Leftover Pieces make a Holiday Tag

Hello and Welcome

This project is perfect for a cold chilly day in Portland.

Created with end of the year scraps, this tag came out super cute!

 For this project I used

Santa Paws Newton

Holiday Foliage Hot Foil Plate

Labels Hot Foil Plate

Bookmark 2 Die

Every year about this time I go through the pile of scraps in my leftover basket.

These scraps are remnants from projects, or ideas that just did not work out.

The goal is to use up as many of these pieces as I can to create a card or tag.

It is always fun to see how I can breathe new life into all these leftover pieces.

To see ideas for projects I did not see previously.

As I spread all the pieces across my desk, I noticed a few things that might go together.

The tag I had created earlier using the Holiday Foliage Hot Foil Plate

this is white foil heat set on to Navy card stock.

A leftover foiled gold foiled hot foiled label.

A Santa Newton image die cut and already colored.

All these items spurred the completion of one great tag!

After I added a bit of glitter to the Santa Newton piece and

a sentiment on the gold label, I glued everything down.

I added gold ribbon to the top and a couple of gold bobbles, this tag was done.

All these items were destined for recycling now are a fun holiday tag!!!

Hope this encourages you to dig around your scrap bins and see what you can produce.

 Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day

 Stay crafty my friends!

I used the Labels Hot Foil Plate And Dies as a feature

area for the new Holiday Elements Stamp Set.

Using the Fancy Edges Tag Set  I was able to create a quick tag.

This tag uses spent white foil that is glued onto pink card stock.

Day 1 - Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Release

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

For the FIRST day of our September Release

We have FIVE amazing products for you to get your paw’s inky with!

Halloween Apothecary,

 Labels Hot Foil Plate

 Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates,

 Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate

Halloween Time Paper Pad

Are you ready for some Halloween fun?

Using the Halloween Apothecary, Labels Hot Foil Plate

I created these cute shaker tags!

I started this project with help from The Jar Hot Foil Plate And Die.

I used white foil with black paper and white foil with black paper.

I placed the smallest stitched Oval from the Oval Frames Die Set
in the center of the jar and then I used the Jar die cut to cut each of the jars out.

Using the jar die I also cut out a piece of clear acetate

and an extra piece 110lb of cardstock for the back of the tag for each tag

I assembled the tag with the tag front first, acetate, a double stack of foam tape,

custom mix of sequins for each tag, and the back of the tag with twine attached.

For the labels I used the

NEW Labels Hot Foil Plate

I started by foiling all my labels using gold prism foil and Labels Hot Foil Plate.

After die cutting out my labels using the dies that come

with the hot foil plates, I was ready to stamp.

Halloween Apothecary made it so easy to just add the cuteness to each jar.

For the black label I went a bit extra using white and red embossing powder.

I absolutely love the way these jars came out!

Our next new item is a must have!

Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate

And

Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates,

Using these cute new items, I created this card!

For this card I wanted to keep thing CAS (clean and simple)

This is the perfect card to try if you NEW to hot foiling.

Using my Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate and fuchsia flower foil

I created the spider web on a piece of cardstock.

I also used black foil and foiled out a couple of spiders.

I used curved edge rectangle from my favorite die, Frames and Flags Die Set.

I lined up the spiderweb I created to be on the inside of the stitched line and die cut out the piece.

Next, I created a card base with the large Scalloped Rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

I attached the spider web piece to the card base.

I fussy cut out the spiders and added them to the front of my card.

A banner was created by using the Banner Duo Die Set and

NEW Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.

Once the banner was on the front of the card, I added

on a few white gems and black Nuvo drops to the spiders to add texture.

Our final NEW addition is so much fun!

Halloween Time Paper Pad

This NEW paper pad goes well with the NEW and current Newton’s Nook Halloween designs.

Here is how I used mine.

I created a simple shaped card using the

Halloween Time Paper Pad

and

the Oval Frames Die Set.

I created a double layer banner using the

NEW Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.

Banner Duo Die

And

Banner Trio Die
