Sparkle and Shine - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Here at the

This week it is time to SPARKLE and SHINE

Featuring Products by WHIMSY STAMPS

We also are celebrating DieCember!

A month log celebration that is all about the die cutting!

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash,

we would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

Easy last minute tags are a must at my house.

These tags are so easy to create using a set of circle dies, a selection of

fun sparkly paper and a whole lot of Stickles.

For these tags I chose the to use my Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Dies.

I chose 3 sizes of outside circles and then three sizes of inside circles.

Next, I chose all the paper that I wanted to use.

I chose a good amount, so I have direct links to everything at the bottom.

For the inner circle I used Simon Says Stamp #120 white card stock.

For my image I used Holiday Postage Stamp Set by Whimsy Stamps

I also chose just to stamp my images with black and not color them in.

I just like the simplistic nature of this.

You can crank out a lot of these little tags in a short amount of time.

To add some extra sparkle, I grabbed my box of Stickles and just went for it.

For a final touch I stamped sentiments onto scrap of Simon paper,

hand cut them and added them to my tags.

I finished my tags with twine from my stash

That completes my take on SPARKLE AND SHINE

I almost forgot the good news!

Christmas Critters - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

 Here at the

This week it is time for some CHRISTMAS CRITTERS

Featuring Products by MAMA ELEPHANT

We also are celebrating DieCember!

A month log celebration that is all about the die cutting!

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash,

we would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

I started out creating my background.

I used the Glimmery Deep Sea Blue Cardstock by Simon Says Stamp.

Using Hickory Smoke and Chipped Sapphire Spray Stain

and sprayed the cardstock until liked what I saw.

Next, using a mini mister filled with Confetti White Perfect Pearls

and water I added a nice shiny layer on top of what I created.

I let this dry and turned my attention to the base of the card.

I used the second largest oval from the Nesting Ovals Die Set and

Soft Navy Cardstock by Simon Says Stamp.

I die cut a “snowy hill” from Simon Says Stamp #120 White Card Stock and the

Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders Die by Lawn Fawn

Next, using the “Dashing Thru the Snow” Stamp Set by Mama Elephant

I blocked everything out for my card at got ready to assemble.

I did end up moving my sentiment to the top part of my card using white embossing powder.

For a final touch, I added on dots of white gel for snow and some

Snowflakes from Winter Flurries by Simon Says Stamp.

That completes my take on CHRISTMAS CRITTERS

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paws Challenge - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

What a fun sketch we have for you!

I came up with this cute Holiday card.

I just love plaid and holiday colors together.

I started with a 3 ¾ x 6 ¾ card base andkl,ooooooo

some gray plaid cardstock I had in my stash.

For the circle elements, I used a couple of the

circles in the Circle Frames Die Set.

I knew that I wanted my doggie to be in Santa’s boot.

With that in mind, I kept everything red and white to match.

This card was a quick one to make.

I die cut everything out.

Embossed my sentiment on the red circle.

Added on my stamped and colored images.

and layered everything on the card base.

The final bow element at the bottom is a something

I picked up at Hobby Lobby that I thought was cute.

Let It Snow - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Here at the

This week it is time to LET IT SNOW

Featuring Products by LAWN FAWN

We also are celebrating DieCember!

A month log celebration that is all about the die cutting!

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

If you have some of their product in your stash,

we would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

I decided to be REAL ambitious for this challenge and create a

card with center of snow that you can shake.

In my quest for crafty greatness, I did not take any pictures of how I created this!

Arrghhh!

I know that you can search on You Tube and find a bunch

of tutorials on how to make a shaker card.

I can tell you that for my “snow” I chose the Tim Holtz Rock Candy Glitter.

I just love the way that it looks and has a nice swishy sound when you shake it.

I just love the sheep from the Baaah Humbug Stamp Set.

I just glued them right on to the front of my shaker along with a banner

made from the Simple Wavy Banners Die and Lipstick Red Cardstock by Simon Says Stamp.

I also added on the lights and bow from the stamp set for a festive touch.

I used Knit Picky Paper Pack by Lawn Fawn from my Stash

to be on the front and back of the card.

That completes my take on LET IT SNOW

I almost forgot the good news!

Inky Paw's Challenge - Sketch Challenge

              Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Using this unique sketch challenge

I came up with this card.

Sketch challenges are so much fun.

I just love to see how I can tweak the sketch.

In this case I used the Holiday Post Stamp for one of the circles.

To keep the card easy, I used patterned paper in the background.

I matched blue card stock to the patterned paper

for my card base of 6 ¾ x 3 ¾ and my sentiment circle.

The sentiment circle is the scalloped circle from the Circle Frames Die Set.

My final circle is the smaller 1 3/8” inch circle in the Circle Frames Die,

that I stamped on snowflakes from the Holiday Post Stamp Set.

For a final touch, I die cut the heart also from the circle frames die, out of red card stock.
