Leftover Pieces make a Holiday Tag

Hello and Welcome

This project is perfect for a cold chilly day in Portland.

Created with end of the year scraps, this tag came out super cute!

 For this project I used

Santa Paws Newton

Holiday Foliage Hot Foil Plate

Labels Hot Foil Plate

Bookmark 2 Die

Every year about this time I go through the pile of scraps in my leftover basket.

These scraps are remnants from projects, or ideas that just did not work out.

The goal is to use up as many of these pieces as I can to create a card or tag.

It is always fun to see how I can breathe new life into all these leftover pieces.

To see ideas for projects I did not see previously.

As I spread all the pieces across my desk, I noticed a few things that might go together.

The tag I had created earlier using the Holiday Foliage Hot Foil Plate

this is white foil heat set on to Navy card stock.

A leftover foiled gold foiled hot foiled label.

A Santa Newton image die cut and already colored.

All these items spurred the completion of one great tag!

After I added a bit of glitter to the Santa Newton piece and

a sentiment on the gold label, I glued everything down.

I added gold ribbon to the top and a couple of gold bobbles, this tag was done.

All these items were destined for recycling now are a fun holiday tag!!!

Hope this encourages you to dig around your scrap bins and see what you can produce.

 Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day

 Stay crafty my friends!

Inky Paw's Challenge 188 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Santa Paw’s Newton

A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad

 Frames Square Die

Snow Globe Shaker Die

Hello everyone!

I stared this card by making a card base using the Frames Square Die and Kraft cardstock.

For the teal part of the challenge colors, I went looking thru my stacks of Newtons Nook paper

and came across the paws and heart paper from A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad.

I die cut the paper down and placed it on the front of my card.

Next, I stamped, die cut and colored the images from Santa Paw’s Newton.

I knew that I wanted to make silver snowflakes for the front of the card.

I found the perfect snowflakes in the Snow Globe Shaker Die.

I used the snow globe as a place for my sentiment.

With all the components complete, I stared layering

everything on the front of the card.

I used a clear sparkle pen to add a bit of shimmer to the elements on the card.

To finish this card, I added on my silver snowflakes

and for a little extra bling I added some gems.

This completes my take on this challenge.

I Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paws Challenge - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

We have lovely holiday colors for you to work with.

Here is my take on the challenge.

Since it is the official start of the holiday season I though that

Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set was purr-fect for my card.

I started my card with a background made of the Reindeer Stencil,

Versamark Ink, and clear embossing powder on Kraft Card stock.

Once all of that was dry and cool to the touch, I die cut

this background out using the Large Postage Edge Rectangle

 from the Frameworks Die Set.

Next, I stamped, and die cut out my images and

colored them in using the challenge colors.

I stamped my sentiment on the Small Scalloped Circle

from the Circle Frames Die.

To finish my card, I added Santa Newton to my

scalloped circle on the front of my card.

That completes my take on this challenge.

So excited to see what everyone creates.

Three Tags and Santa Paws IPC 85

Welcome to the second half of the current Inky Paws Challenge.
We have some great colors for you to work with.

My inspiration for this challenge is not one, not two, BUT three tags!

Three Tags and Santa Paws a set of Tags by Diane Morales | Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

The first box features the round tag from the Tags Times Two Die Set
and just a portion of one of the stamped images
from the Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set.
 that I colored in.

A super easy one to do if you need a quick gift.
The second tag features the square tag from the Tags Times Two Die Set.
The background of this tag starts with the Serene Stripes Stencil
and texture paste that creates a nice backround for the tag.

The mouse, sentiments, and “presents” come from the Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set.
These images are simply colored in, die cut out and attached to the tag.
For a little bit of Flair, I outlined the bow on the top of the presents with gold pen.
The third box is my favorite.

I created a plain white box using a box punch.
Once I was done, I stamped the Newton Santa and mouse image from
the Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set.
I colored that in using Distress Ink and accented this with glossy accent.
The tag on top was created by using trees from the Festive Forest Stamp Set
and the North Pole image from the Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set.
I stamped, and die cut out two trees and glued those together.

To the top of this, I added the North Pole image that was colored in and die cut out.

I hope my tags inspire you to create some tags of your own and
share them with us at the Inky Paws Challenge.
I hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
