What's the Scoop! IPC 77

Hello everybody!
We are halfway through the current Inky Paws Challenge.
Checkout this sketch challenge!

Since it is still blazing hot here in California, I decided to cool down with a treat.

What's the Scoop! a card by Diane Morales| Summer Scoops Stamp Set by Newton Nook Designs

In case you weren't aware the Summer Scoops Stamp Set now has coordinating dies.
I was so excited when I found out about this, I really love the stamp set.
For my inspiration I chose to stay within sherbet ice cream colors.
Just a clean and simple idea to match the sketch.

The background for this card is Bubblegum Pink and Funky Fuchsia
Dylusions Ink Spray that is spritzed onto white cardstock paper.
When that was dry, I used some old Spellbinder Dies that I had in my stash
and just created multiple layers with white cardstock on the bottom.
I then grabbed my stamp set and stamped out
the sundae and colored that staying with sherbet colors.
When I preassembled the card, I decided that all that white background
was just a little too plain, this was quickly fixed creating a background
using Versamark Ink and Tumbling Heart Stencil and clear embossing powder.
With that white background looking much better I just assembled my card layers.

The background element of the sketch I chose to put my sentiment, using white cardstock
and one of the smaller stamps from the set, that is Versamark stamped
and heat set with clear embossing powder.
On top of that I added my Sundae on with a double layer of foam tape.

Now it is your turn! Show us how you get your PAWS INKY by linking up using
the inspiration picture above and don’t forget
to check all the other projects from the other designers on the team.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs

Cheers! IPC 77

Hey everybody!
Coming to you today with some new inspiration for the current
Inky Paws Challenge!
Check out the sketch we have for you.

Since it's been hot as blazes in California, I can think
of nothing better than a nice cool drink.
From that thought and the inspiration sketch,
I came up with this card.
Cheers! a card by Diane Morales| Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

Using the Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set. I started by creating the background.
Using Versamark Ink, I stamp my images onto white cardstock.
I heat set those images with clear embossing powder.
Then, I applied Distress Ink using a tropical colors pallet all over the stamped images.
This is the fun part because there's no right or wrong way to do it!
Just apply ink over the top of the Versa marked stamped image
until you feel like you've reached the look that you are going for.
When you’re done applying your ink just take a paper towel or a cotton cloth
and rub all the extra ink off so that the stamped image appears.

Next, I stamped out my images for the drinks, I colored those images
in matching the bright tropical colors in the background.
I was having trouble deciding to what to put in the background element of the sketch, because I thought the background came out kind of cool looking and did not want to cover it up.
I decided to grab some vellum and use that as the background element.
I like the way you can see through the velum and I think it adds
kind of a cooling effect to the bright colors.
To that I added a strip of blue washi tape to match the blue Hawaiian drink I created.
To creating the forward-facing element on the sketch, I used the “cheers” stamp from the stamp set and my Versamark Ink. I stamp on a rectangle of white cardstock.
I heat set the images with clear embossing powder. I added the sentiment on the top and then added my drinks on top popping them up with foam tape
and added the “cheers” sentiment, which I also popped up with foam tape.

Now that my card is done, it is time for you to show us your cards and projects.
Use the challenge picture above to link up your projects.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of YOU IPC 76

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge.

Check out these fun summer colors for you to work with.

Here is my take on the challenge picture.

Thinking of You a card by Diane Morales | Peony Blooms Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

The start of this card is the background which features
the Bubble Stencil that is embossed on vellum.

On top of that, is placed the larger Blooms from the Peonies Bloom Stamp Set,
This is minimally colored in just using accents of gray to make the white pop.
The leaves on the flowers are colored in using Twisted Citron Distress Ink.
For the red, I grabbed my Red Berry Nuvo drops and just added dots to the center.

I'm a HUGE fan of this Stamp Set I love the way that the flowers
look when they're on a card, and this set is awesome backgrounds as well.
Finally, I attached the sentiment to the front of the card using one
of the banners from the Frames and Flages Die set, that I cut the edges off.
Use the challenge picture above to link your projects.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that this encourages you to get YOUR PAWS INKY!

Have an awesome week!

Let's Scoot! IPC 76

HAPPY MONDAY!

Welcome to a NEW Inky Paws challenge!
This is my favorite kind of challenge!
Check out these colors!

Okay, so you seen the colors and the challenge picture.
The first thing that comes to mind something fruity of course but let's switch that up a bit.

Let's Scoot! a card by Diane Morales| Newton Scoots By Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I chose to use the challenge colors kind of hidden.
This is the “Newton’s Scoots By” Stamp Set. Can you find the colors?
Starting with a green of course Newton would have a Newton's Nook Green scooter.
The red is on Newton’s scarf and the black is on his wheels and sentiment.
The background is the new “Serene Stripes” stencil.
For this background when we grabbed some Ranger Texture paste
and spackled up the background creating texture.

If you have not purchase this stencil, I highly recommended it,
I have not been able to put this one down!

I hope this inspires you to get out your favorite
Newton's Nook Stamp Set and get your Paws Inky.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have an amazing week!

Farmyard Friends Birthday Tag IPC 75

Hello everyone!
Welcome to the second half of our current Inky Paws Challenge.
In case you missed the first half here's the challenge!

I had so much fun with my first set of tags that a decided to create a second set.
These tags feature the Farmyard Friends Stamp Set.

Farmyard Friends a Tag by Diane Morales | Farmyard Friends Stamp Set by Newton Nook Designs

Let me tell you how I created these tags.
It all starts with the Balloon Shaker Die Set.
Just die-cut out the balloon shapes out of your favorite
background paper that can hold a lot of ink.
I wanted to create a standard sky and grass background, but I didn't want to be too literal.
So, I went with a with a heavy amount of Salty Ocean Distress Ink for the sky
and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink for the ground.
I applied a large amount of both colors to my paper.
Then with a wet makeup sponge, I just started dabbing the ink off
till I got the desired texture I liked to create the backgrounds.

While the balloon backgrounds were drying, I stamped out the images that I wanted from the Farmyard Friends Stamp Set and colored those in, and then fussy cut the images out.
Attach the images to the top of the balloon tags using foam tape to pop everything up.
Next, I stamped my sentiment ON my balloon tag.
I also stamped the secondary sentiment onto white cardstock
cut the sentiments out and attached it to my balloon tag.
Punching a hole on the top and adding twine was the final part.
Now it is your turn!
Show us how you get your PAWS INKY using your favorite cute animal Stamp Set from
Newton’s Nook Design and make sure you link your project using the challenge picture above.
