Newton's Nook Designs Back to Basics - Frames and Tags Die Set

 

Hello Everybody!

It is day one of our New Release!

Today we have the

Frames and Tags Die Set

Here is what I created

The first thing I did was to thumb through my Newtons stamps for inspiration.

The idea for this card was lots of pastel colors with a neutral card base.

The answer to this was ,

I love the way the images fit inside the windows of the frames.

I started by coloring my image first using spring colors.

I kept the color on the cat neutral so the flower colors would stand out.

Next, I chose the pink plaid color from the Pastel Basics 6x6 Paper Pad.

I used the window portion of the Frames and Tags Die Set to die cut

 out my plaid paper and a piece of white cardstock for the inserts of the windows.

How I like to assemble these dies to get a separate piece of basic white cardstock

and smear a whole bunch of glue onto the cardstock.

I add my frame to the gluey cardstock and then piece in each of the section pieces in their place.

I place a stamping block on top to weigh everything down for a couple of minutes.

Once the glue is dry, I carefully trim around the edges. Now I have the front of the card.

Next, I used the postage edge die from the Frames and Tags Die Set to create a shaped card.

I used my favorite Neenah Desert Storm cardstock for this.

Assembling this card was easy.

I just glued my paid frame to the front of the card I just created.

I glued in the white cardstock inserts next.

I add my images on to the front of the card with foam tape.

To finish this card, I stamped on the sentiment and added some enamel dots.
