Inky Paw's Challenge 190 - Love Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

 For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Love Bots

Circle Frames Die Set

Land Boarders Die Set

Love Café (sentiment)

Pumpkin Latte (coffee cup)

 Hello everyone!

I stared my card for this challenge by creating a base made of the

Scalloped edge from the Circle Frames Die Set.

For this next part, I cheated a bit.

I went into my die stash and found a nesting circle die that just fit over the scalloped circle.

This die will be the base for my card front that I die cut out of blue card stock.

To create the grass in the background, I used the Land Boarders Die Set with green cardstock.

Once the grass was die cut out, I used the nesting circle die that I used

for my card front to make a nice even circle card front.

I glued my sky and grass together and competed my card front.

The next thing I did was to stamp, color, and die cut out the robots from Love Bots.

I add some shimmer with gel pens and placed the robots aside to dry.

I had to go looking thru my Newton stamps to find a coffee cup that would work for my idea.

I settled on the cup from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.

I also found the sentiment from Love Café.

A perfect match for my card.

The robots were added to my card with foam tape. Then the coffee cup.

I stamped my sentiment and created a simple banner around

the sentiment that I attached to my card front.

This completes my take on this challenge.

Inky Paw's Challenge 158 - Color Challenge

 

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

 For this challenge I used the following product.

Count Newton Stamp Set

Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set

Circle Frames Die Set

I knew that I wanted to use the Count Newton Stamp Set for this challenge.

That makes the challenge colors… challenging!

However, the idea for this card first came to me when I first saw the Count Newton Stamp Set.

Now I must figure out how to put the two ideas together.

I started this card by die cutting out Count Newton Stamp Set 

and colored in the image using the challenge colors.

The base of this card is Neenah Desert Storm card stock and the perfect color for the tan color.

A simple 2 inch strip of Burnt Orange Card Stock adds a pop of color in the background.

To create a place for Count Newton I used the 3 ½ inch stitched circle

from the Circle Frames Die Set

Now for the hard part.

I searched all my NND stamps to find the perfect coffee cup for Count Newton to hold.

There were a few good choices, I decided that the coffee cup from

the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set fit the best in Count Newton Paw.

After adding the coffee cup. I finished my card by add on my

sentiment and gluing everything together.

I added finishing touches by adding a bat and some custom made dots to match Count Newton.

This completes my take on our color challenge.

Inky Paws Challenge - Sketch Challenge

 

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

 

Using the challenge sketch, I came up with this card.

When I am not sure what I want to do, I always fall back on making a shaped card.

It will most likely be round because I love anything round.

Inspired by all the falling leaves around me, 

I knew that wanted to use The Autumn Leaves Die Set

But how to put it all together?

I started die cutting A BUNCH of leaves with some off-white card stock.

What goes good with off-white card stock… Kraft Card Stock.

Kraft card stock became the base of the card.

I absolutely love the Circle Frames Dies.

I die cut out the Scalloped Circle and started layering the leaves on to that.

Once the leaves were all glued down, I turned my attention to creating the banner.

Using the Land Borders Die Set I die cut off my 1^st section of my banner.

Check out the picture below to see how I cut

the second piece of the banner so that they fit together.

For my final touches I stamped out my image from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.

I colored her in with my alcohol markers.

I also used a sentiment from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set

  that I carefully stamped onto my banner.

Time to create a scene with Inky Paws Challenge #130

 

HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!!

Check out this challenge!

With everything going on, I believe that it is important to look forward.

For me that is fall. Not only because it is my birthday time,

but fall and Halloween just make me happy

Check out my pumpkin patch!

For this card I had to create a custom card base.

I wanted plenty of space to work with for my pumpkin patch.

The final size of my card became 5 ½ x 5 ½.

Just a basic background of Distress Ink for this one.

Chose whatever colors you like.

On top of the background I created “grass” with the Land Borders Die.

On top of the die cut grass,

 I inked on MORE “grass” using the Hills & Grass Stencil.

Now to the pumpkins…

They are from the Pumpkin Latte and Harvest Tails Stamp Set.

I also have the fox and sentiment from the Harvest Tails Stamp Set.

For touch of whimsy I add on Newton from

Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set.

AND

one of the owls and branch from the

What a Hoot Stamp Set.
