Here
is my take on this challenge.
Little Presents and Sentiments by Paper Rose Studio
When I saw this cut little stamp set, I
thought it would be perfect for
A repetitive stamped background.
I decide to get out 2 clear stamping
blocks and just go for it!
On the second clear block I placed the sentiment.
I got out some white cardstock and just
started stamping.
I love this kind of stamping, there is
no preconceived ideas, you just stamp.
I stamped several pages of card stock until
I came up with a pattern that I liked.
To make the card front I used the Stitched
Rectangles Dies by Simon Says Stamp.
Since there is a whole lot of print
going on the card front, I decided on an old school idea
of a peephole in the card front. This would
be a cool place to
add some color with fussy-cut presents and
a sentiment.
For this I used Nesting Circle Wafer
Dies by Simon Says Stamp.
Next, I create a card base using Black
Black8 Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp.
Once my card front and base were glued
together, I add on my fussy-cut and colored presents.
I Also added on a bright red sentiment
banner.
This
completes my take on Making Your Own Background
