Inky Paw's Challenge 194 - Color Chalenge

 Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

 Lovable Llamas

Hills and Grass Stencil

Circle Frames Die Set

Land Boarders Die

 To start this card, I decided that the card base would be created from

 the scalloped circle in the Circle Frames DieSet.

I used lilac cardstock to match the challenge colors.

The inner circle is a nesting circle from my die stash that fit just perfect.

I cut two of the nesting circles out. For one of the circles,

I used the Land Boarders Die and secured it on the bottom quarter

 of the circle with tape and ran this thru my die cutting machine.

I inked on Twisted Citron Distress Ink to turn the die cut green, and then using the

Hills and Grass Stencil I inked on some “grass” using a darker color of Distress Ink.

The other nesting circle I splatted with Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

I also stamped on a sentiment and placed this circle aside to dry.

I stamped, colored, and die cut my pieces from Lovable Llamas.

To start the assembly of my card, I added the splatted nesting circle to the card base.

Next, I lined up my grassy area at the bottom.

I added foam tape to the back of all the images and positioned my stamped images.

 on to my card front one by one checking the placement.

For a final touch, I used some Stickles to add shimmer to the front of the card.

This completes my take on this challenge.

Inky Paw's Challenge 175 - One Layer Challenge

 

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Gnome Garden

Dainty Daisies

Hills and Grass Stencil

To start this fun card, I started by stamping the

Gnome from the Gnome Garden Stamp Set on to my chosen card front.

Once the gnome was masked off, I stamped the Dainty Daisies Stamp Set around the gnome.

This was not a well planned out move, because I realized that 

should have inked my grass at the bottom first.

I ended up masking the bottom of the daisies as well.

I used the grass side of the Hill and Grass Stencil and inked in as close to the Gnome as I could.

I carefully colored in the gnome and flowers on the front of the card.

I really took my time, so I did not have to start this card over.

To finish this card, I added a blue shadow around the daisies to simulate sky.

I also stamped a sentiment on the grassy area.

My card is now and ready for a card base.

I had a fun time creating this card and

Inky Paw's Challenge 154 - Use Stripes

 Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

For my take on the challenge, I went a bit outside of the box.

I made underwater stripes!

This is way easier than you think.

I used the Hills and Grass Stencil and

Prize Ribbon, Salty Ocean, and Salvage Patina Distress Ink.

Stencil are so much fun! I just love to sit down and ink them in

different ways to see what I can come up with.

I started at the top of my card front using Prize Ribbon.

Please note: I was not paying attention and started by using the stencil upside down.

Not wanting to start over I just rolled with it.

Once that section was inked, I used Salty Ocean ink to clean up the edges.

Next , I flipped the stencil over to cover up what I inked and create the white layer.

Another note: I used blue tape to cover the bottom ”grass” portion of the stencil.

I inked up a small top edge of Salvage Patina then I flipped

the stencil again and inked up a bottom edge of the strip.

Flipping the stencil once more I used the Salty Ocean ink to clean up the edges of the stripe.

I repeated the process till I got to the bottom of the card front

and finished the bottom with Prize Ribbon Ink again

To Finish the card front, I sprayed water on the ink and let the ink migrate

to those great droplets of texture, we all love.

While the background was driving, I stamped and inked up my Scuba Newton Stamp Set.

I got a whole lot of blue going on, so I used colors that would stand out.

With the background now dry, my sentiments got stamped directly on.

To finish my card, I Placed Scuba Newton on the card front with fun foam,

added on some fishes and created a card base.

 

This completes my take on our stripe theme

Time to create a scene with Inky Paws Challenge #130

 

HAPPY MONDAY!

Who is ready for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!!

Check out this challenge!

With everything going on, I believe that it is important to look forward.

For me that is fall. Not only because it is my birthday time,

but fall and Halloween just make me happy

Check out my pumpkin patch!

For this card I had to create a custom card base.

I wanted plenty of space to work with for my pumpkin patch.

The final size of my card became 5 ½ x 5 ½.

Just a basic background of Distress Ink for this one.

Chose whatever colors you like.

On top of the background I created “grass” with the Land Borders Die.

On top of the die cut grass,

 I inked on MORE “grass” using the Hills & Grass Stencil.

Now to the pumpkins…

They are from the Pumpkin Latte and Harvest Tails Stamp Set.

I also have the fox and sentiment from the Harvest Tails Stamp Set.

For touch of whimsy I add on Newton from

Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set.

AND

one of the owls and branch from the

What a Hoot Stamp Set.
