Spring Time - Inky Paws Challenge 123

Hello everybody and welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!

You are going to LOVE what we have in store for you.
Spring has sprung in Texas.

MY flowers are starting to pop up everywhere.

Time in my garden has influenced my card for this challenge.

Spring Time A card by Diane Morales using the Garden Mice Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Ok…. Take a second to take it all in.

I decided not to use the challenge sketch in the literal sense,

I broke it down into elements.

I stared off with a light blue cardstock “sky”.

On top of that I have a background element of

the Fence Die Set and the Land Boarders Die Set.

The center of my grass I stamped my sentiment and heat set with white embossing powder.

For the top three elements I started with the mice from the Garden Mice Stamp Set.

With all the color going on this card I decided to keep my mouse in a neutral gray color.

For the other two elements I chose the Dainty Daisy Stamp Set.

The color choice for these daisies was pure stroke of luck!

I started to color the center of my “Dainty Daises”.

Realizing how cool it looked next to the pink flower

and what do you know…. Happy accident!!!

I also “chopped” my daisies down to fit on the card.

Once all of this was all glue down, I created a base of white cardstock and

the Large Scalloped Rectangle from the Frames and Flag Die Set to finish my card!

Now it is your turn, what will you create using the challenge sketch?

Show us using the link in the challenge sketch above.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stay well and stay crafty

Sending hugs

Diane

Let’s break down the elements of this project.

I used Versamark and clear embossing powder to create my clouds.
After the clouds are heat set and cooled,
I added A LOT of Salty Ocean Distress Ink
over the top, blending in my ink till I got the layers just right.
My card base also features the CLOUDY SKY STENCIL,
which is embossed onto white cardstock.

Have a Mice Day IPC 95

Time for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!

We have a such fun sketch for you to play with.
OK… full disclosure. I did have to stare at this sketch
for a while to figure out how to work with it.

Have a Mice Day a card by Diane Morales | Garden Mice Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Deisgns

I stamped out and colorized the mouse from the Garden Mice Stamp Set.
That is when the whole card came together.
I love the way the flower color came out, so I decided to
base my colors for this project on this flower.
I went into the paper stash came out with this amazing patterned paper for the background.
I also matched burnt orange and sand colored cardstock to go with the patterned paper.
With the paper choices made, it was all about the assembly.
The sand colored cardstock was cut out using the
Large Postage Edge Rectangle from the Frameworks Die Set
The inside element printed paper was die cut from the Curved Edge Rectangle
Burnt orange cardstock became the across element behind the banner.
The main element is piece of white cardstock that is hand cut into a banner.
When I assembled the whole card, I thought the white banner
was just… plain!
Then I noticed the flowers on the printed paper closely matched
the flowers on the Bold Blooms Stencil.
I ran the banner and stencil thru my die cut machine using
my embossing pad and was very happy with the results!

For a final touch, I added twine and a tag with my sentiment to the top of the banner.

I had a blast figuring out all the different elements of the card.
I am SUPER excited to see what everyone is going to create with this sketch.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great week.

Mice of You IPC 94

HELLO EVERYBODY!
We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge.
We have some AMAZING colors for you to work with!

Keeping it simple this round.
Using the NEW Garden Mice Stamp Set!

Mice of You a card by Diane Morales| Garden Mice Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Deisgns

As always, lets start with the background.
Using the Bokeh Stencil I inked up some white card stock with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink.
I started very light with the ink and worked my way up to the color that I wanted.
I taped off a portion on my stencil with blue tape and added in my blue circle strategically where I wanted them using Broken Glass Distress Ink.

Next, I stamped and colored my mouse, making sure that
the pink in the flower stood out against my background.
While my image was drying, I die cut out my background using
the Scalloped Edge Die from the Framework Die Set
and attached this to a card base.

I attached my mouse the the front of my card using
foam tape and created a sentiment banner using the small banner

This is MY take on this fun color challenge!
Now it is your turn, what will you create?
Use the link in the challenge picture above to show us.

Thanks so much for dropping by.
HUGS
 Diane.
