Newton’s Nook Designs Falloween Release! - Day One

 Welcome Newton Nook Fans

Happy Falloween!

To celebrate the best time of the year we have some

amazing NEW products for you to create with.

 

I was super inspired by these new stamps and paper.

Unfortunately I had not received the dies for this first day of the release yet.

You will see these dies on my second day projects.

Instead I used a variety of some of my favorite Newton’s Nook Dies

Hexagon Frames Die Set

Basic Frames Die Set

Frames and Tags Die Set

Fancy Edges Tag DieSet

along with the NEW  Autumn Cats and Autumn Dogs Stamp Sets.

Taking color inspiration from the Autumn Leaves Paper Pad,  I just stared creating.

The result was a collection of pretty awesome fall cards and tags—if I do say so myself.

Each one is unique and bursting with fall colors.

Newton’s Nook Designs 13th Birthday Celebration!

Welcome Newton Nook Fans

We are celebrating a VERY special birthday today.

Newton’s Nook Designs is turning 13!!!!

In honor of this very special occasion we have for you a NEW stamp scet.

Using Hula Hoop Newton I created this card.

This stamp set just inspires joy!

For the card I definitely wanted to use all the fun colors.

Starting out with some paper from Birthday Meows 6x6 Paper Pad

This striped paper creates a fun and colorful background.

Next, I created a frame using the Frames and Tags Die Set and white card stock.

I added silver watercolor Splats to the frame and placed on the front of my card.

I use matching polka dotted paper from Birthday Meows 6x6 Paper Pad for the smaller windows.

For the larger window on the frame, I created a park scene using

Broken China Distress Ink for the sky, and Twisted Citron Distress Ink for the grass.

I inked up the panel using the ¾ to ¼ ratio.

After the panel was dry, I added it into the larger window.

Next, I stamped and colored out the images from Hula Hoop Newton

I cut out my image using the coordinating die for the stamp set.

This is added to the front of the card with foam tape.

I Created a sentiment by using the Smallest rectangle from the Basic Frames Die Set.

This die fits the smaller sentiments in Hula Hoop Newton stamp set perfectly.

The final touch for this card is tucking my balloons behind my sentiment.

I also add Stardust Stickles to the hula hoop and ballons to add some bling!

Snowy Snowman Card

 

Hello Newton Fans! 

 Here today on the blog sharing a fun winter card with you.

I started this card by selecting one of the sheets of the Falling Snow Towner Card Fronts.

Ater running the snowflakes sheet thru my foiling machine, using silver foil,

what was left is a beautifully foiled card front.

The next step is to create a card base and front.

I did this by using the Frames and Tags Die Set.

I die cut out my toner card and my card base with this die to create a shaped card.

The stamp set of choice for this card is Snowman Greetings.

I colored my stamp in and added a sentiment to the wood panel.

Thie vintage vibes of the stamp goes awesome with the background snowflakes!

To create a place for my snowman to sit on the card

I die cut an Oval from the Oval Frames Die Set.

This oval is die cut out of velum and then I used my white paint pen to add a bit of “snow.”

My card is now ready for assembly.

I attached the snowman to the front of the oval first with foam tape.

Next, I attached the oval to the front of the card with glue.

Once everything is placed correctly, I finished the card by adding puffy embossing powder

by Ranger to the snowy area above the sign.

Newton's Nook Designs Christmas Release

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

 I am so excited to share FOUR NEW products coming
 to you just in time for holiday card making.

First off, we have the Essential Tags Die Set.

Combining this with the Christmas Party Paper Pad is going to make some awesome tags!

I die cut this out this tag using the Essential Tags Die Set

After the tag was die cut, I ran a Gray marker around the edge just to give the tag a bit of dimension.

I dotted each light with a bit of Glossy Accents to give the lights shinny holiday flair.

To add some shimmer, I used Crystal Stickles and added a little glitter in the loops of the wire.

As the tag was drying, I created a sentiment place by using

the Smallest rectangle from the Basic Frames Die Set.

The Christmas Greeting Stamp Set is going to be your go to for the Holidays!

The “joyful christmas greeting” sentiment fits perfectly in this square.

I added this to the front of my tag with foam tape.

A bit of ribbon on top completes the look.

For my next source of inspiration, I started with Frames and Tags Die Set.

I cut out my card base and then used a simple white border for my frame.

Choosing paper from Christmas Party Paper Pad I popped that into the larger frame.

For the smaller frame I just used the coordinating paper on the back.

Next, I chose my package style using the Gift Builder Die Set

These gifts were so fun to make!

I chose colors to coordinate with the rustic colors in the paper.

I did not have green glitter card stock to match those lovely rustic colors.

I ended up making my own glitter cardstock by

using Holographic Embossing Powder and green card stock.

This super cute detail ended up being the cherry on the project.

For The final panel in this card front I used a sentiment from Christmas Greeting Stamp Set.

Newton's Nook Mini Seaside Release

 

IT’S SUMMERTIME!

 

We are starting out summertime crafting with this fun NEW stamp and paper pad.

 Using our NEW products I created this card.

I am totally obsessed with the Seaside Paper Pad!

I absolutely love the colors they are perfect for summertime.

To start this card I chose the grey sand dollar paper from Seaside Paper

I created the base of the card using the scalloped from

the Circle Frames Die Set along with grey card stock.

I used a basic 3 1/2-inch circle die from my stash to make the card front.

Next, I stamped and colored the image from Newton’s Sand Dollar Stamp Set

I love that the sand dollar image is so large that you can add a bunch of fun details.

For my details I use blue and gray gel pen to add dots, I also used a bitter shimmer pen.

Once I was happy with my image I die-cut this image out and

added it to the front of my card with foam tape.

To create a place for my sentiment I use the square edge banner from The Banner Duo Die Set.

To complete this card I added on a couple of clear gems.

Super excited to show you my second card!

The idea came from the yellow the yellow glitter card stock

in the Cheerful Brights Glitter Card Stock.

This color has a sand-like quality to it.

I die cut this paper out using the Frames and Tags Die Set.

I also cut out a piece of white cardstock that I will use for backgrounds.

I glued my die cut glitter card stock to a yellow card stock base.

Two of my panels I kept white, the third panel stayed yellow glitter.

Next, I stamped and colored my image from Newton’s Sand Dollar Stamp Set

I also stamped extra seashells.

I added my image to the front of my card with foam tape.

I scattered the shells around and added them to the front of the card with foam tape.

In between the shells, I added pearls and gems to make things sparkle.

I finished this card by stamping the sentiment in the upper right panel.
