Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!
For the FIRST day of our August
Release
We have THREE amazing products
for you to get your paw’s inky with!
Here are the first two NEW
items!
AND
AUTUMN GREETINGS HOT FOIL PLATE
Using
this stamp set I created this card to share with you.
I stared with 2-inch strips of my favorite fall colors of
cardstock glued to a piece of white card stock.
Since this is going to get hot foiled, you need to use a
heat tolerant glue like
Tombow Mono Glue stick, or else your panels can become
unstuck and make
your foiling look odd and uneven.
Next, I fired up my foiling machine and foiled on my leaves
using gold foil
and the Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate.
For this next step, because I cannot cut a straight line, I
chose
to use a basic 4 x 5 ¼ rectangle die to cut out my card
front.
I created my card base the same size and attached my card
front to the base.
To create my sentiment,
I used the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil plate and
the same gold foil
that I used for the leaves on the card.
My Sentiment is foiled on to dark chocolate cardstock and
die cut out using the
The third NEW item is
perfect for Fall
FALL HARVEST STAMP SET
I was messing around with the Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate.
I was using different foil colors and foiling them onto different
card stock colors.
I decided to try Pewter foil with chocolate cardstock.
When I lifted the foil sheet up and saw the gorgeous shine,
I knew that it
would make the perfect backdrop for the Fall Harvest Stamp Set
The first thing I did was to create a card base using the Frames and Flags Die Set
using the Pewter foiling that I just created.
To break up the background a bit I used the
smaller scalloped
oval from the Oval Frames Die Set.
Next, I stamped and colored the Fall Harvest Stamp Set.
I wanted to make sure the image stood out, so I used bold
fall colors.
I also used a checkboard for the middle of my sunflowers,
to add a pop of white.
Once all my stamped images were die-cut, I created a banner,
using
one of the sentiments
from the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plate.
I used desert storm
card stock and black foil for this banner.
I die cut this banner with the Banner Duo Die Set.
Now that I have all my pieces, I assembled my card using
foam tape to pop up my images.
