Spooktastic Good Card

Hello Newton Fans!

Today I am sharing this SPOOKTASTIC fun card!

This card is effortless to make and features the NEW Card Layout 5 Die.

To get started on this card I decided on Black card stock to be the base of this card.

Using Card Layout 5 Die, I passed the black cardstock through the

cutting machine and created the borders. I also created a card base.

the bat paper from the Halloween Time Paper Pad was chosen to be my insert paper.

I cut this paper out using Card Layout 5 Die and then started gluing in all the pieces.

With the card front complete, I placed the card front aside with

a stamping brick on top to set up the glue.

Next, I die cut out the Haunted House Die out of black cardstock.

In the Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp Set there is a spider web.

I use this stamp to place some web detail on the front of the house.

A simple trick of cutting out pieces of yellow card stock and

gluing them to the back of the house makes the windows look spooky.

To create a feature space for the haunted house I decided white card stock and

the smaller scalloped Oval from the Oval Frames Die Set.

The spooky greetings stamp from Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp is stamped

onto orange card stock, heat embossed and then die cut out.

Assembling this card is super easy!

I glued down my Oval card stock first.

Then added my Haunted House on top attached with foam tape.

The spooky greeting sentiment is also added on with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stay crafty everyone!

Broom and Boos for October

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

It is my birthday month!

and ....

I have a fun birthday card to share with you using the Halloween Time Paper Pad.

I just love the sheet of paper with the eyeballs.

The perfect match for this paper is the Brooms and Boos Stamp set!

I started out with a gray card base.

Next, a two-inch strip of eyeball paper was glued onto the card front.

Coloring my image was next.

I am not the best at coloring so kept things simple

by using the colors on the eyeball paper as a guide.

I used a shimmer pen to add some bling to the “liquid” of the martini.

The stitched oval from the Oval Frames Die Set makes a great feature area

for my sentiment and image.

I simply attached to the oval to the front of the card and then my image on top with foam tape,

Finally, I used the stars in the stamp set to add interest

in the blank corners of my card and by the sentiment.

As always, a bit of bling with tiny green gems completes this card.

September Feature - Halloween Pile Slimline

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Coming to you today with fun fall inspiration Using the NEW Halloween Time 6x6 Paper Pad.

As I was flipping through the paper pad, I came upon the spiders and the diagonal page.

Thought to myself “those spiders would make a fun creepy background”.

I wanted this to be a large background, so I chose the Scalloped Edge from the

Slimline Frames and Portholes Die to be my card base and front.

I sliced of a 2 1/2-inch portion of the paper, and then trimmed my paper down

to fit inside of the scalloped slimline.

I then trimmed the paper diagonally between the spiders.

I dry fit everything on the front of my card to make sure everything fit nice and clean, and

spaced out my strips and left a bit of black showing to add interest to the background.

I inked all my edges with Black Soot Distress Ink before placing the pieces on the card front.

My stamp of choice is Halloween Pile.

Stamping, coloring, and die cutting my image came next.

I used the small, scalloped oval from the Oval Frames Die Set as a place to put my image.

The banner die that is in the Slimline Frames and Window Die was placed in the upper right

corner with my sentiment. To finish the card, I stamped a bunch of bats from Halloween Pile.

I covered the bats with black glitter embossing powder and heat set.

Once the bats were dry, I added them to the front of my card.

Hope you enjoyed my Halloween slimline card.

Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Halloween Apothecary,

 Labels Hot Foil Plate

 Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates,

 Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate

Halloween Time Paper Pad

Are you ready for some Halloween fun?

Using the Halloween Apothecary, Labels Hot Foil Plate

I created these cute shaker tags!

I started this project with help from The Jar Hot Foil Plate And Die.

I used white foil with black paper and white foil with black paper.

I placed the smallest stitched Oval from the Oval Frames Die Set
in the center of the jar and then I used the Jar die cut to cut each of the jars out.

Using the jar die I also cut out a piece of clear acetate

and an extra piece 110lb of cardstock for the back of the tag for each tag

I assembled the tag with the tag front first, acetate, a double stack of foam tape,

custom mix of sequins for each tag, and the back of the tag with twine attached.

For the labels I used the

NEW Labels Hot Foil Plate

I started by foiling all my labels using gold prism foil and Labels Hot Foil Plate.

After die cutting out my labels using the dies that come

with the hot foil plates, I was ready to stamp.

Halloween Apothecary made it so easy to just add the cuteness to each jar.

For the black label I went a bit extra using white and red embossing powder.

I absolutely love the way these jars came out!

Our next new item is a must have!

Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate

And

Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates,

Using these cute new items, I created this card!

For this card I wanted to keep thing CAS (clean and simple)

This is the perfect card to try if you NEW to hot foiling.

Using my Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate and fuchsia flower foil

I created the spider web on a piece of cardstock.

I also used black foil and foiled out a couple of spiders.

I used curved edge rectangle from my favorite die, Frames and Flags Die Set.

I lined up the spiderweb I created to be on the inside of the stitched line and die cut out the piece.

Next, I created a card base with the large Scalloped Rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

I attached the spider web piece to the card base.

I fussy cut out the spiders and added them to the front of my card.

A banner was created by using the Banner Duo Die Set and

NEW Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.

Once the banner was on the front of the card, I added

on a few white gems and black Nuvo drops to the spiders to add texture.

Our final NEW addition is so much fun!

Halloween Time Paper Pad

This NEW paper pad goes well with the NEW and current Newton’s Nook Halloween designs.

Here is how I used mine.

I created a simple shaped card using the

Halloween Time Paper Pad

and

the Oval Frames Die Set.

I created a double layer banner using the

NEW Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.

Banner Duo Die

And
