Simon
Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
STAMP
IT!
Featuring stamps and dies by our
Very
Own Simon Says Stamp product.
It is also the start of STAMPtember!
A
month long celebration of all things stamping.
You
do not have to use the featured company to join in.
But…
If you have some of their product in your stash
We
would LOVE to see them used.
Here
is my take on this challenge.
Since I still have a bit of Covid brain fog my creativity is at an all-time low.
As I was cleaning up my crafty space, I came across my l
ittle basket of leftover
paper strips.
Then
the idea came that I should try and make a card with some of these strips.
Shuffling thru I found enough Fog, Smoke Gray
and Doll Pink Simon Card Stock to cover the
front.
First,
I trimmed all the strips down to ¾ wide
Second,
I used the Rectangle Basic Set by Memory Box
and
created a card front with white card stock.
Third, I laid out the strips of paper on top of the card front till I got the placement
I liked and glued everything down and trimming off the extra paper around the edges.
Now
for the nerve-racking part.
I carefully
lined up my stamp over my card front in my Misti and held my
breath
as I stamped my Sunflower.
Everything
stamped well, and I love the contrast of dark and light.
I
made sure my card front was good and dry before attaching
it
to a card base made with white cardstock.
To
finish my card, I added Silver and clear Sequins from
the Tiara Sequin Mix by Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.
A
sentiment was created by using the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sentiment Label
Stickers
that
came in the September Card Kit and fun foam to pop up the sentiment.
and
that completes my take on STAMP IT
