Inky Paw's Challenge 172 - Birthday Theme

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Oink Stamp Set

Bleat Stamp Set

Moo Stamp Set

Balloon Stencil

Oval Frames Die Set

Land Boarders Die Set

Using all these elements I create this fun shaped card!

To start this card I stamped, colored and die cut out the animals I was using for this card.

I also stamped colored and die cut all the extras I “thought” I was going to use.

To amp up the birthday theme, I used the balloon stencil as my background.

I love how the pink balloons look and it was so simple to do.

Light pink card stock and then inked over the balloons with a darker pink ink.

I used Picked Raspberry Distress ink and when the ink was dry,

die cut out with the oval framed Die

To have a place for my animals to stand I used the Land Boarders Die

and created a grassy area for the bottom of the card.

I added a little bit more color at the top of the Grass with Distress Ink

Using the Oval Frames Die, I created a shaped card.

After attaching my balloon background, and grass I started to layer in my animals.

Once I was satisfied with the placement, I attached all the animals on the front of the card

To finish this card, I stamped on a sentiment and added some fun birthday hats.

And that completes my take on this challenge

Now it is your turn!

Corgis and Color IPC 104

Happy Monday!
We are halfway through the current Inky Paws Challenge!
Check out these AMAZING challenge colors!

I love corgis!
I love bold colors!
Using the two I came up with this cute tag!

Corgis and Color a Tag by Diane Morales | Corgi Beach Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

This tag starts with the background.
I used the Versamark Ink and
I inked up yellow cardstock with the
“pineapple” portion of the stencil using a dauber.
I wanted to make sure I got all the details of the stencil.
Once everything was inked up, I applied clear embossing powder to
the whole image and heat set.

Next, I lined up the “crown” part of the stencil and repeated the process.
Now that I had my background, I turned my attention to the rest of the tag.
First, I selected my image from the CORGI BEACH STAMP SET.
Using The challenge colors, I colored in my image.
Not wanting to add another color to the tag,
I used the LAND BOARDERS DIE SET and teal cardstock to create my grass.

Since I have A LOT! of color on this tag, I kept the
background behind the corgi simple.
To add a finishing touch, I used the one of the flags from the
FRAME AND FLAG DIE SET, orange cardstock
and a sentiment from the OINK STAMP SET.
I also added some orange and white twine to the top of the tag.
I had a fun time creating this tag and I hope this
inspire you to have some fun and share your creation
with us using the link in the challenge picture above.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great week.

These Lttle Piggies IPC 98

Welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge.
Check out this AMAZING sketch we have for you!

I can’t wait to see how everyone interprets this sketch!
As for me, staring at the sketch, while sipping a cup of coffee, I came up with this idea!

My card features the OINK STAMP SET.
This stamp set has such a playful nature and I wanted
to make sure that it came through in my card.
For my background element, I chose to use bold geometric paper.
This makes the background stand out a bit from all that is
going on in the front element of the card.

The front element is basic square dies that I die cut out and embossed
with the ARGYLE STENCIL SET and a rubber embossing mat using my Cuttlebug.
As you can see, I colored my piggy’s in the classic pink color, with
a bright green bow to bring your attention to the front element.
For a finishing touch, I added grass from the MOO STAMP SET
and my sentiment!

As I said above, I CAN’T WAIT to see how everyone interprets this sketch!
So…don’t be shy, just dive in and share your creations with us using
the link in the challenge picture above.

I hope you have a wonderful week.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs

Farmyard Friends IPC 96

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge!

For my second half inspiration I used the MOO and OINK Stamp Sets
and came up with this fun farmyard card!

Farmyard Friends a card by Diane Morales| Moo and Oink Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs

 I love a shaped card!
This one was so simple.
Stamp and die cut the Cow, Pig and Hay.
Color in the images using colored pencils.
Next, create a round card from whatever die or machine you have in your stash.
For my background “sky” I chose to use a light blue cardstock
that I colored in with my watercolor pencils.

I mixed the colors together with my finger and a little water.
Then, die cut out the fence from the FENCE DIE SET.
Trim down the fence to the correct size for your card.
Finally, assemble all the elements on the card and added a sentiment!

I had a great time creating this card and
I hope it inspires you to take some time
and create something fun to share!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs
