Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Welcome to DAY THREE of

Newton's Nook Designs Cozy Release!

Are you team dog or team cat?

These stamp sets are going to make it hard to decide!

First for the dog lovers!

Puppy’s Reading List

Using this stamp set I created this card.

  A shaped card was a must for this stamp!

I used the Frames Squared Die to create my card base.

  A Dog’s Life 6x6 Paper Pad was used to create my colorful background.

After stamping and coloring my puppy, I die cut out my shape

and added it to the front of card with foam tape.

I love that this stamp set has so many fun sentiments to choose from!

Now for cat lovers!

Newton’s Reading List

Using this stamp set I created this card.

I created this shaped card by creating a card base from the Circle Frames Die.

A Cats Life 6x6 Paper Pad was used to create my colorful background.

I matched my books to my background when coloring in my image.

The super cute sentiment made it hard to choose on for the book cover.

Inky Paw's Challenge 191 - Color Challenge

 

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

Here is my take on the challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

NEW Puppy Heart

Circle Frames Die Set

A Dog’s Life 6x6 Paper Pad

Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad

 Welcome to the start of a new challenge.

We have four amazing challenge colors for you to work with.

I decided to us the NEW Puppy Heart Stamp Set for my card.

Obviously the heart was going to be red, so I had to thumb thru my

Newton’s paper pad stash to see where the other colors were going to come from.

I found the yellow polka dot paper from the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad

The gray paper with the dog bones came from A Dog’s Life 6x6 Paper Pad.

I created a card base with gray cardstock and a nesting circle die from my stash.

I used the dies from the Circle Frames Die Set to cut out the papers that I chose.

Once everything was layered onto my card base, I added on my image from the

Puppy Heart Stamp Set on the front of the card with foam tape.

I also added a couple of extra hearts as well.

This completes my take on this challenge.

Inky Paw's Challenge 174 - Sketch Challenge

 Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

Using the challenge sketch, I created this card.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

(NEW) Dog Silhouette Die

(NEW) A Dogs Life 6x6 Paper Pack

Oval Frames Die Set

Frames and Flags Die Set

To start my card, I selected 3 different pieces of paper

 from the (NEW) A Dogs Life 6x6 Paper Pack.

 Yes! I am using dogs! (don’t tell my kitty girls)

I decided on the green paw prints and polka dots.

I just love these prints against the gray bone prints that I am using in the background.

Speaking of the background, I created this using the Frames and Flags Die Set.

I also used this die set to make my card shape, because I LOVE A SHAPPED CARD!

To create the oval element, I used the Scalloped Oval in the Oval Frames Die Set.

I die cut this out the scalloped shape first and then used the next size down oval complete the frame.

I used vellum to create a backing for the frame so that 

the frame does not take away from the background.

Next, I die cut my dog silhouette out of navy-blue card stock and added that to the frame.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment to the upper left side and added

 gray pearls to create the across element of the sketch. 

and that completes my take on this challenge
