Inky Paw's Challenge 194 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

 Newton’s Easter Basket

Slimline Frames and Portholes Die

Fence Die

The Slimline Frames and Portholes Die is a favorite of mine and this.

die goes well with largest stamp in Newton’s Easter Basket.

I created a card base using the scalloped die from Slimline Frames

and Portholes Die and pink cardstock.

I splatted Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink on the card base to create interest on the background.

Next, I die cut two pieces of the Fence Die and glued the pieces together.

While I waited for the glue to dry on the fence I stamped, colored,

and die cut my pieces from Newton’s Easter Basket.

I made sure to create extra eggs to cover the bottom of the fence.

I also stamped my sentiment on to a slice of purple cardstock, and hand cut this into a banner.

To assemble my card, I glued the fence down first.

I added foam tape to the back of the largest image, I placed the banner behind the image,

and balanced the image in front of the fence and attached that to the card.

I added all the eggs around the bottom of the banner using foam tape.

The tweedy birds were added on next.

I completed this card by covering the image a bit of bling from a sparkle pen.

This completes my take on this challenge.

Inky Paw's Challenge 147 - Sketch Challenge

    Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Check out this amazing sketch we have for you.

Using the challenge sketch, I came up with this card.

I just love the NEW Gnome Garden Stamp Set.

What a fresh and Fun take on gnomes!

I selected the gnome holding a daisy and paired this gnome with

the Dainty Daisies Stamp Set.

The Daisy’s make the perfect background element of the sketch.

I keep the card bright and cheerful by using yellow on my daisies.

A bit of Diamond Stickles in the center of my daisies adds a touch of sparkle.

For the across element of the sketch I used the Fence Die.

To finish off my card I created a card base using some Yellow Card Stock

and the Large Scalloped rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

For a final touch I add on my colored in gnome to the front of my card with foam tape.

That completes my take on the fun sketch

Now it is your turn.

In the garden with Newton IPC 126

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Here is a little something to inspire you.

A card by Diane Morales featuring Newton's Flower Garden by Newton's Nook Designs

I saw the Newton’s Flower Garden Stamp Set and a card jumped

right into my head for this challenge.

I used my go to die (and a favorite of all the newton designers)

The Frames and Flags Die Set to create the base of the card.

I drew a pencil line on the curved edge rectangle in the set and used

Distress Ink to ink up my “sky and ground”

I used the Fence Die Set for my background element and to hide my pencil line.

(I forgot to erase BEFORE I add on my Distress Ink)

The base of the card and background was done

Now for the stamp set.

I colored in my kitty and flowers. I used the brightest colors that I could on the flowers and butterfly. I really wanted those to items to stand out.

I also propped kitty and a flower onto foam to give the card some dimension.

My card is now done!

I hope this inspires you to create something today.

Spring Time - Inky Paws Challenge 123

Hello everybody and welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!

You are going to LOVE what we have in store for you.
Spring has sprung in Texas.

MY flowers are starting to pop up everywhere.

Time in my garden has influenced my card for this challenge.

Spring Time A card by Diane Morales using the Garden Mice Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Ok…. Take a second to take it all in.

I decided not to use the challenge sketch in the literal sense,

I broke it down into elements.

I stared off with a light blue cardstock “sky”.

On top of that I have a background element of

the Fence Die Set and the Land Boarders Die Set.

The center of my grass I stamped my sentiment and heat set with white embossing powder.

For the top three elements I started with the mice from the Garden Mice Stamp Set.

With all the color going on this card I decided to keep my mouse in a neutral gray color.

For the other two elements I chose the Dainty Daisy Stamp Set.

The color choice for these daisies was pure stroke of luck!

I started to color the center of my “Dainty Daises”.

Realizing how cool it looked next to the pink flower

and what do you know…. Happy accident!!!

I also “chopped” my daisies down to fit on the card.

Once all of this was all glue down, I created a base of white cardstock and

the Large Scalloped Rectangle from the Frames and Flag Die Set to finish my card!

Now it is your turn, what will you create using the challenge sketch?

Show us using the link in the challenge sketch above.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stay well and stay crafty

Sending hugs

Diane

Boo HOO IPC 109

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paw’s Challenge!
Check out this challenge!

I love this time of year.
It’s time to transition from the spooky good fun of Halloween
 to the milder Thanksgiving holiday.
I used the BOO HOO STAMP SET and created this fun card.

Boo HOO a ard by Diane Morales | boo hoo stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs

I am totally into Distress Ink
on a background.
I blended in these three colors,
Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean,
and Tumbled Glass to create the background.
On top of the background, I used the CASCADING STARS STENCIL and these items.

I smeared the Texture Gloss on top of the stencil.
After scraping of the extra gloss off,
I sprinkled
Ranger Holographic Powder on top of that.
Remove the stencil, but
DO NOT HEAT SET!
Just let everything dry.
The results are AMAZING!

Texture and sparkle!
Adding a finishing touch, I used the
to create the grass in front of my fence.

What a fun challenge!
I hope this inspires you to create and share it with us!
Thanks for stopping by.

Have an amazing week.

Farmyard Friends IPC 96

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge!

For my second half inspiration I used the MOO and OINK Stamp Sets
and came up with this fun farmyard card!

Farmyard Friends a card by Diane Morales| Moo and Oink Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs

 I love a shaped card!
This one was so simple.
Stamp and die cut the Cow, Pig and Hay.
Color in the images using colored pencils.
Next, create a round card from whatever die or machine you have in your stash.
For my background “sky” I chose to use a light blue cardstock
that I colored in with my watercolor pencils.

I mixed the colors together with my finger and a little water.
Then, die cut out the fence from the FENCE DIE SET.
Trim down the fence to the correct size for your card.
Finally, assemble all the elements on the card and added a sentiment!

I had a great time creating this card and
I hope it inspires you to take some time
and create something fun to share!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs
Diane
