Inky Paws Challenge - Sketch Challenge

 

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

 

Using the challenge sketch, I came up with this card.

When I am not sure what I want to do, I always fall back on making a shaped card.

It will most likely be round because I love anything round.

Inspired by all the falling leaves around me, 

I knew that wanted to use The Autumn Leaves Die Set

But how to put it all together?

I started die cutting A BUNCH of leaves with some off-white card stock.

What goes good with off-white card stock… Kraft Card Stock.

Kraft card stock became the base of the card.

I absolutely love the Circle Frames Dies.

I die cut out the Scalloped Circle and started layering the leaves on to that.

Once the leaves were all glued down, I turned my attention to creating the banner.

Using the Land Borders Die Set I die cut off my 1^st section of my banner.

Check out the picture below to see how I cut

the second piece of the banner so that they fit together.

For my final touches I stamped out my image from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.

I colored her in with my alcohol markers.

I also used a sentiment from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set

  that I carefully stamped onto my banner.

Inky Paws Challenge - Autumn Theme

 

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

This challenge is perfect for the weather right now.

The days are mild and sunny, and the nights are cool and crisp.

Check out my card for the challenge.

As a kid always wanted to play in autumn leaves.

Being from California, I never got the chance.

How fun would it be to have Newton play in the autumn leaves!

Using the Fall Roundabout Stamp it became easy to create this idea.

I started with a standard size A2 piece of card stock.

I used the Fall Roundabout Stamp and stamped 

at the top and bottom of the card square.

 Coloring in all my leaves using fall colors was the next step.

Then made the bold move to die cut out the square I just colored

with the Large postage Edge Rectangle from the Frameworks Die Set.

Using Newton from Newton’s Flower Garden Stamp

I colored and die cut using the same fall colors.

I need a break in color, so I used the 2 5/8 circle from the Circle Frames Die.

This became the perfect spot for Newton to chill in flood of autumn color.

I finished with one of the sentiments from the fall roundabout stamp set 

and my favorite banner from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Please note, I did have to snip the stamp to make it fit in the banner,

Inky Paws Challenge - Autumn Theme

 

HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge?

 I just LOVE autumn!

I been in crafty rut lately.

As makers we always look for inspiration everywhere.

 Why not use the challenge picture and create a card based on it?

The background was created using the FRAMES AND FLAGS DIE SET

and papers from my stash.

On top of that, I have the 3¼ stitched circle from the

 CIRCLE FRAMES DIE set to create my feature circle.

Grass under the truck was created by back cutting

a piece of the stitched circle and inky up the piece with Distress Ink.

The feature stamp is from FARMING FUN STAMP SET.

Fall colors are the best!

I used those colors and the leaves and pumpkin from the

Paw-tumn Newton Stamp to add that fall flare.

Checkout how the pumpkin fits perfectly in the truck bed.

Finally, I used a sentiment from the FALL ROUNDABOUT STAMP SET

and the BANNER TRIO DIES to create a place for the sentiment.
