Summertime Blues - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

 

This week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

We have a case of the SUMMERTIME BLUES

Featuring Stamps and Dies by HERO ARTS

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash,

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

Born and raised in California summertime means on thing, surfing!

Because of that I was naturally drawn to the Barrel Wave Heroscape Clear Stamp Set

This is a multi-layer stamp set, perfect for the idea that I have.

I decided on Tumbled Glass and the NEW Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink and got to stamping.

The first layer is Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.

I inked up my stamp and got the wave pressed on my card stock.

I dried that layer with my heat gun and reaped the process

stamping on my second wave using Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide.

Once the second layer was dry, I decided to get fancy.

I grabbed my Perfect Pearls in turquoise and a cube of medium.

I inked up the second stamp again with the Medium and dusted Perfect Pearls all over the wave.

This gave me a nice shimmery look when the card hits the light.

To finish my card, I stamp on a surfer at the top of the wave and a sentiment.

I glued my card front onto a card base created with

 Surf  Blue Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp.

and that completes my Clean and Simple take on SUMMERTIME BLUES
