Itty Bitty Treats IPC 90

Welcome Everybody!

 Today starts a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!

With February just around the corner,

 we have a challenge that everybody's going to LOVE!

My sister is a teacher, and every February comes

 the call to create some cute treats for her class for Valentine's Day!

With that idea in mind I came up with these.

These treat holders look complicated, but they’re not.

Here are all the pieces that go into them.

For Each Heart:

Two cuts of the LARGE heart from the 

Darling Heart Die Set

Two cuts of the LARGE Banner from the

Frame and Flags Die Set.

Note: the banner is the base of this treat holder and does require heavyweight paper!

Also, you must use a permanent adhesive style glue such as Fabri-tac 

to make sure the seams stay together.

To Assemble:

Apply glue to the two banner pieces. 

Adhere them together and let them dry.

Apply glue to the heart using the picture below as a guide.

Make sure to keep the glue toward the edge of the heart

Adhere the heart together making sure glue does not close the top.

  If the banner pieces are dry, fold in half to create the base.

The pointed end of the banner is the front.

Attach the heart to the banner base placing the point of the heart between the two banner points.

Attach your favorite NEWTON’S NOOK stamps to the front of the heart.

Pop heart open, add some treats and make someone’s day!

               

My Newton’s Nook stamp of choice 

for this project is the 

Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set.

It is so cute and is the perfect size for these hearts.

I hope this inspires you to get to your crafty space and create some treats for friends.
