What's the scoop? IPC 101

Happy Monday!
Welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!
I hope everyone had a great time playing along with challenge 100!
This time we have a color challenge.

What is Red, Pink, Lime Green and Brown
ICE CREAM!
What's the scoop? a card by Diane Morales - Summer Scoops Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs.

It has been blazing hot in Texas, and ice cream has been on my mind constantly.
The Summer Scoops Stamp Set is the perfect for this card.
Coloring should never be stressful, so I just had fun coloring MY ice cream.
I challenged myself to use ONLY the challenge colors on this card.
This made color placement very interesting.
I ended mapping my colors out a couple of times before
I had the color story I was looking for.

Once all the ice cream was colored in, I turned my attention to the background.
This was created using the Bokeh Stencil and Twisted Citron Distress Ink.

I keep adding ink to circles and stencil till I got the correct color match to my ice cream.
Keeping with the circle theme, I stamped my sentiment on a circle of white cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed my take on our challenge theme.
Now it is your turn, use the link in the challenge picture above
To show us your creations.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a lovely week.

Inky Paws Challenge 100

HAPPY 100!
Today at the Inky Paws Challenge we are hitting a milestone!
100 CHALLENGES!

I am so happy and thrilled to be a part of this celebration!
My journey with Newton’s Nook Designs started in 2015.
I was new to cardmaking and I was looking for a cat stamp set that
mimicked all the crazy stuff my cats did.
That’s when I found the
My love for Newton’s Nook was born!
I started playing along with the Inky Paws Challenge Shortly after that.
Next thing I know I’m getting the most amazing e-mail from Jennifer
asking me to be on the Challenge team and….
70 plus challenges later, here we are!
My inspiration for this challenge is the very 1st challenge that I attempted.
Challenge # 27

I got the Kraft paper right but, was heavily lacking in the sparkle part.
Here is the redo!

I started with a Kraft card base, and for my sparkle, I used one of the
smaller stamps in the set and gold embossing powder
 to make the background shine.

For the sentiment I used the

A Load of Fun IPC 99

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge!

All I can say is WOW!
What incredibly crafty projects everyone is coming up with!
I came up with this card.

Loads of Fun a card by Diane Morales | Newton Cleans Up Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs

EVERYBODY that has a cat knows that laundry becomes
extra if your cat is anywhere nearby.
The buzz of the dryer is like a dinner bell for my cats!
This is the Purrr-fect stamps set to use with rainbow theme.
The hardest part was deciding where the colors will go!
The natural choice was to have an orange kitty,
so that is my staring point.
Once my kitty was colored, I filled in my “laundry”
with colors that best match that orange kitty.

In the end I had a last color of yellow.
Why not make that my laundry basket!
The finishing touch are the rainbow hearts that I added.
These are made from the same color Distress Ink
that I used to color in my “laundry”.

Simply swatch out the color in ½ inch sections, let dry and die cut out
with the heart from the Speech Bubble Die Set.
I hope this inspires you to get out your favorite color medium and create
some rainbow using your favorite Newton’s Nook Stamps!
As always, there is link in the challenge picture.

Thanks for dropping by.

Rainbow Flower Fun IPC 99

Time for a new Inky Paws Challenge!
I know you are going to LOVE this!

For my inspiration using the NEW

I came up with this card!

Rainbow Flower Fun a card by Diane Morales| Dainty Daisies Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

Rainbow colors are so much fun!
but…too much can become a color puddle quick.
When I think of daisies, I think of tradition white ones.
So why not keep the daisies white and keep the color in the background.

I stamped out my daisies and added some green
to my leaves and yellow to the center.

To make my white POP I add a bit of gray here and there.
For the background, I cut strips of polka dot paper
for my “rainbow Color”
Each stripe was cut to ¾ of an inch so that they could fit in
the middle of the scalloped edged die from the Frameworks Die Set.

I added my daisies to the front of my card and included a sentiment
featuring the banner from the

Let’s get rainbow!
