Happy Wednesday Everybody!
Time for a NEW challenge at the Simon Says
Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
This week is Use Your Favorite Tool
We are
featuring products by Tim Holtz
You do not have to use them to join in but if you have some,
we would love to see them used.
Here is my take on the challenge.
When I saw this challenge on
the list, I was totally excited and panicked.
Which Tim Holtz product to use? What IS my favorite
tool?
After all there are SO MANY AMAZING products to
use.
After a bit of thought I came back to my to
favorite Tim Holtz items
DIES and MY FAVORITE TOOL the Tim Holtz Tonic Retracting Craft Pick.
I used some of my favorite Thinlits
Dies
Alpine
Tree Line
And Bat Crazy
To create this spook night scene.
The moon behind the mountains is created with the largest
round die from the
Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Wafer Dies
I smeared on Ranger Texture Paste Opaque Crackle
on to the die cut "the moon".
Once it was dry, I inked up my “moon” using
Squeezed Lemonade,
Fossilized Amber and Crushed Olive Distress Ink
This gave my moon that creep look I was going for.
The bats were created the same way using
Simon
Says Stamp Black Cardstock and Ranger
Texture Paste Opaque Crackle.
Now to my favorite tool, the Tim Holtz Retracting
craft pick.
It is one of those tool’s that you did not know you
needed, until you buy it.
All the new dies coming out have so many intricate
areas need to be poked out.
the Tim Holtz Tonic Retracting Craft Pick is perfect for this.
I also use the tool for dropping glue into small areas
on a die cut.
I score paper with the tool. Scrape off unwanted
embossing from a mistake.
The list is endless.
These are some of my favorite items, what are
yours?
Use your favorite tool and Tim Holtz Product and link
up to the Wednesday Challenge.
That completes my card!
Now
it is your turn!
How
will you use youe Favorite Tim Holtz Product?

I love the scene you created Diane those bats look fantastic against your magnificent crackled moon. I have to agree the retractable pick is a superb tool and not just for helping tease out those tiny cuts.
