the sketch and GET CRAFTY!

Inky Paws Challenge 132 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

That is right!  It is time for a sketch challenge!

I just LOVE this challenge.

Here is what I created using the challenge sketch.

a card by Diane Morales featuring the Paw-Tumn Newton Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs

I have an easy card featuring the NEW and uber cute

PAW-TUMN NEWTON STAMP

For the base of the card I used a rectangle die set and some paper from my stash.

I die cut my three layers out and glued everything together.

Since my background is just black and white,

I used bold bright fall colors on my stamped image.

I love the colors that I used on my stamped image so much,

I decided they would also look great on my side element.

The Frames and Flags Die Set was perfect for these elements.

After I die cut out my elements, I used my alcohol markers to put color on them.

I made sure the ink was good and dry and then I stamped on my sentiment.

I added on my stamped image to the front of my card with foam tape to finish out my card.

Hope this inspires you to use your favorite Newton’s Nook Stamps

along with the sketch and GET CRAFTY!
