In the garden with Newton IPC 126

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is a little something to inspire you.

A card by Diane Morales featuring Newton's Flower Garden by Newton's Nook Designs

I saw the Newton’s Flower Garden Stamp Set and a card jumped

right into my head for this challenge.

I used my go to die (and a favorite of all the newton designers)

The Frames and Flags Die Set to create the base of the card.

I drew a pencil line on the curved edge rectangle in the set and used

Distress Ink to ink up my “sky and ground”

I used the Fence Die Set for my background element and to hide my pencil line.

(I forgot to erase BEFORE I add on my Distress Ink)

The base of the card and background was done

Now for the stamp set.

I colored in my kitty and flowers. I used the brightest colors that I could on the flowers and butterfly. I really wanted those to items to stand out.

I also propped kitty and a flower onto foam to give the card some dimension.

My card is now done!

I hope this inspires you to create something today.

Thank You ! Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

It is my last week here at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

What a great time I have had showing you my take on the challenges.

This week is everybody’s favorite challenge.

ANYTHING GOES!

That is right, just show us what you got.

My take on the challenge is a huge THANK YOU to the Simon team.

The card base is simple, I have a basic rectangle cut from kraft cardstock.

On top of that I used the Die by Stitched Rectangle Simon Says Stamp.

I used Flowers and sentiment from the

“Thankful Flowers” Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp

My favorite three colors of Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin,

Picked Raspberry, and Twisted Citron are my color choices for my flowers.

To add a touch of whimsy to my card, I used the bees from the

Bee Yourself “Stamp Set by  Simon Says Stamp

The banner that I used for my sentiment is the “stitched banner” that is part of the

Frames and Flags Die Set by Newton’s Nook Designs.

Finishing touches include a little bit of sparkle provided by clear sequins and

A bit of dimension to the center of my flowers by using a Yellow Moonlight pen by Sakura.

Now it is your turn! What will you create?

I almost forgot the good news!!

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone!
