Newton's Nook Designs Fall & Halloween - Day 4

Hello Everybody!

It is day FOUR of our New Release!

This this stamp set is going to LEAF you feeling crafty.

Leaf Splendor Stamp Set

Using this stamp set i created this card

To start this card, I used the following colors of distress oxide.

I chose one color for each of the leaves that I wanted to use in the Leaf Splendor Stamp Set.

I randomly stamped the leaves on to a piece of white card stock.

Since this is oxide ink the leaves had to dry completely before moving on.

I also stamped extra leaves with the same colors as I used for the background.

For these leaves, I used a water brush and just pulled out the color from the center of the leaf.

I also set these leaves aside to dry completely.

I created a card base by using sage card stock and the

largest scalloped edge dies from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

The background of leaves is now dry, I decided to use the

largest stitched rectangle in the Basic Frames Die Set to cut my leaf background.

This rectangle die fits perfectly in the center of the Frames and Flags Die.

After gluing my card front and card base together, I die cut out

all my water-colored leaves using the coordinating dies.

The sentiments on this stamp set come with coordinating

dies that cut around the sentiment perfectly!

I used straw colored cardstock and a die from the Circle Frames Die Set

to create a place for this cool looking sentiment.

To add my sentiment circle to the card I added just a

strip of foam tape to the center in the back of the circle

This way I could layer my leaves behind the sentiment.

I added leaves behind the circle until I liked what I saw.

To finish this card, I added a couple of gems.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Leaf Splendor Stamp Set

Newton's Nook Designs Fall & Halloween - Day 3

Hello Everybody!

It is day THREE of our New Release!

This stamp set is going to give you all the FALL FEELS!

Autumn Reads Stamp Set

Using this die set I created this bookmark.

The plan for this bookmark is to have a cozy fall feeling.

Nothing is cozier than Plaid! So, a plaid background it is.

I grabbed my Plaid Stencil Set, a piece of burgundy cardstock,

and Dried Marigold Distressed Oxide.

I applied the oxide to the burgundy cardstock with the stencil and let it dry.

Once the oxide was dry, I used the Bookmark Two Die Set and cut out my Plaid background.

The next thing I did was stamp out the larger stack of books from the Autumn Reads Stamp Set.

Coloring these in was so much fun! I kept the colors fall like but bold.

When everything was dry on my image, I cut out my books using the coordinating die.

To make this bookmark a little extra I stamped my sentiment on the bottom of the bookmark

and then embossed with gold embossing powder.

I added foam tape on the back of my stack of books and placed them on the front of my bookmark.

I also added on my ribbon tag held together with a cute matching Brad.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Autumn Reads Stamp Set.

This and all the other fun latest items are available Friday, September 13th

Newton's Nook Designs Fall & Halloween - Day 2

Hello Everybody!

It is day TWO of our NEW Release!

Super excited to share this fun versatile stamp.

Spooky Stories Stamp Set

Using this stamp set I created this bookmark.

My stencil of choice is the  Argyle Stencil Set

I do not use my stencils enough, and this would be a wonderful way to get practice in.

I chose teal blue cardstock for my base color.

I used Stormy Sky Distressed Ink and Salvage Patina Oxide.

It was about this time that I was starting to feel the effects of the flu.

Because of this, unfortunately I have no pictures of this process.

I do know that I love the way this background came out.

To cut out my shape I chose the Bookmark Die Set.

I placed the bookmark aside and I started working on my stamps.

I stamped out the bats from Spooky Stories Stamp Set.

In my mind I thought how it would be different to have a blue moon so, I did just that!

I used alcohol markers to color in my moon and then I added on a layer of

glitter pen let that dry, and then a layer of Stardust stickles.

Of course, all of this must dry before you can die cut your image out.

But let us check out that die cut, I love the way it cuts into all the nooks and crannies.

This gives the stamp set so much dimension.

I added my bats on to the front of my bookmark with foam tape.

Next using the banner that comes in the Bookmark Die Set

I created a banner that comes up from the bottom of the tag.

I also added a couple extra bats and three gems to make things interesting!

That concludes my take on the Spooky Stories Stamp Set

I hope you enjoyed my take on the fun and unique stamp set.

This and all the other fun latest items are available Friday, September 13th

Newton's Nook Designs Fall & Halloween - Day 1

Who is ready for fun new release!

To start things off we have two very cute stamp sets.

Trick or Treat Puppy

Using Trick Or Treat Puppy I created this card.

I started by stamping, coloring and die cutting my puppies.

To set the scene I use the Spooky Line Stencil. White ink on black card stock.

This created a cute shadow effect for my background.

Once the ink was dry, I die cut this background with the largest stitched

rectangle from the Basic Frames Die Set.

This stitched rectangle fits perfectly inside the center of the Frameworks Die Set.

I used the Frameworks Die Set  to create my card base.

To finish this card, I stamped on a sentiment and added my characters to the front with foam tape.

For Trick or Treat Newton created this card.

I started by creating a background using the Ghost Stencil and some Gray card stock.

Once the ink was dry, I die cut it out with the stitched oval from the Oval Frame Die Set.

Next, I stamped colored and die cut my images from Trick or Treat Newton

I created a card base using the scalloped portion of the Oval Frames Die Set.

I created a place for my sentiment using one of the banners from the Banner Trio Die Set

Assembling the card was easy. I glued my ghosty background to my card base.

Then I centered and adhered the banner to the card.

Adding my characters on the front of my card using foam tape comes next.

A few gems complete this card.

These fun NEW products will be avalable Friday, September 13th!

Franken-Newton Bookmark

Happy September!

This year flew by so fast!

It is time for my favorite time of year.

Halloweenthanksmas!

To start things off I have a cute bookmark/tag

For this project I used

Franken-Newton Stamp Set

Spiderweb Oval

Frames and Flags Die Set

BookmarkDie Set

To start off this project I die cut my bookmark out of basic white card stock

using the Bookmark Die Set.

To make sure that the tag was nice and sturdy, I used 120 LB card stock.

I love it when I get an idea on how to repurpose a stamp set.

The spider webs on the Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set are such a classic shape.

Using an old school technique grabbed A roll of blue tape.

I masked off a section of spider web that I wanted to use with the blue tape.

Stamp everything with your chosen ink and then remove the blue tape.

You can then stamp the image that you chose onto your project.

I repeated this technique three more times to create spider webs on the top and bottom of my tag.

Next, I stamped out the images that I wanted to use from Franken-Newton Stamp Set

Coloring in my images using my favorite colors of Copic markers

I also stamped out three of the hearts and colored those in as well.

Assembling the rest of this project was easy.

I was going to use the flag in the Bookmark Die Set, but decided it

was too large and covered up too much of the spider webs on the bottom.

I chose the slightly smaller flag from Frames and Flags Die Set instead.

This fit my sentiment perfectly and did not assume too much room at the bottom.

I stamped them on my sentiment on the flag and used white embossing powder to finish.

This is attached to the project at the bottom with foam tape.

Next, I attached the Franken-Newton images with foam tape.

Finally, I added my 3 hearts to the top of the bookmark with foam tape.

This was such a fun and quick project, and I am so happy I got to share it with you.

Thanks for stopping by

Hope you have an awesome day

 Stay crafty my friends!
