Cats and Coffee

Hello Everyone!

I hope the day is treating you well.

I have a fun card to share with you here on the blog!

For this card I used

Caffeinated cats

 Time for Coffee (sentiment)

Bright Basics Paper Pad

Frames and Flags Die Set

Basic Frames Die Set

Banner Duo Die Set

Cats and coffee my two of my favorite things!

I started this card with the Bright Basics Paper Pad

I selected the blue card stock with white hearts.

Since this stamp is going to take up most of the card front,

I just wanted a hint of something cute in the background.

I cut out the card stock with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Basic Frames Die Set.

I also used white card stock to cut out the largest scalloped

rectangle die from The Frames and Flags Die Set.

These two dies fit perfectly together and make the cutest card front !

I created a card base using matching cardstock and then layered my two die cut layers on top.

I then stamped out Caffeinated Cats.

I chose my favorite bold Marker colors and colored in the image.

I just love these large stamps; it is so therapeutic to color everything in.

Once my coloring was done, I fussy cut out the image leaving a slight border.

Then I placed foam tape on the back of my cut-out image and attached it to the front of my card.

I created a banner from the Banner Duo Die Set using some white card stock.

My sentiment comes from the Time For Coffee Stamp Set.

I finished this card by adding a bit of sparkle pen over the top of the image.

I hope you get to try this card for yourself!

 Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day!

Stay crafty my friends!

Keep Growing

So excited to share this fun card with you today

For the Newton’s Nook Blog.

For this card I used

Floral Delights

Bright Basics 6x6 Paper Pad

Basic Frames Die Set

Circle Friends Die Set

When I first saw the Basic Frames Die Set, I knew that the

banner in this die set would be perfect for a shaped card!

To start this card, I created a card base using red card stock and the banner die.

Once all the pieces of the card base were cut out, I cut out a card front using the

red gingham card stock from the Bright Basic 6 x 6 Paper Pad.

I glued all the pieces together to create my card and then got to work on coloring my flowers.

I stamped out the daisies from the Floral Delights Stamp Set.

I wanted bright bold colors, so I chose to color my daisies yellow with an orange center.

I also stamped out a few of the bees to put on my card as well.

To create a place for my sentiment, I used the stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die Set.

I started my assembly of the card by first gluing down my circle with the sentiment.

Next, I glued down my daisies, attaching them to the card with foam tape.

For a final touch I added my bees, and some of my favorite white enamel dots.

This was such a fun and easy card!

I hope you get to try this card for yourself!

Hope you have an awesome day

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Bubble Tea

Hello Everybody!

We are on the fourth day of our new release!

These two new sets will bring some tea-rrific joy to your life.

1st for the cat lovers

  Newton’s Bubble Tea

For the dog lovers

Puppy’s Bubble Tea Stamp

Using these stamp sets I created two cards.

Newton’s Bubble Tea I started my card by using the teal

heart paper from the Pastel Basics 6 X 6 Paper Pad.

I cut out a 2 1/4 by 5 strip of paper and glued it to the front of a standard size teal card.

Next, I use the banner die from the Basic Frames Die Set.

I die cut this out with white card stock.

I stamped my sentiment directly to this banner using a sentiment from the stamp set.

The banner is glued directly to the front of the card.

Next, I stamped my images from Newton’s Bubble Tea and colored them in.

I used my favorite ube bubble tea as reference.

Once I was finished, I die cut out my images using

the coordinating dies and adhered them to my banner with foam tape.

A few hearts from the stamp set and a couple of matching enamel dots complete this card.

For the Puppy Bubble Tea Stamp Set I created a card base that will

fit the Frames and Tags Die Set.

I cut out the frames and tags die set from white card stock first.

For my second pass I used the purple striped card sock from the Bright Basics 6 x 6 Paper Pad.

I assembled everything on top of a second piece of card stock

and then glued this to the front of my card.

I stamped and colored the images from Puppy’s Bubble Tea Stamp using Thai tea as a reference.

I die cut my images using the coordinating dies and added them to the front of my card with foam tape.

To finish this card, I stamped, colored and die cut some of the hearts that

are included and added those to the front of the card.

This concludes my take on these fun bubble themed products!

This and all the other new products will be available on Friday April 19th.

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - So Many Books

Hello Everybody!

Today we celebrate the first day of our new Release!

We are featuring not one but 2 new items for you!

  Never Enough Books Stamp Set

AND

Bookmark II Die Set

First up the Never Enough Books Stamp Set.

Using this stamp set I created this card.

To start this card, I created a card make with Neena Desert Storm Cardstock.

To the front of this card, I added a rectangle of

2 x 4 ½ yellow plaid cardstock from the Bright Basics Paper Pad.

Next, I stamped my images from Never Enough Books Stamp Set.

Once everything was colored in, I decided on the placement of my shelves.

Also, where to place the sentiment banner?

That is when I came up with the idea to place the banner behind my books.

I trimmed the banner slightly and glued the banner flat on the front of the cardstock.

I used foam tape to give the shelves dimension and placed them on top of the banner

To finish this card, I added a couple of matching enamel dots.

For the Bookmark II Die Set

Here is my take.

I grabbed my container of scrap paper and stared making

a whole bunch of books using the Die that comes with this bookmark.

I placed the books aside to dry and started to create the tag.

I used the red plaid paper from Bright Basics 6x6 Paper Pad

and white card stock to create the front and back of the tag.

I also die cute the small, scalloped oval from the Oval Framed Die Set.

I glued the pieces of the tag together and added the oval to the front.

Next, I chose 5 books from the pile that I had made and glued them on the front.

To complete this tag, a simple sentiment banner and some black and white twine.

This concludes my take on these fun book themed products!

This and all the other new products will be available on Friday April 19th.

Newton's Nook Designs Back to Basics - Basic Frames Die Set

Hello Everybody!

It is day two of our New Release!

Today we have the

Basic Frames Die Set

If you are new to cardmaking this set will give you plenty of options!

Today I used the largest of the stitched rectangle dies.

I started with the Bright Basic 6x6 Paper Pad.

Chose my color of polka dotted paper and cut the paper into ½ strips.

I glued the strips onto a separate piece of white cardstock,

and laid a stamping block on to so that everything would dry flat.

When the paper piece was dry, I used the largest of

The stitched rectangles to die cut out my card front.

Next, I used basic white cardstock to create a card base.

The image on the card is the NEW Newton’s Bright Birthday Set.

I colored the stamp with the same bright colors that are on the background.

I used one of the smaller stitched rectangles in Basic Frames Die Set as a place for my sentiment.

To assemble my card, I glued down my sentiment rectangle on my card front first.

Then I add my image on the front using lots of foam tape to add dimensions.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the fun latest items that we have on this release.

This and all the other fun new items are available March 22nd.
